The Dead Forest (Increased Orc activity due to skirmish)

[Kanashimi Kurai]

'Yes... this place has an abundance of big game, surprisingly.' She rose, sitting back on her haunches so that she was eye level with him.  

[Enness Vakar]

"Hmm, excellent. Been so long since I've hunted something I can eat. So much more satisfying killing prey in it's habitat then chasing down a human who's running blindly and scared."

He held out his hand, palm up and open to the wolf

"Yes, it is quite surprising, and fortunate that not many have found this place yet. Most of my race are such fools... My name's Nighthunter, Been a while since I've met any of your kind. Always interesting."  

[Kanashimi Kurai]

She moved forward, sniffing at his hand before licking it gently. 'I'm Louveteau... It's a pleasure to meet you Nighthunter...'  

[Enness Vakar]

He smiled slightly as she licked his hand and rubbed his hand gently over the top of her head

"Louveteau, beautiful name... Something to do with wolf in French I believe. And the pleasure is mine."  

[Kanashimi Kurai]

Louve nodded. 'I should probably be on my way... I have things to do...' Louve moved in the direction the rabbit had been going before Night had caught it. 'It was nice meeting you Nighthunter... perhaps I'll see you again some time...' Louveteau disappeared without another word.

Night nodded and dropped his hand back to his side

"Don't we all."

Grabbing his rifle, he stood once more and once again slung it over his shoulder, watching the wolf disappear into the forest, and even though he couldn't see it, he knew she could hear him

"I'm sure you will and I look forward to it. Good hunting Louveteau..."

He turned and disappeared into the forest himself, almost as silently and easily as the wolf, and headed back towards the stadium

As he walks through the woods, Elienatheal feels at home. his flowing cape seems to hide him as the steps swiftly, but carefully around branches and trees.

He stops at an unsually large tree.

"Here I will set my trap" he says to himself.

He begins to gather small stick into a pile beneath the tree. After collecting several of these, He begins to dig a hole.

He stops after a while. "What was that?" he whispers to himself.

Working quickly, he places the small sticks over his now large hole. After creating the look of the forest floor, he climbs up into the tree to wait.

[Vahn Fah]

"Details were sketchy at best."

"Apparently, Asano had been taking a walk, and he was attacked."

The two Korejaan's that had alerted Vahn in the first place, were now keeping steady running pace with their leader, as they neared the entrance into the forest.

"And Asano?"

"No serious injuries.."

"2nd Division has already started to make a perimeter.."

A brush of leaves, dead wood, a balanced arm upon a thick trunk- and Vahn was sitting crouched atop a hefty branch. The two Korejaan's with him were likewise perched on seperate trunks.

Vahn motioned with his right hand, spinning the index finger. Without another word, one of the Korenjaan's leapt off the branch and onto the forest floor, carefully scoping things out, while Vahn and the other, kept pace from above.

Soon, the Korejaan in the trees with Vahn broke off, veering to the side and leaving apparently.

SHRRRKK

The sudden snaps of wood was audible enough, even with the ambient sounds of the forest. Vahn paused, his hands gripping onto a tree limb, and causing him to swerve up.

Yellowed eyes scanned carefully.. but he couldn't find the Korejaan that had been running ground scouting.

Back tracking, he peered, and saw what had happened.. Apparently the shinobi had fallen in a hole of sorts..

"Ughh..Who the hell made this..?"  

[Kanashimi Kurai]

The femme werewolf wandered silently through the forest brush. She was in her full wolf form and looked like any other gray wolf, but she was slightly larger and with four black stripes running from her left shoulder to her right hip. She was currently in search of food; with the full moon drawing nearer, her appetite was increasing greatly.

The she-wolf suddenly stopped dead in her tracks. She smelled humans. Her ears perked up as her head rose skyward. Nostrils flaring, she took deep whiffs of the air, and everytime she exhaled, her steamy breath curled up into the sky. She slowly moved forward, her blue eyes glancing about cautiously.  

[kilikya]

a raven flew down from the darkened sky heading straight for the ground. a body followed close behind, tumbling onto the hard ground, but quickly regaining it's feet. she knelt in the darkness, eyes alert, body tense, her hair billowing wildly around her face. slowly she straightened and looked around her into the dense foliage surrounding her, eyes glowing, body tense for a moment as she assessed whether or not she was in any imminent danger. minutes passed and finally she was able to relax slightly.

Slowly, Eli climbed down out of the tree, Eyeing his hole.

"What poor helpless animal have I caught today?"

Suddenly, Eli could feel something pulling on his cape. He spun around and saw that his cape was caught on a branch. He jumped back up the tree in an attempt to free his cape. He could not regain his grip that he once had. Falling to the ground with a rip of his cape. Immediately he lost conciousness.  

[Vahn Fah]

Vahn had remained hidden in the trees, so to speak, merely watching- to see if whoever built the hole would show themselves.

The Korenjaan had managed to climb up out of the hole alreadyand was dusting himself off, even as a small sound was heard.

Moments later, the second Korenjaan who had seemed to leave, was standing next to Vahn, with a unconscience man in his arms.

"Kyonuske-sama! I found this man laying on the ground.. I think he was attacked as well!"

"..."

Vahn looked over the man for a bit, noticing that the cloth he wore on his back was ripped..

"Take him to the stadium. Let Tekaru look him over."

"Right away!"

The Korenjaan leapt off the branch, and landed with the one who had fallen in the hole. They conversed for a bit, and then both of them headed back towards the Stadium.. leaving Vahn alone.

Eli is woken up by a continuous buming feeling. When he opens his eyes, he finds to his amazement that he is being carried toward the edge of the woods. He then notices that he does not have his staff.

"My staff! I need my staff"
He then remembers that he has his staff in his pack

Eli feels more relaxed now, and the darkness takes him again.

Louveteau's concentration on the human scent was broken as she stirred up a rabbit that had been hiding in the bushes. Without a second thought to the humans who could be nearby, Louve gave chase to the tiny creature. The full moon was drawing nearer and her control over her animal intincts was starting to slip.

The rabbit darted from the brush, right before a big tree and then suddenly swerved left. But Louve couldn't turn like that, she lunged from the brush and hit the ground, trying to skid to a halt as she saw the hole in the ground. It was all to no avail. Much like the ninja had before her, Louveteau fell into the hole with a yelp.

Eli, His short unconciousness having faded away. wakes up to the sound of a yelp. He silently returns to his hole. He climbs up the tree that he was sitting in before. He can see Louveteau in his hole from this location. Eli stays in the tree, just to be safe.
