Emery raised her eyebrows at Ren, confused on what he was apologizing about. "I don't expect you to stop calling me an idiot." She said, smiling in his direction. She knew that bickering was just the nature of their relationship, and she didn't feel like any effort needed to be put into fixing that. She looked back up into his eyes, a smirk on her face. "I guess this means I should let you help me now, doesn't it?" She asked, knowing fully well that he wouldn't take no for an answer on the subject.

He then paused, patting the spot next to him on the seat.

Emery smirked at his demand. Since she now knew that he really was trying to help her, Emery had decided not to put up a fight to his strange requests. She stood up slowly, fully aware of how high in the air the were. She stepped slowly over to the other side of the carriage before sitting next to Ren. She turned to face him before saying her next words. "Just because I'm letting you help me doesn't mean I'm useless though." She reminded him, still thinking back on the words he said before.

His phone buzzed, and he checked to see who had messaged him.

He shut off the phone. Then, he sighed.

Emery raised an eyebrow as Ren checked his phone. While she didn't want to breach his privacy, she was also curious as to what could make him sigh like that. "What's wrong?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"...Just another spam mail." Ren said, annoyed that his childhood friend was spamming his mailbox again, after the week of "no-spamming" agreement.

Emery nodded as he mentioned that it was just spam mail, under the impression that he meant the random spam texts that sometimes get sent out by companies. "I get those all the time. Usually I just don't open it if I don't recognize the number."

Suddenly, the door to the ferris wheel opened, signaling the end of the ride. She began to stand up, preparing to exit it with Ren. "What should we do next?" She asked, stepping out of the carriage.

When the ride was over, Ren stepped out.
He looked around, before he caught sight of something.
"Why don't we go there." he said, smirking as he gestured toward the merry-go-around, "Don't the Princess want to have a turn on that."

Emery glared at him as he called her princess, not appreciating the new nickname. "Do not call me princess." She huffed, walking in the direction of the merry go round anyway. She hadn't been on the ride, and it didn't look like too horrible of a ride. As they neared the ride, her eyes eyed the horses in front of her. She wasn't sure if she would be able to put enough weight on her leg to swing her other one over. She was determined to try, however, and she walked over towards a gray horse with a determined look on her face.

Ren lifted her into the horse, and then stood there beside her.
"Just in case you fall off." he said, keeping one hand on the horse.

Emery was able to sit up on the horse with the assistance of Ren. She noted that the horse was not the most comfortable thing to sit on, but she didn't complain about it. She gave Ren a strange look as he refused to move from her side.
"Don't you want to ride one too? I'm not gonna fall off." She insisted, gesturing to the horse next to hers. She didn't want him to miss out on a good opportunity just because he was paranoid. "If you're really that worried, this is a large horse. I'm sure we can both fit." She blushed slightly at the strange offer, but her facial expression didn't falter. She attempted to scoot forward on the seat, proving that there was enough room.

Emery faltered as he asked her to hang onto him. Not only was she surprised by the request, but she was still trying to get over her old fear of physical contact. "Okay..." She muttered, as she leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him. It was oddly warm, taking her by surprise. "Thanks for looking out for me." She said gratefully, feeling vulnerable due to the strange situation.
