Smiling through John's practical demonstration of his power, it was a beautiful bit of magic... Orange eyes only flickering to Ryugi's little shadow for a moment before she hopped off her stool and brushed John's hair out of his eyes as he nearly collapsed from his use of the rune magic. "Silly..." She leaned in to lightly touch her lips to his forehead, flooding the big man with energy once more before she moved to fill her tea cup again, humming softly under her breath as she filled Maximos' as well.

Her head empty again form the remembered mind clearing chant, even as her tea cup was full, she sat back down on her shadow-stool... shields sliding across her mind to keep out the mish-mash of emotions that were filling the room.

It was something like watching the sunrise, and then it suddenly goes supernova. Or maybe even, boiling some water in your kitchen and then it bursts into roiling flames blackening your nose, filling your lungs with ash and stinging your eyes.

Max watched Tomorrow's display and was something more than impressed. To his knowledge, even Lunaic could not turn empty air into a rose. That was trans-elemental, trans-formational, an well he wasnt even sure how possible it was. But then, Raven did things exactly like that. The idea of Tomorrow with Raven's powers was somewhat frightening. He would have commented, infact he was about to open his mouth and reply...

And the Damion exploded. Maximos didnt know Tilly, though he had learned her name from Ryudo. He was going to great her after he commented on John's display. He was, going to do alot of things. But then Damion exploded.

Not literally of course, but Maximos could see the other man's emotions bleeding out and across like a roaring flame. What could turn a beast of a man, who dealt with his wild side so frequently into that, at the sight of that. Tilly didnt seem malicious or predatory, that meant the problem must come from Damion's more human side. That meant he and Tilly...

"Ooooooh." Was all Maximos said. And like most explosions, after the boom, he...and it seemed the room, fell into silence.

Oh she saw Damion, it made her otherwise all around good feeling sink to the pit of her stomach, though she feigned her well known smile still. And what with not receiving a single hello from anyone in the room, Tilly was starting to have second thoughts of visiting, even if it was for the baby's sake. Looking away and down, Tilly quietly picked up the small, gift wrapped box that she had just set down as to distract herself from the overwhelming awkwardness in the room. It was hard enough for the muse to talk to people, let alone a group. Plus with Damion here, she didn't want to make anything sad.

With that, Tilly eyed a chair a little further away from the group and decided to sit there for the time being, and with a shy sigh, she did so until anyone decided to address her.

She was used to being a wallflower.

However the silence would be broken by a rather quiet sound. It was the sound of an opening door. As eyes turned to look, Ryugi would walk through the doorway with a big grin on his face, followed by a very tired, but also smiling Vargus Kobayashi. In her arms, cradled in a series of soft blankets, was a little tiny body, sleeping quietly and peacefully. Vargus stood in front of Ryugi, smiling as bright as could be as she spoke.

Thank you all so much for being here... I'd like you all to meet the reason you're here, Ryumi Kazamaru...our daughter.

As Vargus finished, the little baby girl opened her big red eyes and glanced around at everyone, an infinitely curious look across her newborn features. Ryugi spoke next. Right now she has no middle name. As some of you may or may not know, my middle name is Arlian, after my father. Ryudo's middle name, Noctus, is due to his strong connection to the shadow element. Not all dragons have middle names, but in my family, they are given to reflect a quality seen, or to bring good fortune. Ryugi looked to Vargus and the new mommy spoke, looking to Maximos.

Ryugi and I have talked about this for a long time, Max. You've been a near and dear friend to us for a long time, and since you're her Godfather...well...we thought it appropriate if you gave her a middle name. The Kazamarus had talked about it for weeks. Ryugi had wanted to give her a name after his friend Kara, but the name simply didn't sound right. Vargus had liked the middle name Aurella, after her great great grandmother, a gold drake who'd been among the first to serve on the council. Ryugi, however, was the one who decided to ask Max. It was a great honor, after all. And there was no one better that they could imagine than Maximos.

Antique Queen
She was used to being a wallflower.

"Hello."

Tilly would look up to see Tomrrow, massive like a mountain, so big he almost plunged her into darkness as he blocked out the light from the window....holding out a small cup of steaming tea for the girl with an inviting smile.

Hono'o's little kiss had given him the boost to rise to his feet again - he would do the rest on his own, but he definately needed another cup of this delicious tea Ryudo had made, and as he had crouched down before the table to pour himself another cup, Raven beating him to refilling Maximos' or her own, he noticed the only person who didn't have a cup was the new arrival.

And she looked like she needed one.

"My name's John - have I met you before?" He asked curiously, narrowing his eyes and cocking his head slightly to the left as he tried to figure out where he had seen her face -

Before Ryugi spoke up, revealing the newborn to the world, cradled in her mother's arms.

John's head snapped up like a wolf that had spotted prey, his azure eyes wide and full of excitement. Babies.

He loved babies.

If he bothered to ever look up anything about who he was supposed to be, he would find out that the Norse God of Thunder - aside from being a god of thunder, lightening, strength, destruction and for some reason oak trees - was also a god of fertility. After all, after a good storm the landscapes tended to drink in the rainwater and become more lush - so he felt a natural affinity towards children and babies,

He looked down to Tilly with those excitedly eyes, which seemed to protray the message of i'm sorry, but BABIES! and proceeded to make his way towards Vargus with the intent purposes of hovering over her. "I want to see, let me see!"

Ok, so dragons did have live births. Even the rising tide of anxiety wasn't strong enough to suppress his desire to know, and this became filed away in the depths of his brain for possible later use. Focusing on the baby made it easier to not look over at Tilly just yet, the rush of emotions still wild and difficult to comprehend. Tomorrow blocked his line of sight when he went forward but by that time Damion had seen and heard all he needed to about the otherwise mysterious dragon culture. And now he knew who this other person was aswell, letting his mind and eyes shift towards Ryudo as his forebrain functions began to gear up and stifle the rush of feelings.

" Ryugi...Ryudo....Ryumi."

There was a pattern there and the Hydra wondered if perhaps the sound Ry- perhaps meant something in the draconic language.

" She's beautiful Ryugi."

Now his voice came stronger, sounding abit more like his old self and without the stumble tongued efforts of a child. He didn't really mean it, the elemental didn't care much for children beyond their use as distractions, but he knew it was the thing to be said. Her eyes were beautiful enough for him to say it without really lying. Damion liked red.

" Isn't she, Tilly?"

He hesitated before saying her name, a slight pause, but the smile he shot her was not diminished by fear.

Raven smiled and even chuckled softly as the new parents put Maxi on the spot with their version of the name game... she couldn't have thought of a better prank if she had planned it, although she was quite certain that Maximos would manage to come up with something fitting in just a few moments. 4laugh

Maximos was sipping tea.

And by sipping tea, we mean to say that the cup rest in his hands, he had blown on it sufficiently to make it drinkable, and he was bring it eagerly to his lips.

Vargus was speaking, and the Shadow wondered if somewhere between the new guest and the show of magic before that he had been blinded to the moment in which the little creature in her arms came enter to the world. He was smiling, bright as could be, but there was something deeper than passing joy in his eyes. These were a beings first moments in the world, and the feeling was very very odd to Maximos. Understandably perhaps because he was an agent of Death, he spent most of his time present at a beings last moments. He wasnt quite sure what to do or to say, inwardly he was almost apprehensive. As if, if he touched or interacted with the little girl now, there might be some sort of explosive paradox.

Thankfully, Ryugi spoke and knowing the dragon that could take a while and perhaps give him time to gather himself properly. So instead of worrying, Maximos decided to sip his tea. He sipped it, and it was delicious, he smiled back at the new mother as she looked at him, never once considering there was a reason her eyes were on him specifically until she said.

"Ryugi and I have talked about this for a long time, Max. You've been a near and dear friend to us for a long time, and since you're her Godfather...well...we thought it appropriate if you gave her a middle name. You've been a near and dear friend to us for a long time, and since you're her Godfather...well...we thought it appropriate if you gave her a middle name."

That just wasnt fair!

Ryugi was a good father! Vargus was very clearly a kind and good mother! They were supposed to love their child! How could they do something so terrible to her?!

Maximos eyes snapped open as wide as they could, the tea held comfortably in frozen still hands fell, and just barely did he manage to catch it and clumsily fumble it between his hands before somehow getting it onto the table without spilling it all. And then he said, "Um."

Um! Maximos never said 'Um!' He said things that sounded akin to it, but never that! To say Um, was to show that you had absolutely no idea what to say! To immediately correct the situation Maximos took a sharp breath in, stood up out of his seat and gestured to young couple, and daughter and said, "Um..."

Perhaps they did not understand. Why presented with naming a gigantic floating island filled with shadows, Maximos named it Shadow Island. When required to name a sword born of darkness, madness, and the shadowy essence of his bygone lover, he named it the Dark Sword. When a mysterious and unknown elven girl appeared in his house knowing nothing of her past, he named her Mystery Girl, in elven. As far as Maximos knew and believed, he was perhaps the absolute worst namer of things in all of space and time. What was he going to name her? Baby dragon?

He approached, eyes still filled with surprise, darting back and forth between both dragons and their child. Tomorrow's presence was a gift, it bought him precious moments to gather himself, and some actual words. By the time he reached the Aesir, he laid a hand on the man's arm so as to show he was stepping beside him. He smiled very wide, then looked at Vargus first and foremost and said.

"She really is beautiful. I think she even has your hair." It was important for him to address Vargus first for one simple reason, which came to him the moment before he actually spoke. "You'll have to pardon my rudeness in not offering a handshake or other gesture but, I...dont believe we've actually had the pleasure of meeting before now."

Mismatched eyes moved to Ryugi, and he smiled. "Ryugi talks about you very much, it almost feels as if we have but..."

His glance shifted back to Vargus. "...well, its a pleasure to meet you M..."

Was it Ms? Mrs? Lady? Was it Kazamaru or Kobayashi? Was there a wedding here too that he missed? He had no idea! Instead Max stopped himself and just said, "Vargus. A pleasure and an honor."

He let the greeting sit for a moment, his eyes lowering down to the little girl tucked safely in her arms. He smiled at her, waved a few fingers in tiny gesture. It felt odd to say her name when he was being asked to help complete her name...the memory of that pulled the corners of his mouth down into a worried sort of frown, his eyes moving back and forth between the new parents. "Now, are you two absolutely sure about this? Perhaps there is some sort of rite or ceremony that can be performed to fix this if I mess it up?"

Vargus smiled and Ryugi chuckled. It's a pleasure, Maximos. Ryugi could only grin as the others admired his daughter. he couldn't get over how tiny her fingers were. Especially when she blinked and tenderly reached out to try and grasp Max's wiggling fingers. Vargus simply played mother and watched carefully as Ryugi spoke up. Max, don't be silly. Think of something that means a lot to you. Maybe something or someone that means or meant a great deal to you. As long as it is something meaningful, something that comes from your heart, I'm sure that it will be a lovely name.

At this point, Vargus spoke up. Now, love, don't put him on the spot so much. She looked to Max and smiled. I know we're terrible to drop this on you... But, we wanted it to be something special. So, don't feel like you have to give it right now. We still have all night. You're a very intelligent and caring man, so Ryugi has told me. I'm certain you'll choose a fine name.

By now, little Ryumi was glancing around at all the people with her pinky-red eyes, but despite her apparent interest, she still seemed quite keen on reaching those wiggling fingers.

"We've had the pleasure of meeting once before, Mister Tomorrow."

With her neck craned all the way up, Tilly smiled warmly at the giant before standing as well. It made up for a severely small fraction of height.

"Unfortunately I was in a tizzy that day. I stormed away." She curtsied graciously. "Tilly Pace."

Before saying anything more, Vargus stepped out, instantly hushing the muse. There was something about the aura the new mother exuded, it was peaceful, calm. And the newborn? Gorgeous.

"She's beautiful."

She quietly responded to Damion. Her smiled thinned ever so lightly. She realized that the child was more precious than anything she could even dream of creating.

Max listened to both the Dragon's, but there was something about Ryumi's little fingers reaching up for his hand that he could not resist. Babies did that all the time, he knew that, it should have been simple fact with no real enduring meaning behind it. But there was something to it. His fingers, this child. Pure as can be, reaching out to something as tragic and blood stained as Maximos perceived his hands. And yet, something in her subtle action seemed to almost vindicate them.

"Her...hands...they're so tiny." Maximos said, slowly, almost as if it was slowly dawning on him despite its obvious nature. He didnt plan on giving them to her, and then...he did. He lowered his hands just enough so that she could reach them, hoping that baby dragons didnt come with rows of baby dragon teeth that wanted fresh bleeding meat. It seemed unlikely.

They were just so small, so tiny. He even found himself leaning over to Tomorrow and saying, "Do you see these John? Her hands...so small..."

"Her...hands...they're so tiny. Do you see these John? Her hands...so small..."

"Aye Max...I see them."

The giant's voice, normally booming and thunderous, was wistful and soft as he placed his metallic hand on Maximos' shoulder as he leaned over him, looking down to the newborn dragon with a small, sad smile. "...Its very unique, this thing before you, Max...at this moment, in this instance, it is capable of literally anything....all it needs is the right conditions to grow, the right environment, and it can become something wonderful...."

John reached out tentatively with a single raised thumb, his right hand looming over the child's head as he gently brushed his thumb over her soft forehead. "...An empty vessel....brimming with potential...ready to absorb all around it...ready to take on the world." He stroked the finger over the baby's forehead once more, feeling the smooth, fresh skin beneath his thick, rough skin. "...Hello Ryumi...my name is John. You have a fantastic future ahead of you - i can tell...I hope I will be around to see you realize it."

His sigh was a little shaky as he took his right hand away, patting Maximos' shoulder again with his left, cold, steel hand, trying to reassure his dark brother as he squeezed it. "....Don't be afraid of what Ryugi has asked of you. They asked you for the name because they trust and love you, and they know that, no matter what you give her, it will be right for her. There is no wrong answer."

The Aesir's jaw tightened for a moment, before his smile spread over his face, broad and cheeky once more, only a hint of shine in his eyes. "...As long as you don't call her 'baby', or 'dragon girl', or something, it is her only possession at the moment, aside from those cute little cheeks....I think it should be something close to your heart, Maxi. She is your goddaughter, after all..."

Knowing Maxi's past as intricately as John did, he knew a name that would be perfect for little Ryumi....it even sounded right, once you added it in between the Ryumi and the Kazamaru. But it was Maximos duty to give the little girl her name...and, to be honest, perhaps Maximos would not weild the name John was thinking of so lightly, even in a moment like this...

Little Ryumi seemed to brighten when her tiny fingers grasped hold of Max's, one finger in each little hand. As she made contact with the shadow's fingers, she smiled and proceeded to move them back and forth before looking up into his mismatched eyes with her own pink-tinted red. They blinked a few times, but didn't leave his eyes until a large thumb started stroking her forehead, at which point her eyes closed until John spoke to her.

Oddly enough, as she looked at the two men, they'd get a feeling that, despite having just been born, it was fairly apparent that the little girl actually understood what they were saying, even if she wasn't speaking a word herself, and as John spoke of her cheeks, the little girl smiled and poked her cheeks with her fingers, as if showing that she understood the compliment, and was pleased.

However, as the big man finished, the little girl turned her eyes once more to Maximos, as if waiting for something to happen.

Saren arrived at the Ironworks and looked around. He was looking for someone to upgrade his sword as it was slowly losing its strenght that it used to have. Saren sighed as he walked down the corridor and looked at the forge that was at work. So this is where people come to get their weapons. He stopped as he looked at the forge and the watched the person work. So metal working is something that these people do a lot. But the gods never needed such a thing. So he had no idea what kind of metal they used.

Saren began to walk towards the area where the store was located. He entered the main shop and looked around at the swords. So this was where humans got their swords from. Well that is even more interesting. He never knew that humans could create such weapons. But then again this could be simply their weapons that they where able to wield in general . Saren sighed as he looked at every single weapon the shop offered. Wondering if any of them would be better than his current weapon. But he doubted that. Nothing could be better than a sword made by the gods could it ?.

He turned his attention to the swords away from the counter and sighed. He wished he could wield one of them to try them out. But he knew he could not do that without someone here to get him the sword. Saren sighed and banged his hand on the counter softly although it sounded loud to him.

" Can someone please help me find a sword please or fix my current one. I heard this place is one of the best in the land. Anyone here ? " Saren asked in a calm voice as he looked around hopeing someone would come to him and help him out

The man would find that the shop was actually closed today. However, it was possible that he could return at a later date. Perhaps when the Forgemaster and his wife were not entertaining company over the birth of their new daughter.
