i could use some help on something i'm writing for school....I just need a lifestyle of now that i can compare and contrast to that of a ferryman, merchant, or Samanans.. I can't think of any that would work so maybe you guys might know..anywho reply back asap if anyone has any ideas

Also in case anyone may of read the book, it's called Siddhartha by Herman Hesse

I don't know of a current lifestyle that really compares...? the point is to find yourself, and fullfill your dharma, regardless of what you do?

there's so many way cooler things to discuss about that book, too.

i completely agree. i would write a paper on how the assignment is pointless and you should spend your time analyzing buddhism and how it connects to life in general, and how that book can be a teaching tool for all of us through daily life.

you wanna know something funny my english teachers is buddism or however you spell it.. aslo see last post for the topics i have to do.

I'm also glad that Tashi is supporting me all the way, my parents and her parents and some others, don't support the fact that I'm gay, which is really disappointing. They were mad when me and my girlfriend broke-up and then I went out with a guy.

well that sux, hmm i think its fine that your gay i haven't read all of this convo but i'm just saying it's cool, i mean if your really into it and it makes you happy then do it....

well i'm bi. i came out and had a girlfriend sophomore year and i got a lot of crap for it. some kid even spat on me at school. my parents were ok with it, though, so i don't know how that feels. it must be hard. ...but it's good that you're not letting that stop you. we all have a right to live the way we choose, and no one can tell me i can't love someone because of the their gender.
