Kaura
Kaura patted his back gently for a moment, nodding when he finally gave a name. “Good now Istan. Welcome to Clipped Wings, this will be your home until a new master comes to buy you. We will feed and take care of you, and as long as you don’t disobey there is nothing to fear, do you understand?” She resisted the urge to cover her welts, long, red, and very visible in the less than modest outfit that Cal was forcing her to wear.
She pulled back, placing one hand on his shoulder, and the other under his chin to guide his head up to look her in the eyes. “I have to put you in your cage, you won’t be chained or bound, but magic here won’t work.” She smiled timidly, “I am afraid you missed dinner, but if you are hungry I will find you something to eat, is that alright?”

Kaura
The man started shouting when she mentioned the cage and her eyes went wide for a moment. “Istan!” She said loudly, grabbing him by the shoulders. Something was taunting him, driving him mad. Did he kill someone? So many mental disorders came to mind, but that would have to wait until he calmed down. She took him by the shoulder and looked right into his eyes. “Listen to me, and only me! It doesn’t matter what you did or did not do in the past, it only matters what you do from this moment on. You’re not going into your cage as a punishment; this is just how the shop works. Please, stop crying.”
She took him into another embrace, this one firmer than her last, and stroked his head gently. “Listen to my voice, Istan. As long as you are in this shop only the words of Cal and I matter, and I am telling you to release the past. It does not matter; you are a new man here. Do not listen to what anyone else might say do you understand?”

Istan wascrying so hard now that his shoulders shook. He could feel the elf grab him but he was too wrapped up in the voices to really feel it. He didnt' hear her exclaim his name.
As she looked into his eyes they have a vacant misty look to them, he didn't see her. He didn't hear her.
You're shunned, feared, and hated. The voices taunted pulling him in. He could feel himself giving into their words as they echoed about his mind.
He was on the verge of losing control again, when the elf wrapped him in a firm embrace. He felt it, fully and pushed the, now angry voices away from him. They hissed obscenities in his head cursing him and calling him a killer.
He blinked and his sad, blue eyes lost the misty look. As he pulled further away from the voices he began to hear the elf's words. The voices in his head only vague whispers, now.
He swallowed hard and looked back into the elf's kind eyes. He finally willed himself to stop crying. He knew he wouldn't be able to release the event of his master's death, until he knew if he had actually been the one who did the killing. However, finding something physical that contradicted what the voices told him, gave him the strength to push on.
He shoved the images, that he had woken to that morning, to the back of his mind. Shoving them in a little mental box. He returned the embrace this time before pulling back.
He wiped the tears from his face and looked the elf in the eyes again. His eyes filled with sorrow but, now they held a hint of gratitude. searching for his voice, he found it and spoke. "I understand. But I can't release it until I know the truth." He said calmly and sincerely.
Then he climbed into his cage without a word. He curled his legs up to his chest. The cage didn't bother him, it was never the problem. He was used to much worse. It was the voices that he couldn't take much of. HE was glad that he had pushed them back. Things never went well when they came forward, with vigor.

Kaura
Kaura nodded as he entered his cage, and shut the door behind him. “Well, if you cannot forget, then do not let it torment you. As far as I am concerned whatever happened was not done by this self, so you should not allow it to burden you so.” She frowned and glanced up at the front of the shop, lowering her voice. “But I would suggest you not scream and yell, I do not want you to be punished for disturbing visiting Masters.” She glanced over as another slave addressed him, glad that he would have some company, at least.
She turned away, flashing him and Ryo a quick smile before going to the front of the sotre to greet the new master and the young slave he was leading. “Good day to you both.” She said, giving them wide smiles. “My name is Kaura, how may I assist you today?”
