[Solner]

"Well, the angel guy, Aryn, I know what he can do. And Meryl is an... associate of mine. So, yeah, I know them."  

[Kairi Nightingale]

Kairi looked at the two newcomer's, slightly confused, and gently coaxed Kala off of her lap so she could stand up. At Hikuro's answer, she turned to him and asked, "Wait, you know Meryl? I just met her today. Is she with Solner too?" Before Hikuro had the chance to answer, she turned to Kenden as well and said, "And I think it would be best if we confronted them later. If a fight starts, it might ruin the rest of the night for everyone. I'll go talk to them about it sometime after the dance. Okay?"

Kala stood up and wiped the last of her tears away and smiled at Kairi. "Thanks Kairi." Kenden Sighed. "Fine." He stood up and looked at Hikuro. "Do you mind?" He asked gesturing at the water. Kenden ignored the newcomers and looked at his sister and Kairi.  

[Solner]

"I think I won't, Kenden." Hikuro smiled mischeviously as he got an idea. The water formed over Kenden's head and incased him, and then froze over into a block of ice, trapping Kenden inside.  

[Kairi Nightingale]

Kairi crossed her arms and gave Hikuro a look.  

[Solner]

Hikuro looked back at Kairi and said "Aww, come on. He'll be able to get out."

Kenden spmirkd. "Wow, very mature Hikuro." He said. Kala looked at Hikuro. "Why'd you do that?" She asked him. Kenden put his hands on the ice and concentrated. It started to ripple and opened up. Kenden got out and looked at Hikuro. "I hate using that power just so you know." He said, a little out of breath.  

[Solner]

"Then you won't mind doing it again, right?" As Hikuro finished the ice melted and surrounded Kenden , freezing solidly around him again.

"You are so asking to get hit Hikuro." Kenden said under his breath as he placed his hands on the ice again. This time the whole thing rippled and shattered. Kala giggled.  

[Solner]

"Breaking it just makes it easier to turn it back to water." Hikuro waved his hand a few quick times through the air. The shards of ice melted fast and once again surrounded Kenden and froze in place.

Kenden sighed. "Now this is just getting old Hikuro." Kenden placed his hands on it once again shattering it and shot a look at Hikuro. "Kairi, if you don't make him stop, you're going to lose a friend," He said gesturing at Hikuro, "Or two." He said gesturing at himself and Kala. "And one won't end pretty." He said, his hands in fists glareing at Hikuro. Kala had found a bench by some flowers and wasn't even paying any attention to them anymore.  

[Solner]

"Well that is no fun. You are boring, but that power is interesting. What is it?"
Hikuro pulled out his note book from earlier that he was convinently still carrying.

"It's called none of your business Hikuro." Kenden said, still glareing at him. "What grade are you supposed to be in anyways if you're sitting here acting like a first grader?" He said to Hikuro. Kala heard than and shot a spark at her brother. "And, what's that supposed to mean?" She said. Kenden dodged the spark only just. "Nothing Kala." He said.  

[Solner]

"I am in eleventh grade, and I am way smarter than you. My maturity may be lacking, sure, but that is because of something you'll never understand. But that doesn't subtract from the point at hand - you and I are at ends, and the one in the middle is Kairi. That means that you and I probably won't get along in the end of this, but I can't really say whether or not that will matter for much longer." Hikuro smirked as he placed his hands on his chest and slowly drew them out and down to his sides. His hair fell again, and now in a much more refined voice he said "So why don't you and I settle this like men."  

[Kairi Nightingale]

Kairi had stopped paying attention to the two boys shortly after Hikuro had trapped Kenden in an ice cube for the second time. She had, instead, wondered over to Kala and looked at the flowers with her. "They're so pretty... Hey, look," she said to Kala, pointing at a lady bug crawling along one of the stems.
