AmberTail, her tail flicking from side to side, padded up to Applefrost, her face a mask of confusion. "Hey AppleFrost..." She mewed. "Do you know where Danny is? I haven't seen him since I sent him out to go on Patrol with you. Did he stay out to hunt? He's not in camp..."

Applefrost started at her. Oh no! That mouse-brained cat left when it was sun high! He was supposed to leave at nighttime with me. She shook her troubled thoughts away. Nah, he could be hunting... she thought. Applefrost answered, "I haven't seen him, I'm afraid. When we finished outr patrol, he dashed to camp, and I stayed behind, hunting." She meowed. "Did he say anything though?" She asked.

She licked her chest, trying to cover up her worry. "Well, no...he mentioned to me yesterday that he was anxious to get out of camp. I'm a bit worried that he's gone back to his Rogue nature..." She sighed and grabbed a thrush from the pile. "Well, if you see him, would you let me know?" Without waiting for a reply, the Deputy turned away and disappeared through a fern bush, muttering to herself.

Applefrost gave a sigh. She hoped that he was able to wait for night to come so that he can go find the cat. She shook her head helplessly. If he left without her, then who knows what could've happend? She heaved another sigh and sat down, head on paws.

Ambertail curled her tail around her paws as she looked around up at the stars appearing in the sky. The deputy frowned, her ears pulling down. Danny....what if...what if you've become.... She shook her head viciously, standing up to shake her whole body. Leaping down from her perch on the rock, she padded up to AppleFrost. "I need you to go out and see if you can find out where Danny's gone. If he's...if he's gone beyond the border, then don't go after him. Come back and let me know." With that said, she turned away and trudged, clearly upset, up the path to the Warrior's den.

Applefrost dipped her head to the deputy. "Right away Ambertail." She meowed. She stood up and stretched. Afterwards, she ran out of camp, following his faint scent deeper into ther forest. Where are you? She thought. The expression on Ambertail's fave and body made her sad. She shook her head, trying to clear it. She had to concentrate.

Danny knew that he was in a heap of trouble. The stars through the crack in the hole told him that he should have been back at camp hours ago. He shifted, trying to get a foothold on one of the cracks in the hole, but found that he had no such luck. Energy wasted, he slumped back, the rocks biting into his shoulder. He growled, remembering the fox that had startled him. The very same fox that had chased him through the clearing. The one he shouldn't have been watching as he ran and fell into the hold he was stuck in. He sighed, wondering when he would pick up the sound of voices calling him.

His stomach growled. "I'm hungry...."

Applefrost followed his scent, until it had vanished. She gave a frustrated hiss and yowled, "DANNY!" She knew it was hopeless that she yelled. She looked around. The stars glittered coldy, and she sagged her shoulders. She looked around, trying to catch his scent, but it was gone. She thought, I wonder what happened?

Danny, half asleep, roused at Applefrost's call. Sucking in the deepest breath of his life, he called out. "Hey! I'm HEEERE!" Frustrated, he wriggled and shook, trying to pull himself loose, but to no luck. He sat back again, hungry. "I'm here..."

Applefrost heard Danny's voice nearby. She jumped up on her paws and ran towards the sound, until she caught his scent... Underground? Applefrost looked bewildered. She meowed, "Danny? Are you here?"

Danny waved a paw, his view of the bright, claw shaped moon, and silverpel, lost. "Down here, Applefrost. In this hole here." He mewed casually. "You wouldn't happen to have a mouse, would you? I'm pretty hungry. I've been down here since sun high. There's a fox in the territory and it chased me through the meadow. But I didn't cross the border, I swear! I didn't go to see that cat!"

((Could you guys do me a favor and post the important things in the updates? Like it was daybreak and now we can see silverpelt? I kinda needed to know that... And the other stuff like Danny crossing the border))

Applefrost nodded her head. "Ok, I'll catch a mouse for you, then I'll help you up." She meowed.

Several moments later, Applefrost appeared with a mouse in her jaws. She dropped it to him.
