Amaranth was called up next, but she didn't move. "Please come up," the teacher said once more. Amaranth sneered at the teacher. "Bite me," she hissed. "If you don't come up here I'll-" "You'll what? Punish me? You really think that's a threat? You'll kick me out of class? Thank goodness! So what is it, teach? Hm?" Amaranth seemed a lot fiercer than she was. Truth was, she was cold on the inside because she was afraid of eing hurt again. She'd loved her mother, been kind - and her mother had walked out on them. her father had blamed her, and her step mother encouraged that. To keep from ever getting clsoe to anyone again, Amaranth now stayed cold and tried to stay away from everyone.

The stepmom gave her an icy smile. "Hunny, you don't want to upset me, or you'll be going to a boarding school for the rest of your education." Amaranth sneered back at her. "I can't wait," she hissed. Her stepmom tried to say something else, but Amaranth had heard enough. A kunai flew by her stepmom's throat. "Just shut up," Amaranth muttered, before walking over to a tree. It was away from everyone else. She sat down against it. she had a lunch, but she didn't feel like eating.

i came back like half of the lunch and i went to where the trees are and sat down tell the bell i was hearing some music and they got mad at me and try to take it away from me but they didn't and then the bell rang so i was just standing there till they gave back my mp3 player back and everyone else went to class they were tell me things but i wasn't listing to them why would i so we were still there

"Hide," she said simply.

Amaranth grabbed a few things, threw them in her backpack, and climbed out the window, easily landing on her feet after the two-story drop. She then turned and walked away from her home. She heard something, and followed the sound. It was the boy from earlier...She watched him for a moment.

"after she left i just started to throw fire balls everywhere and try to mess with my wind powers but it takes alot of my power so after a while i went home and my dad was just getting mad at me like always and i was going up to my room i felt all weak and i went to bed and rest i was just playing with my fire power and i just went to sleep"

As soon as she got home, Amaranth was scolded by both her stepmother and her father. She said nothing and ignroed them as she went to her room. She slammed the door shut, and then froze it shut so that they couldn't get in. She sat near the window, looking at the darkened sky. She sighed.

"it was drak and i left to the building so i can cool off and so i can use my powers for a while cause i was so mad i didn't know what to do and i sat down for a while so i can think i was think about Amaranth if she was ready ok i don't know why i care if she's fine but i do and i just got up and throw some more fire balls i was doing it for about an hour or so"

Amaranth could hear her father and her stepmother talking. "I really think we should send her to that boarding school," her stepmother said. "But would she be ok there? She hasn't seemed ok here as it is," her fatehr said. "Oh, but that's just how girls are," her step-mother lied. Amaranth clenched her fists. You want me gone? Fine! I'll leave! Amaranth grabbed a few things, threw them in her backpack, and climbed out the window, easily landing on her feet after the two-story drop. She then turned and walked away from her home. She heard something, and followed the sound. It was the boy from earlier...She watched him for a moment.

"i was so mad i throw more fireballs and i was gtting weaker but i kept going it sucks cause no one knows that i have powers that what i was thinking out loud and i just stop and sat down for a while to think to get myself together so i couldn't stop thinking about how it would be if people knew i had powers "

Amaranth was sitting against the wall. her bag was on the floor next to her. She had her arms folded and resting on her knees. She said nothing. When he asked if she was ok, she merely nodded. "I'm fine," she muttered. She stood up after a little while longer. She walked back outside. She gave a sad sigh and headed towards her house.
