They stopped to drop their leader off before continuing to the tournament ring. Facing the Cube, again, the Druid seemed oddly preoccupied. Making a sloppy mistake cost them the match. The Ranger did not have their bow today, and as soon as the bout started they drew their weapon and engaged in close melee. Starting out evenly matched, the merc got the upper hand and took the win. Next came the Monk, who much like the Druid seemed to have their attention elsewhere and lost to the Displacer Beast. Through it all Em sat, hope on her face. When the Warlock took their place her face lit even more. Taking their place ringside the rest of the party looked intent. This is what they had waited for. As the gong was struck the Warlock took a deep breath. Raising their staff high they cast. The dragon blew flames and the Warlock side stepped without breaking his chant. Looking victorious as the spell finished the merc watched as the Dragon fell asleep. Em came out of her seat, and the rest of the party had to hold themselves back from spilling into the tournament area to congratulate the Warlock.

The Druid had that arrogant mask on again. It cost him the fight almost immediately. Seeing this the Monk's face fell. He lost his match even quicker. Emerald stood and walked to her party. Talking and moving animatedly she gave them a pep talk.

Displacer Beast
Dragon Giving her Mercs a nod and smile apiece she returned to her seat. Watching them, letting them see how proud of them she was they both took their marks. The Druid moved with grace and ease, flowing around the cube and taking the win! Then was the Monk, who was the picture of calm facing the beast. With economy of movement and control they took their match. Em jumped up and down screaming in joy- most unlady like, but she clearly didn't care. They would advance! viatorai It can't get any worse, can it...?

Rough start, Warlock somehow tripped over clerics staff and fell into the gelatinous cube and got stuck making a comical sketch of getting him out. It did however amuse the displacer beast enough to distract it for a fatal blow from the artificer. The dragon was no amused and held the barbarian back with a claw on his head as he swung his weapons like a toddler throwing a tantrumā¦..sigh š¤¦āāļø

Barbarian had enough and raged out cutting the dragons arm and leading to its great downfall. The Cleric was able to get his wits about him and take down the Willy owlbear but the slippery gelly cube even though a lower level due to their earlier Slip up was giving them trouble and it was able to slide away and survive another day. Hopefully next time they would get them all!!
