Ren held the look of suspicion for a moment more, before inputing his number.
Then, he passed his to her.
"Here." he said, "Just don't do anything weird on it."

Emery took her phone back and saved his contact information. After entering her information into his phone, she gave him a mischievous smile. She quickly opened the camera and held the phone up, making sure she could fit the both in the frame. She still enjoyed taking pictures, as she had discovered earlier in the day. Respecting Ren, however, she asked his permission before clicking the shutter button. "Can I do it?" She asked, still holding it so they could see themselves in the phone in front of them.

Emery grinned into the camera, hoping to counteract Ren's serious expression. She clicked down on the shutter button, taking the picture. After deciding she was satisfied with it, she handed the phone back to Ren. "How much farther do we go?" She asked.

"Right there." Ren said, as he gestured toward the spot that a crowd of people had gathered around.
They walked to the grassy area where the fireworks were about to begin.
"It should start in around five minutes." he said, before turning to her, "...Are you cold."
It was getting slightly chilly, and thus Ren had to ask if she was fine, wearing no jacket and all.

Emery blushed at the question, still getting used to Ren trying to take care of her. "No." She snapped immediately, not wanting him to worry. As she said this, however, she felt her body shiver. "I mean... it is a little chilly." She admitted, avoiding his gaze. She sat down on the grass, still avoiding his gaze.

Ren took off his jacket, covering her shoulders gently with it.
Then, he sat down beside her, close enough so that their bodies could touch just barely.
He kept his head facing forward, so that he wouldn't have to look at her, and get embarrassed.

Emery's blush deepened as he put his jacket over his shoulders and sat down next to her. He was close enough that she could hear his breaths, making her even more nervous. She fumbled awkwardly for her words before speaking to him. "Aren't you going to be cold now?" She asked, looking slightly in his direction.

Just then, the fireworks started.

Unsure that Ren would really be warm enough, Emery moved closer to him in hopes to share body heat. Her blush continued, despite the fact that she was trying to seem nonchalant.

Emery's eyes widened at the fireworks in the sky above her. It had been years since she had last seen fireworks, and she had forgotten how amazing they were. A smile spread across her lips as she watched. "Their beautiful!" She said quietly.

Emery pulled her phone out again, snapping another picture to send to Lila. She wasn't sure how long the fireworks were going to last, but she was glad she came. "I keep thanking you for coming with me, but thanks." She said yet again, immediately regretting that she probably sounded overly grateful even though all they did was come to the amusement park. "I almost just don't want to leave, you know?" She added, still watching the sky.

"Yeah...it was a lot of fun." he admitted, blushing, "Let's do it again some time."
He said the last part so quietly that she almost didn't hear it.

She was still having problems expressing herself, and the recent events of the day were causing her to become very confused on her feelings for Ren.
