[Ace_Price]

"Quickly there is an abandoned cave about half a mile west from here." The men quickly board a helicopter and take off in the direction of the cave, Thank you for your help."

"I'll help round up the rest of the ones in the town," she affirmed as the helicopter took off. The lights from the base cast twisting shadows that shuddered in the wind, making ample hiding spots for the shadow hoppers. Senaka went with her wolf through the winding streets in search of their illusive prey.

The lights turn off so that they can be seen better and the detective recieves a note from Ace "Detective:.....Really? Such a same. I hope she can accept such a thing if it were to happen."

((It is basically a prologue of the war.))

The night passes slowly beneath the waning moon as the Noble and the wolf dart about the city's silent streets. After only a couple of hours they had managed to find and dispose of most of the hunting party.

(Don't worry, I'm prepared. But you can't be in control of my Nobles. You don't know enough about them to know what they would do. ^'^)

((Alright then, we still have to fight the dark shadow thingy.))

After the night was over and the wounded were treated Ace wakes the sleeping girl and smiles "I just got work they found what was kidnapping your people and your father is safe. If you would like you can join us as we go meet him."

Star beams at the General at hearing the good news. She nods in agreement and grabs her satchel before following him out of the room. The winds were calm making passage over the dunes much easier. Akila came into view before the seer thought to wonder how much further the journey would take.

Senaka laid across the sun-warm rooftop near the edge of Ace's temporary base camp. His men were in the process of packing up their equipment while the Noble and her wolf relaxed nearby. Spirits ran high after the success of finding the Shadow Hoppers nests and the retrieval of the abducted, all but three had lived. The three that had not were the first to be taken. Their eggs had hatched and the young had eaten through their abdomens when the team arrived.

As the helicopter lands Ace gets out and helps star out. The men are now leaving with their equipment and salute as Ace walks by "He should be in the infirmary if I am correct." Ace says as the medical sign appears on a few tents that are still up to take care of the injured.

The seer follows Ace as he leads her to the medical tents. As she entered the first flap, she noticed the cots and the many people who occupied them. Scanning the faces of the victims, she noted a few that looked familiar while searching for one in particular. Near the end of the row, she spotted a tuft of white hair and ran the last few paces to stop at the bedside. Her father opened his eyes and looked over at his daughter, a weak smile gracing his lips.

"Star, oh my star. I feared I'd never see you again," he whimpered softly. Holding his hand with both of hers, Star knelt down and comforted her father.

"It's alright father. I'm here," she cooed softly.

Ace steps up to the bed and smiles at the man before him "Hello sir we have removed the threat from your village and destroyed them outside of it as well so these creatures should not be a problem anymore. Unfortunately we will have to remove security from the village, as agreed in the treaty we would defend you from creature attacks, invasions, and war but we will have to go over the treaty again as some things have come up but until then we will be pulling out of the village until further notice."

"Thank you, thank you so much," the old man replied weakly.

"Until my father is well, I shall rule in his stead. If there is anything that needs discussing, I will hear it out," Star announced as she sat at her father's side.

Senaka sat up and yawned from her perch atop the roof, noting how high the sun was getting. The temperatures were steadily climbing, which made napping in direct sunlight let comfortable. Moving to the edge where a low stone ridge lined the walls, the Noble straddled it and looked down at the soldiers that moved about their business.

(For a side note, the roofs of most of Akila's buildings, including the one Senaka is currently on, are two stories high with a two foot ridge that lines the roof. Gardens, or solar panels typically occupy these areas, with ladders on the sides for easy access. yay, random facts. lol)

"Alright then. We will be having a leaders meeting in a couple of weeks unless something comes up. Please prepare the reports. Talk to your father about them as he knows them best and I will talk to you later." Ace says smiling as he and his men walk out the door with the medics and a few guards staying in the city until the injured are healed. A helicopter can be heard outside the city prepping to take Ace back to the city.

"So what evil plot have you got forming in your little head now?" Senaka asked as he hopped down onto the street as Ace passed. Landing in a low crouch, she fluidly rose to stand tall again and walk at his side. Suka jumped down to follow, landing on an awning before bouncing down to the earth.

"Those Shadow Hoppers are pretty common around here, I wonder why they decided to enter such a populated area. Their normal prey are much smaller and they tend to stay away from humans," the Noble wondered idly as she walked. It was an interesting development indeed.

"Evil is only perceived by those who see it so there any plan I have can be good in one sense or evil in another. Also it is about something going on in another country nearby. We are trying to protect our city if something were to happen....unfortunately we cannot protect everyone around us but that is going to be discussed at the meeting if it happens after, hopefully not at all."  

[Foxi Doll]

"So philosophical," she countered mockingly. "I already feel a Machiavellian plot set in motion. Just tell me this. Is it something I should worry about? Because I don't really care if it is only a squabble between you children."

Tilting her head to one side, the Noble brought her long blue braid around and smoothed it down her front. Her gray eyes wandered the mildly busy street ways.

"I will not waste my energy when there are more important things to attend to," she explained in a tone that left for no argument. "The suggested course would be for you to be straight with me now."

Ace sighs and stops walking "Look, it does matter to you but no matter how good of friends we are yo will not like the outcome when it happens so I will hold you in the dark for now but when it happens don't be to mad at us will you?" Ace asks as he starts to board the helicopter "You coming?" Ace asks with a smile.

(Any ideas on how to advance the plot? I don't know how to add your bad guy.))
