Rue looked up at the sky. "That's a very good question. I suppose you could have an answer." He looked into the fire as if recalling everything. "I orignally came from a place called earth. I have no memory of it, though. I was pulled through a demensional void to a land I later found out was called Ithranna. I was found by a kingdom of Ithranna, Roil, and put into a knight academy where I graduated into the king's private army. I met the princess, Julia, and we bonded. I did many terrible deeds for the king that I regret even to this day. My final mission from him was to kill a dragon who had done nothing but help a neighboring kingdom. I went and found that it was already dying. It told me that I needed to atone and those I had killed needlessly were going to destroy me shouuld I not change. The dragon died and it's baby was Silver, a friend I would have forever....or at least I thought. I hid away from the King and Julia helping the neighboring kingdom build it's army. Now remember at this time I was about 14. Anyway, I waged war on the king and overthrew him leaving the kingdom to Julia. I went away for the memories still haunted me and became a theif. I traveled across Ithranna in search of the best steals until I came upon the caslte Kar-Ryu. That's where the Dragon Knights of Ithranna lived. The dragon knights were a band of mostly teenagers who were chosen to wield a sacred power. They were sworn to destroy an evil demon known as Diran. I went to steal a very valiuable metal and met with the Cheiftain of the knights. After a small fight, she told me what I was. Who Silver was. What we had to do. I never really respected her, though now I miss her greatly. At any rate, I bonded fast with my new comrades as the Dragon Knight of Trace. Things were great and our power were great. We went on a mission to a place called Tharrah, to sign a treaty to keep Diran out of there at all costs, but were ambushed and seperated. Evil grew and grew in Ithranna. Three power evil forces all struck at once. The land was tarnished and the knights were picked off one by one...I changed sides to destroy the Cheiftain. Along with me was Silver and my...Hoshi...She was another knight....but the evil I joined was Gilgamish. He sent me to kill the Cheiftain, but I realized what I was doing and came back and took his life instead. Then something unexpected happened. Gilgamish had power of changing demensions. With his loss the demensions void was left unclosed, not what destroid Ithranna, but what made me dissappear. I'm sure the knights believe I was killed, but I'm here in an alternate world, unknowing where my friends and comrades are."
He sighed. "So that is my story. I don't believe i left anything out." He looked back up at Reiko.

Hoshi tilted her head to the side and stared at the little dragon that was in her grasp for a moment. "Oh, he's fine.. I think he just was exhausted, though.." she shook her head and smiled, once again turning to Jager.
She opened her mouth to speak, but what came out instead was a gasp. A pang of familiarity had hit her and it was building in her chest. She pulled her cloak close to her, involuntarily, and forced herself to ignore the oh-so-familiar feeling.
"Oh, yeah... ANYWAYS!" She laughed nervously, and her dragon shot her a quick glare. She shrugged at him and gave him a look, and the dragon suddenly understood.
"Well... Jager, I was going to ask you if you cared to tell me specifically what happened... But I think it'd be better if we got you to town to rest for now, you and Valk can fill me in later." She smiled at her friend apologetically.

Topaz and Mel stumbled into the lake's area once some time later. There were blood stains on her tunic. She managed to make it to a large patch of grass and laid down, to relax, slinging her items out of her way. Mel curled up in her side, eyes streaming. Topaz's eyes were dry, her face was cold and unexpressionless. She didn't make a sound as she closed her eyes and slept. She awoke moment later to Mel's chocking sounding crying, and she didn't get back to sleep.
Eventually, she sat next to Emelin by the pool. Then she began to sing, and old elvish lament of the dead of the loved one. She dared not repeat it in the elvish tongue, for serious reasons, but it helped her all the same.
"Butterflys, colored with snow,
Fly together over my seas,
Beautiful white butterfly, when can I,
Take that blue road in the sky?
Do you know, oh beautiful of beautifuls,
My Indian dancing girl with eyes of black,
If they could give their wings to me,
Say, do you know where I would go?
Without taking a single kiss from a rose,
Across valleys and forests,
I would go to your lips almost closed,
With a last breath, and I would die."
She shuddered and hummed the tune to herself again, slow, mournful.
"It was his favorite song. I don't know why. But I'll sing it forever in my heart," she whispered.

Saphira_lights Neo crouched silently beside one of the demon's bodies, trying to think of a way to bypass his own regeneration, he wouldn't bring the demon back to life but it would be a useful tool for other people. He knew that bringing new life was possible with strange things such as nanogenes, he had even heard a tale of another time lord giving up his own lives to save another race. But both involved technology he didn't have. The alien sighed and stood, running a hand through his blond hair almost angrily. "Neo!" Neo turned and frowned, watching as Tharazzi flew up the beach towards him. "Hello." He smiled, landing neatly beside the future knight of time and tilting his head slightly to one side, like he wanted a reply to an unasked question. "I haven't purposefully stolen her magic." Neo sighed, sitting again, holding his knees to his chest and staring out at the sea. "I never said you had." Tharazzi muttered, he placed his head on his paws and joined Neo. "Where do you come from?" Neo asked, pausing for a few seconds then continuing. "I mean, what town?" "I..don't know." The dragon frowned. "Somewhere. Fire comes from a small village high in a group of mountains, i never really thought to ask." Neo nodded sadly. "You should smile more. What's the worse that could happen?" Tharazzi asked cheerfully. "The creatures that blew up my planet could come here and not only kill me, but destroy this planet as well. Then they would be unstoppable. I'm not saying that i am the only one that can kill them, but i know their weaknesses better than they do." He stopped and smiled weakly. "But that isn't the worse that could happen." He paused again. "They could kill Fire and keep you alive." Tharazzi began to growl, although not at what Neo had said, he was looking up now, at a shadowy figure descending on them, almost blocking out the sun from its sheer size. "What is it?" Neo asked, standing and sheilding his face from the strength of its wing beats. "Another dragon..."
"Is that possible?" Neo said, he was almost shouting and quickly moved out of the way of the large creature as it landed on the beach beside the two.
"Of course its possible." Tharazzi darted towards the future knight of time. "Do you think that the only dragons that exist are the ones that have bonded with a knight." The dragon sighed and watched as a large golden dragon appeared beside them.
"You are not from around here." Tharazzi said in the dragon language, looking up at the golden creature. It tilted its long, snaking neck towards Tharazzi and seemed to smile, then it shook its head and laid down so that its head was on its paws.
"No, but neither are you." It said suddenly, in clear English. "Ithranna i think." |

"How do you know where i am from?" Tharazzi asked, taking a few short steps backwards, his black wings unfolding slightly as if he would suddenly fly off and leave Neo with the strange dragon.
"I am Janoch." The dragon said suddenly, breaking into a strange smile. "I know, little dragon, because i am smart."
"I am Tharazzi, dragon of fire. Somewhere around here is my knight, Fi-Gwyneth." Tharazzi said, moving back towards Neo. "This is Neo, he will be the future knight of Time here in Jal'Rusai."
"Will i?" Neo frowned causing Janoch to turn to the alien, he had an almost sad look on his handsome golden face.
"I am a dragon of time." He said softly, staring at Neo with one of his giant, dark eyes.
"Where is your knight?" Tharazzi asked.
"She died a long time ago." Janoch sighed, rustling his large golden wings slightly and flicking his tail.
"I'm sorry." Tharazzi said quietly, Neo said nothing, he seemed to be in shock from finding out about the dragon in front of him and that the dragon was a dragon of time.
"Why are you here?" Neo asked suddenly angrily. |
