[Foxi Doll]

The Death Peak came to a halt as the military attacked. Several minutes passed as the barrages continued. Suddenly a large blast emanated from its core. A massive EMP burst, which shorted out all electrical devices in the area. The whole area went quiet then, either from technical difficulties or from fear.

Senaka knew that she did not have much time to do what she planned. Leaving the infirmary, she made her way to the nearest garage. Since everyone was busy, nobody noticed her hijack one of the jeeps.

Racing through the town, she reached the gates where a shadow loomed higher than the walls. Waiting to strike. All around it Ace and his men had lined up to attack. She only hoped they didn't die before it was stopped.

All helicopters and jets crashed killing multiple people. The tanks and the AC-130 unaffected continued to fire as people on the mounted jeeps continued to fire the 50 cal magazines. Ace has lost all communications and knows that it is all over if they cannot stop this thing here Ace then notices a Jeep still working headed towards the machine. Using his binoculars he looks to see it is Senaka and grabs a headset out of the gargae the one that still works anyways "Senaka I know you can hear me. What are you doing? You are going to get yourself killed. You not only have my men firing where your headed but you have an AC-130, and tanks attacking as well."

"Well that's the idea silly," she answered the radio transmission.

"The only way to stop something from destroying is to show that it is hurting what it was charged to protect." Wiping the sweat from her brow, she pressed the gas petal down and the jeep popped forward as it accelerated.

Ace starts to think about what she was saying then yelled into the headset "I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!" But it was too late to do anything about it as Senaka was already at the machine.

Ace then pulls out the Nuclear device from his pocket and waits to see if what she was doing was going to work. If it failed he would open it up with the key he had and press the button launching a nuke from orbit destroying everything even this machine.

Senaka sets the receiving end of the headset back on the seat beside her. She could still hear his frantic voice as she drove into the shadow of the Death Peak.

Closing her eyes, she did a silent prayer. One of protection and guidance. This was going to hurt.

Near the base of the Death Peak, a mass shifted open like a mouth. Inside was black and parts moved in quick jerking motions, like gnashing teeth. Like a shovel, it dug forth and scooped the jeep up along with a ton of sand.

A second later, the giant halted. Shuttering again, it rattled in the sun before it stopped completely and settled in the sand.

A wolf's howl resonated through the ensuing silence.

Ace not able to give orders and now the machine stopped what could Ace due? All the men stopped firing as it halted and waited to see what had happened ".....Well?"

A rush of steam billowed out of a vent on the side of the giant. Then a hatch large enough for a tank to use opened up, the wall dropping like a ramp into the sand. More steam escaped, but the dry winds quickly carried it away.

Out of the steam stumbled a figure. Managing a wobbly few more steps, the figure then collapsed and slid down to the sand.From so far away Ace could just make out the streams of stark blue hair.

Ace uses the comm system and rewires it so it can be heard by people thirty meters away. "The machine has stopped moving secure it and spread this to everyone." Ace takes the AC-130 to the site and uses a rope to slide down to the figure with an armed squad. "Senaka It's me Ace were securing the area and we are now gonna get you to the medics." Ace says turning the figure over.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea, but," a hoarse voice sounds from inside the hatch. At the same time Ace turns the figure over. The person who is there is not Senaka, nor is she alive. She looked younger and paler with blue veins protruding along her skin. Her eyes were devoid of life and blood trickled from her lips.

"I'm right here," the Noble says as she steps down along the ramp. Hair in a braid, but strands fraying out, she walks slowly down the incline to Ace. Blood is splattered over her body, but she looks otherwise intact, despite the dirt and grime that covered her body.

Ace and the other Marines look at her with confusion then they look at Ace for orders "..Alright quickly Get Senaka and this..person? On board the ship and take them back to the city for Senaka's treatment and the examination of whoever this is body."

"Don't bother. I know who it is," Senaka said as she drew closer. Sadness swept over her face then.

"That is the Noble, Sister Finite Wave. She was a junior Noble, one who had not lived long enough to earn the name Eternal."

Kneeling down beside the body, she closed the girl's eyes with her hand.

"This should not have happened. She was not old enough to be granted access to these. Someone put her in the Death Peak," Senaka sighed back the tear that threatened to fall. "She should not have needed to die."

"Alright we will at least take her back to be burried and we will get you a check up but before that do you know who could have done this? I will send someone people to the Nobles land to ask questions and tell them what has happened."  

[Foxi Doll]

Senaka went still as she thought it over.

"At the moment no. Let me think on it," she replied. Looking down at the face of Finite Wave, she felt a heavy weight lay on her shoulders. Just another she could not save.

"As for your messengers, wait before you send them. I wish to send a message of my own with them."

((Doing a time skip if you don't mind, it would be kinda bothersome to do posts about returning so lets make it up to whenyour back in the hospital.))

"That can be done but for now lets head back." The rest of the military arrive at the scene and start to take the machine under its control and the two are lifted up onto the gunship.

Later Ace walks into the infirmary to check on Senaka "Sorry I don't have much time but I wanted to see if your alright. The base is under stress after today's events...You always seem to end up here." Ace says laughing

"The mark of a true hero, or a stupid one," she laughed as Ace entered the room. She sat on the edge of the bed, a bandage wrapped around one wrist.

"Well to tell you the truth, I was worse the first time I was here. Most of my wounds are superficial. A broken wrist the biggest ache I have to deal with. Lucky me, it'll heal in a few days," she admitted with a smile. It was cut short by a twinge of pain, but she relaxed into it. Small price to pay in her book.

"Since you're here, take this. It's a letter for the Noble Court. They'll want to know how a Death Peak managed to get loose," she said as she handed him a sealed envelope.
