Sir Langley(not sure how to shorten your name): Hullo, and thanks. :] On the topic of Christmas, I agree I don't seem to like the Christmas season much either. I hate receiving gifts in front of people (it makes me feel insanely awkward and uncomfortable, I have yet to figure out why), and it's just a stressful time in general.

And I completely agree. I'd rather not receive any gifts, than have to open/accept them in front of a bunch of people.

You know what's worse? The fact that the most beautiful time of the year around here, which is mid to late fall, only lasts for a few weeks. The rest of the year it's either too cold, or too hot... too damp and squishy or too dry and suffocating.

I'm sure that, if you lived somewhere where it snowed a lot, you'd hate it after the initial novelty of it wore off. After all, the grass is always greener on the other side, right? xP

AB: YES. gonk Usually during late winter it snows ridiculous amounts at weird, sporadic times. You get two feet or so, then it gets warmer and turns to mush. Another cold period comes about and it ices over the top of the mush. Thus, whenever you're walking anywhere:

Step, crack, squish. Step, crack, squish. Etc, etc, etc.

Or, at least, that's what you think!
People always want something that they don't have, or are deprived of. They start to hate what they get too much of.

Example;
Let's say that you're an artist... you start doing commision.
At first, you are like a madman, wanting as many commisions as possible. Then, you start to become known more, as each art gets put into the sigs of people.
Your demand will increase. Eventually you will have so many people begging for your art, that you get sick of it all and want it to be like the early days, when not that many people demanded art from you.

I just would like to see snow, I know its no big deal and i know already everyone hates it. But seeing that seasons never change is pretty dull and boring. Trees dont get orange on autumn and you don't see flowers sprouting around spring. Its just plain green all year. At this time of year we can't go to the beach because they're infested with jellyfish and stuff. We have to wait till spring/summer just like you. At least I can be sure some of you had some variety, I haven't. Just disliking something because its always there, its the same feeling I have. I have never fitted in this 100 mile by 35 mile island anyways.
