Smiling slightly, Kris nodded even though he couldn't see the motion. She threw her beret onto the table, hesitantly looking toward a pack of cigarettes, Scott's favorite kind, actually. Gosh, she missed him a lot. But then he had to disappear off the face of the earth...
But she left that thought, and went down the stars, as Kris absolutly despised the elevator, making her way outside where the crisp, fresh air hit her face.
Kris used her index finger to push up her glasses as she headed in the direction to the coffee shop, a nice cup of something warm would feel nice right about now. She swiveled her head to the side to face Gill, face now blank and expressionless.
"Martin, I'm not going back. There's nothing left for me there. And you're not in charge about what I do around here, got it? The only reason I chose to come back to the group was because I know that I have to help...but don't change me. You've done enough of that already."
And so she continued on, not paying him any more attention as she stepped into the building, putting her happy face back on, snorting.
"Pretty face, my a**."
