She kissed the dogs head and rub his back, memories of her and her dog rover poping in her mind. "whats your fav animal?" She looked at damon curious at what he would say.The dog bark and she rub him again smiling and the dog licked her hand.

"My favorite animal?"He said repeating her question.he had never thought about it before.he took a few seconds before nodding."Sharks are pretty cool."He said smiling.he honestly thought they were he had seen plenty of sharks and knew quite a bit about them especially their appetite.he had been attacked by one once and nearly lost his leg.but she didnt need to hear about it.

She smiled and her eyes sparkled. "cool." She played with her hair and looked out the window feeling strange in a way.she place her hand on his but didnt look at him.She started to remeber when she was a kid her mom always said to keep a lookout when it comes to boys.

Damon smiled and didnt look at her either since he was driving,numerous thoughts were racing through his head but he remained relatively quiet about them.he took his hand away and touched his leg where the shark bit him then shook it off.it was nothing he placed his hand back on hers and drove silently.the crunching of the other vehicles as he drove over them crushing their windows.

She looked at him. "hey is there something wrong cause if there is you know you can tell me." She nodded agreeing with herself, and looked back out the window seeing it was getting dark again and the stars were out already and she smiled at that.

"Nothing,its just a grim reminder."Damon said in reply and pulled over taking out a rope and tied it to the dog's collar."Pee break."Damon said as he stepped out of the car letting the dog go about doing its business.Damon waited around looking up at the moon.tonight it was full which was good,it meant more light to travel by The dog walked up to him licking his hand pulling him from his thoughts."All done boy?"The dog barked."Great."He put the dog back in the car and it sat on the driver's seat.Damon wandered off to the treeline and used the restroom."hm."

She turned her back from the window and stared at her hands that still had the scars she have gotten in juvie but she knew she couldnt say anything till she knew he wouldnt freak.She looked at the dog and smiled and the dog barked at her smiling its dog smile.

Damon used some hand sanitizer to clean his hands up and walked back to the car after making sure he was ready."Kepp'em clean."he said tossing her the bottle of hand sanitizer.he buckled in and started the car after pushing the dog onto wolfie's lap."stay."he said patting the dog's head and started up the car's engine and drove down the highway."We're getting quite close to the GTA."

"alright cool" She put her gloves on and layed her head back on the seat starin straight ahead hoping that they dont run into more zombies. She messed with her hair fixing it so it kept down. She rub her arms kinda cold and looked at the dog who barked at her happily.

Richie was walking next to Maryse, holding the barrell of the gun by the end to use it as a crutch. Suddenly, there was a bang and a heat on Richie's hand, his ears deaf briefly. When he regained his hearing a minute or so later, he picked up his M4.

"Heh heh, I probably should turn the safety on," Richie said, flipping the safety switch and resuming his course to the convoy, embarrassed but happy his hand wasn't hit.

Maryse winced when she heard the deafening bang of a rifle going off. She drew her Beretta and looked over at Richie, who smiled sheepishly. "I probably should turn the safety on," he said, turning the safety on immediately afterward. Maryse rolled her eyes and holstered her Beretta again.

"Oui," she said, "You probably should." She didn't want the soldiers in the convoy thinking they meant them harm.

A moment later, the two of them had reached the road. Richie walked up to Greg, holding his fist out for a pound.

"Glad to see you made it," Richie said to Greg, then looked at his leg, "How's that doin'? It feel any better?"

While Richie greeted Greg, Maryse approached the soldiers. "Hello," she said, although she hardly pronounced the h. Her first language was French, not English, so she had a tendency to drop her h's. "We were hoping we could ride into the GTA with you gentlemen," she continued. She'd thought about seducing them, but decided against it. She was too tired, too dirty, to stinky to seduce anyone right now. She'd earn their trust the old-fashioned way.

The soldiers spoke amongst themselves for a moment. Finally, one of them said to her, "That's fine. We were just getting ready to pack up and move out."

"That's great," she replied. She turned to Richie and relayed this information to him.

Damon smiled."Reach in my pack i got a jacket in there if you need it.I certainly dont I'm immune to the cold."He lookoed at the road purposely turning several zombies into pulp with the car's wheels and grinned."Heh heh"he said to himself."zombie road kill baby squish squish squash squash."He said with a smile as he drove leisurely.he had one thing on his mind and that was getting to the GTA in one piece.he called out over the frequencies."Hey any of you GTA people out there?"

"Cool beans," Richie said, limping heavily over to the back of the truck, then turned his head and looked at Maryse.

"Ya comin' or what?" He said in a teasing voice as two soldiers hlepd Richie, then Greg into the back of the truck. Richie held out his hand to her, waiting for her to take it so she could get in the truck easier, "Maybe they gotta shower and some fresh, warm clothes at GTA."

Maryse smiled. She took Richie's hand and hopped up into the truck, then took a seat beside him. A moment later, the truck began to move. They'd be inside the walls in a matter of minutes. What happened then was anybody's guess, but Maryse was certain that it couldn't get any worse than it was out here.
