Gah, I didn't see this thread first! crying (eh, I posted in the rammstein Dreams and the Where I first heard Rammstein thread.. BEFORE I saw this n00b thread. sorry. sweatdrop )
Erm.. I'm Annie.. the rest of my real name is in my profile if you're interested. Uh... I don't need to say I like Rammstein, because obviously I wouldn't be here if I didn't. lol I have a tie of favorite Rammsteins songs (top favorites anyways) between "Wo bist du" and "Ohne Dich"... Wo bist Du is usually my personal theme (a.k.a. favorite) but on my MySpace Ohne Dich is the top of my playlist. (if you want my MySpace, in my profile my website is listed under my occupation on the far left under the Details section. I'm sure you can find my MySpace on my navigational bar lol)
Er.. I live on a farm consisting of chickens, goats, cats, and a dog.. My actual occupation (compared to what is said in my profile) is a senior high school student. I'll be graduating (hopefully) this year and I'm already accepted into the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I will major in Media Arts and Animation. I will be an animator with the traditional 2-D and the new 3-D animation. I'll be attending there for 3 years and might work in a studio in Florida, or I might even try to shoot for working for Disney.
Uhm.. Till is probably my favorite band member in Rammstein, though I love them all lol. I actually have been called a Nazi for listening to Rammstein simply because they're a German rock band that sound hardcore.. frankly, anyone who called me a Nazi for that, I called them a Communist. But the people who have heard of rammstein and have only listened to Du Hast and nothing else, find it amazing that I know the lyrics... It's not that hard to memorize since there's not much there TO memorize. >.>;
My mom gives me weird stares because she doens't like the fact that I'm an American listening to a foreign langauge band, but my dad finds it neat that I can learn a bit of german from listening to Rammstein lol.
Uh... I guess that's it so.... ta-da? sweatdrop
NOTE: Sorry for the wall of text! sweatdrop

Hey all! I'm Richard or Zecksie, whichever you prefer. I'm a total fanboy, or so says my roommate rolleyes but I guess he's pretty much right. Richard is my favorite most often (not just because it's my name too!), but everyone else has their time. Every now and then I might write some fic for you.
Oh yeah, about me. Teenager, college, in the Carolinas (USA) most of the time. Other German bands I like include And One, Eisbrecher, Feeling B, OOMPH!, Megaherz...
Favorite song is an impossible question! My favorites are probably Amour, Zerstoeren, Sehnsucht, DRSG, AzA, Benzin, Rein Raus, Dalai Lama... Favorite album is a toss-up between Sehnsucht and Reise, Reise. I own all five albums, Live Aus Berlin, and a Rosenrot t-shirt.
I guess that's all. You'll probably hear a lot from me. I don't know how to shut up! biggrin

Hello, everyone! Bring some coffee. This is going to be one of those long, rambling posts...
You can just skip over the stuff that isn't in bold, if you prefer.
[I keep a lot of personal information to myself, like my name, age, and residence, but I'll share other things about myself here.]
I am an American, and I take German as a second language. I'm willing to admit that I'm only a first-year, but my teacher (who remarks that Rammstein makes him want to punch babies) makes it a very easy and fun class. It's currently my favorite class, and Herr P is my favorite teacher. I have taken German before, but it really wasn't a good class. The teacher gave us phrases to memorise, then never taught us why the verb endings change or any of the grammatical rules. Looking back on it now, it was a mess.I think that the German language is beautiful, in a comical sort of way (I don't mean to offend anyone, but it's hard to explain.), and I hope to actually go to Germany someday with my sister, who will be totally dependant on me the entire time due to the fact that she doesn't know a word of German, and those 'learn a new language' tourist books are very misleading... -ahem- Anyway, I suppose I should move on to a different subject.
Of course, this guild is for Rammstein, so I'll explain my veiw on the band. I may get shot for this, but a year ago, I wouldn't have known anything more about Rammstein than hearing them mentioned every once in a while at school. I didn't take German because of them, and I don't listen to them because they sing in German. Really, it was my sister's fault that I got hooked. gonk To make a long story short, her friend had burned her their 'Reise, Reise' album, she had hated it, and gave it to me because I was just starting my first year of actual German class. I listened to it once and was hooked. In haste, I went to every store I could find, asking if they had any Rammstein albums. Only one did, and they only had two: Reise, Reise, and Sehnsucht. I bought the ones I could and left wish a sigh and fifty dollars left over. I spent it on a new video game anyway. xD
I'll explain why I joined the guild, then get on to more things about my personality, and all that other crap you don't care about. As I mentioned before, I've only been a rabid Rammstein fan for less than a year, and I realised that I haven't taken much time to actually get to know the band. Really, I don't do that with any band I listen to. I couldn't name more than two members of Rammstein, or any other band I listen to, and that made me wonder... Was I missing out on something? I'd never thought much about the people behind the music, or the fanbase behind the people behind the music, so I decided that this would be a great oppertunity to do so. Being around other Rammstein fans and getting to converse freely about the band and German culture is an experience I'm looking foward to. ^^
Now, here's some random bits of informations about myself:
I'm female, and most of the idiots at my school call me goth or emo. I will admit that I dress a bit on the dark side, but I'm not about to label myself to please them. My favorite color is purple of all shades, followed by bright blue and green. I like plaid, stripes, and rainbow patterns. My favorite bird is the owl. My favorite kinds of owls are, in no particular order, burrowing owls, barred owls, barn owls, snowy owls, and dwarf owls. I also have grown to love seagulls, and often daydream about raising a dwarf owl and a seagull in my house. I have two cats and one dog. The cats are both female tabbies named Marie and Tigger. Marie belongs to me, and Tigger to my sister. My dog's name is Daisy, and she's a keeshond. I'm very self-concious and avoid contact with people very often in real life. I still have issues when it comes to dealing with customers at work. I tend to get very defensive of both the English and German language, so if you use chatspeak a lot or have poor spelling and grammar, I can be very bitchy about it. I also get a little bit annoyed when people stick random bits of another language into their conversations (choo baka! I hate you!), but that's my own problem. xD Oh, did I also mention that I'm a fan of anime and manga? Nope. I didn't. When I say anime, I don't mean Naruto or InuYasha, or crap like that. I go for the quality stuff, like Death Note and Angel/Dust. I've been drawing in that style for a while now too.
Anyway, I guess I'll wrap things up. I'm pretty sure that this is getting to be a little too long. If anyone wants to talk about.. well... o____o anything, really, then they can just send me a PM. I love having nice little conversations with people about all kinda of stuff, from music to the war on terror. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Hope to see you all around the guild soon!
~L.S.
