I'm fairly sure that it's possible, but the weapon partners would have to be similar weapons. Like, they would both need to be some form of gun, or sword, or scythe, etc. Because having one partner be a gun and the other be a sword would cause problems resonating, if that makes sense. But that's just my theory at least. It would probably be best to ask the captain or crew directly.
