Damon smirked and curtiously gave the girl the middle finger and turned to walk back down the street. If she was anything like he expected she was she'd try to kick his a**.then he would threaten her.then it would be over.he had every possible scenairo planned out but he didn't care either way what happened.he continued down the road the hospital being at one end and all he had on his mind was what would happen to wolfie if something happened to him would she be charged as an accomplice and put in jail or would she be left alone.he shrugged and stretched.

Maryse regretted hitting Richie the moment she did it. He lost his balance and fell to the floor. The words 'I'm sorry' immediately leaped into Maryse's mind, but she didn't say them. She couldn't say them. She'd always had a problem with apologizing. She'd always had a problem with admitting that she was wrong. It was a matter of pride, or something of the sort. So she stood there. She stood there and let Richie help himself up. She stood there and watched.

"What the hell!" he said, "I didn't mean leave the GTA! I meant here, this spot. And just ignore this guy. You think I'd prefer out there to in here?" He couldn't get up without applying pressure to his injured leg. He screamed in pain. Maryse winced at the sound.

Just then, a bystander spoke up. "Excuse me, ma'am, for the intrusion, but that's depending on what you fear more: what remains of a corrupt government trying to control your life or zombies attempting to kill you." He turned to face them, smiled. "To me, this place is more dangerous than the place I just left, but we can't all be hating-government types. I find that the military is too controlling here. They made me turn over my guns, which upsets me somewhat, but if you enjoy having a somewhat paranoid miniature government control you, then okay. But if not, I don't know what to say."

Maryse rolled her eyes. "Idiot," she said under her breath, "I'd take my chances with other people than with zombies, any day." With that, she turned to Jean-Mark. "D'accord, Jean-Mark," she said, "D'évaluez notre situation. Évaluez la situation d'une femme et un garçon qui peut à peine se tenir sur ses deux pieds."

She grinned slyly. She was sure he'd find them unsuitable for most jobs.

Jean-Mark jawned, still groggy from waking up, he switched back to english so Richie, if he didn't know french, would understand. "If you two will please come with me, I will take you to the survivor's embassy, get you your papers, then find out where to give you two lodgings."

Maryse sighed. Clearly there was no winning with this guy. She resented him for thinking that she didn't want to work because she was lazy. It wasn't working, but working against her will that she had a problem with. She hated doing anything against her will, but she'd been expecting this ever since she set out for this safe zone, and so she was prepared for it. In a way, she'd been prepared for it ever since she'd moved in with her uncle.

And these people weren't likely to make her take a bath in ice water.

"Alright, Jean-Mark," she said, "Lead the way."

Jean-Mark nodded and opened the back doors to the Range-Rover and then his own. He slid into the driver's seat door and closed his door. Jean-Mark scratched his cheek as he waited for the others to get in.

Hopefully all went as usual...

Richie hobbled to the rear car door, getting in and sliding over for Maryse, trying not to hurt his leg.

"Hey, pal. You think I can see soembody about getting a cast on this thing? Apparently the doc's at the initiation didn't think it was deserving of a cast right away, and it hurts like hell," Richie said, taking off his bag and setting it in the middle of the seat.

Seeing that the guy wasn't going to spread Adam's guts all over the ground, he holstered his pistol, and shook Chris' hand. HE didn't even make the assumption they were related, as his mother was from Scotland and his dad was an only child. "Well," he said. "I'm glad to finally met someone out here.".

After shaking Chris' hand, Adam picked up his pipe and positioned it like a walking stick again. "You wouldn't happen to know if there is any medical supplies in this hospital, do you?" he asked. Adam forgot to bring any from the old hideout in Port. Toronto was only a hour and a half drive from Port, so he thought he could find some here.

"Nope, I don't think there are medical supplies in a hospital," Chris said sarcastically, then laughed, "haha, to tell ya the truth, I haven't even been upstairs yet. I just found a room that was hard to get into, grabbed some food from the cafeteria, and have been hiding in the room for a few days now. I only come out when i hear a zombie. I kill it and run back inside before any more can figure out where I am. I was too afraid to explore the rest of the hospital on my own. But, since you're here, I have someone to watch my back, and vice versa. So, what d'ya say? Partners?"

Maryse slipped into the back seat beside Richie and shut the door behind her. "Hey, pal," Richie said, "You think I can see somebody about getting a cast on this thing? Apparently the docs at the initiation didn't think it was deserving of a cast right away, and it hurts like hell."

She chuckled. "You'll be lucky if it ever heals properly," she said. She didn't mean to sound callous, but it came out that way. She immediately looked away.

Adam would have called Chris a coward, or an even worse word that ment the same thing, but he didn't come from a zombie nest like Adam's town, so he had a right t be scared. "Parteners." Adam said. Adam turned around and looked at Chris. "I have a spare twelve gauge in the van, along with some empty beer bottles. If you got the gas and ammo, we could probably clear the entire hospital and burn the areas that are too over-run with zombies." he said as he started for the doors.

They had to be careful with the molotovs if Chris agreed to use them. To many of them, and the hospital could collapse because pf structural damage because of the fire.

"Nah, man. Them molotov's will set this whole place up. And I just barely got enough ammo to kill forty five of em with one head shot each. I have a better idea," Chris said. He flipped the gun's safety to'on' and flipped it in the air, catching it barrel first, holding it like a club, "Who's ready for zome Zombie Tippin'?"

Adam got what Chris was saying. He hadn't brained any zombies since the first sign of outbreak in Port. His lead pipe had seen more action that day more that day then anything. Turning around from the doors, and taking his hand off of them, he faced Chris. "Only if I get first dibs." Adam said. He tossed the pipe up in the air, just far enough for him to grab three quarters down the shaft with his right hand, and placing his left hand just slight above it.

"It's time to smash a few rotting skulls." he said, as he started towards the fire escape. He was thinking electricity might be down, like in Port, and the alarm wouldn't go off. He also thought the elevators might be down.

Jean-Mark pulled a pair of aged sunglasses from the glove compartment and put them on before he turned the key in the ignition and started the engine. He looked back at Richie, "Don't worry about the leg my friend, we'll get that looked at as soon as we arrive at the embassy." Jean-Mark hit the gas and pulled the Range-Rover out of the street near the blockade and out onto a larger street to head towards the embassy.

Jean-Mark pulled the Range-Rover up beside a large building with lots of people coming in and out of it and hopped out of the truck. Jean-Mark pulled out his wallet and flashed a badge showing he was an embassy member so the guards would let Richie, Maryse and him through. Jean-Mark walked them past a few queue lines and into a room in the back, he grabbed several folders and sat down, waiting for them to do the same.

Richie hobbled towards the embassy after nearly falling ot of the car and flat on his face. He followed Jean-Mark through the building until they came into a room where Jean-Mark sat down, setting some folders on the table. Richie sat down in one of the two chairs on the opposite side of the table from Jean-Mark.

"So, what exactly is it you want from us?" Richie said, a little bit annoyed at the whole situation he and Maryse were in.

Jean-Mark shrugged, laying the folders out, "I need to put together a file on you two, so I that I can push your papers through to get you both lodgings, accredited citizenship within the safe zone, health care papers, the like." Jean-Mark opened up a folder labeled "Community Zones" and slid it across the table, "This has information on several "Communities" we have set up where "Safe" zones used to be." Jean-Mark looked through the folders then slid two over to them, one labeled "Citizenship" and the other labeled "Health Care" He looked at Richie, "you should file the Health one first, it will allow you to get special care for your leg, besides a medic bracing it and disinfecting any wounds on it."

"Sounds...interesting. At least we get to pick the ghetto we live in. How many Nazi guards you got around here? Do we work 20 hour days? It sure seems like a prison camp to me. But I ain't complining about anything except one thing. What is this citizenship thing? Does that take away my statues as an American and change it to a Canadiac?" Richie said in a mocking and sarcastic tone, "Where do I find the health care people?"

Chris followed Adam to the fire escape.

"Yeah, this here is probably our best bet. The elevators are probably down, and I alwasy considered them death traps anyways. You first, I gotcha back," Chri said, holding his rifle liek a club as he stood behind Adam by one of the fire escape stairwell doors.
