Louve slowly rose to her feet after the initial shock of hitting the ground. She shook her body, throwing off loose soil. Once she had oriented herself, she sat back on her haunches and looked up, trying to determine if she could jump out of the hole.

Eli, balancing in the tree, got distracted while staring at the creature and slipped off the branch. He fell downward, crashing through several smaller branches. The worst was yet to come: the large branch at the bottom. About as thick as his head, Eli knew he would not just snap this one.

With great pain in sight, a familiar tugging was felt around his neck. Turning his gaze, he saw his cape was snagging on a broken branch. The sudden tightening of the cape around his neck chocked his breath. He struggled to take a deep breath, he then remembered the creature stuck in his trap.

((no munching here, just putting my character in lots of danger. which will happen alot. sorry for the delay, just had to think a while))

Vince bowed to the other, letting out a small, rather meak, "yes master," before turning and looking to his "home." He decided he'd make the best of it, and work to create something with it. He sat and thought for a while.

After about ten minutes, he began collecting stray sticks and wood, plus a meal for himself. that took all of ten minutes to get everything he would need. Vince worked fast. He skinned the bearl, after having fed on some of it's flesh. He placed the pelt on a branch to let it dry, and began going to work with the sticks. he built a makeshft frame, that dug into the ground with long sticks, about two feet in, with some thick chunks of wood. He then placed the pieces of his ripped up thing at the base, to help it support the wood. When that was done, he took the pelt and strang it up, covering the area well.

Vince stepped back and looked at his work. What could be see was a work of good enginuity. The sticks that stuck from the ground had groves at their top, to hold some other pieces of wood, and the "floor" was dug in about one foot, allowing a bit more room. It was about seven feet long, and the pelt was big enough to cover it well. All in all, it was pretty nice, though all he could do was lay under the pelt, to keep him from the rain.

He then began to "wash" himself. He stripped his clothing away, and was immedietly enveloped in a flame, which vaporized the dirt and grime all over his body. When he was finished, he replaced his clohes on himself, having successfully cleaned them as well. he was squeaky clean. He sat in the tree and stared off into space.

::Vince's wake up call was the sound of a rip. Two sets of claws ripping a bear's pelt from off of its place and beginning to fold it. The two hands belonged to Cerebus. And while therewas a very big question, as to how he suddenly appeared, he wasnt giving any answers. He simply shouted up to the tree while holding the pelt in his hands.::

Whats the meaning of this?

::The pelt of course.::

He leaped from the tree, landing at the other's feet with a grunt, keeping on one knee and not looking up. "I was taught to use your surroundings to stay alive, master."

::Cerebus angrily swung the pelt at Vince in an attempt to smack him with it.::

So you abuse your surroundings?! You killed a cub, a child! COWARD! If you ever kill a child such as this one again I promise you, you will die his death! Now bury this!

::The wolf's face was filled with anger, his eyes were slanted and his brow was furrowed, to say the least he was angry. Its one thing to kill a deer, or a rabbit to roast and eat, but it was another entirely took kill a young animal. Especially something of noble strength, like a bear. Being a wolf Cerebus was quite in touch with nature, the only reason he did no aim to kill Vincent right here and now is because it would undo the act of saving Vincent, and inturn make Cerebus look foolish.::

His face moved with the pelt, being smacked harshly and creating a red mark. He slowly rose and took the pelt, not looking up as he turned and began to dig with his bare hands. "I am sorry, master."

::Words to the wolf are empty, its action that counts. One can say they are sorry, and do it again, and again several times. Cerebus's folded his arms and began a low growl. Like disgruntled drill sargeant rushing his cadet with just his presence, he wasnt here to dig wholes he was here to teach. But if this grave wasnt properly made not only would it shame the cub, but it would anger the mother. And a 10ft tall monstrosity is not something you want peaved at you.::

Hedug the grave about four feet deep, working quickly. He made sure the pelt was neatly folded and placed it in the bottom, pushing the dirt back in, and then pating it down gently. he then rose and turned to the other. "Is this good, master?" His face remained downcast.

Good? Good is title given to those who have worth! Good would have been never needing to dig at all! You are far from good, now get on your feet!

::Cerebus was harsh, he was hard, and he was cruel. Like a blacksmiths hammer smashing down without mercy against a stubborn chunk of metal. He waited for Vince to rise and while he waited he clenched his right and left fists allowing for several pops in his joints as his fingers crunched down. His eyes sparked slightly and Vince might even notice a nano-second flash of black. Just a flash, barely even able to register on the human eye. When Vince rose he spoke, just one simple command. Cerebus had already explained his feelings about holding back.::

Hit. Me.

He stood slowly, eyes still downcast. After the order was given, he did not hesitate, moving forward as quick as a flash, quickly swinging a powerful punch for his stomach, follow by a knee to the same area.

But something was wrong! he wasn't moving quickly at all! he was moving like a normal human! he coudl still see the world move slower than normal, but now he was moving just as slow. And his punch had quite a bit less ummph to it. The other probably wouldn't be happy, and Vince was fearful. his eyes were wide as the slowly moving left arm moved towards it's target, and his right knee came ready for the second hit.

::Cerebus's braced his body, the wolf knew how to take a hit. He knew how to counter a hit but he wanted to judge his pupil's strength. As expected, he was hit. The punch impacted his stomach which much less effect than he expected and his right eyebrow raised.

Now lets clerify this, the punch did hit, and it did hurt. And had he not been completely stationary and waiting for the hit, he would have shown more of a reaction. But he was honestly expecting alot more. Then came the knee, it also proved to be less than expected, as the knee came Cerebus's reached his right hand down and gripped it at the knee cap, and the lifted, basically aiming to lift Vince upside down by his leg.::

What type of foolishness is this!? You dare mock my intellegence?! I saw you fight that human, your speed was much more than this insulting pittance! I want MORE! Fight for your life, or be prepared to die!

::And just as he shouted more, he would basically aim to flick Vincent by his leg off to the side. Just a loose flick like someone tossing away so much refuse.::

Vince hopped on his tiptoes, staring into the other's eyes, trying his damndest to speedhimself up, and it showed. But he couldn't. He could see everything happening slowly, but he could not move faster than all of it. Instead, he found himself using one firm catch on the ground to launch his leg up, twisting his body and trying to place the foot firmly against the other's face, in a harsh kick. But it would not be as powerful as one could make it, and again, it showed. He was giving it his all, but for some reaosn, his all wasn't the old him. It was this new... almost human form.

::Good. Good initiative, a kick to the face even despite his position. Needless to say the kick stopped Cerebus's attempts to throw Vince, but the interuption wasnt solely because of the kick. The Soul Brand was being monitored almost constantly, it seemed, especially recently that something was trying to break through it, but failing miserably. Vince even smelled slightly different, more....average.

The jolt from the kick to the face caused Cerebus to release Vincent, and to smirk as a trail of black blood dripped from his lip.::

So....your one of them. That will spare you nothing, but you will show them the value of their pathetic lives... Come at me!

::Really all of that line beside the last few words, while said outloud were meant for Cerebus himself. It was more him re-assuring what he already knew to be fact in his own mind.::

Vince was caught off balance when he was released, and tumbled just a little bit. He shifted his weight, and evened out, just in time to hear the words. He took the initiative and dug his toes into the ground, forcing himself off and rushing the other. he lowered his shoulder, and tried to place the left on in the other's gut, while both hands went to pull his legs out from under him, and then pin him on the ground. His eyes searched for any sort of difference as he moved.
