Topaz couldn't help but smile.
"That's alright, I don't mind paying. I don't have money, but I have something even better." She pulled out a palm sized bag and shook it gently. There was a sound of glass klinking together merrily from inside. She tossed it up a few inches, caught it, and stowed it away.
"Diamonds; they are pretty much priceles in any place you go to. Everyone wants them."
.: You never said you had diamonds! :.
.: You never asked. :.
.: But you have something else? I can tell, you're secretive. :.
.: Yes, you are right, I am being secretive. And for a good reason. :.
.: Like what? :.
.: Well, if I told you, then how could I be secretive? :.
Topaz smiled again, took Emelin's arm, and strolled of down the street. Mel looked taken aback, but rushed to them, and trotted along side once he had caught up.

Saphira_lights For a few seconds Fire thought of turning and leaving Neo trapped in the burning temple. She had even span round. But that wouldn't be an honourable death for him, even if he was awful at fighting. If she was going to kill him she would let him die fighting. But she soon turned round again and began to work on first controlling, then extingushing the fire. At the same time, Neo began to look round the temple for anyone that may be left or trapped, his mind always focused on the fate of Freyr who was in the hands of Tharazzi and Janoch. "Help!" Neo span round several times, trying to see through the thick smoke. "Help!" the alien sighed and began to walk, checking each room for any sign of life. He finally found the source of the voice, a small boy around 12 who was partially trapped and slightly burnt because of the unstable building. "Help." he said, looking at Neo in pure terror. "I'll try." neo smiled.
"Erm...hold on." neo muttered, examining the way in which the boy was stuck, although he wasn't badly hurt his foot was trapped beneath part of one of the pillars that held the structure in place. Fire lapped at the doorway and filled the room with smoke.
Gwyneth. neo spent about a minute trying to open his mind enough to contact the Ithrannian fire knight but finally managed, calling the half panther by her real name.
Care to put out the fire so that i can escape? he asked. Instead of a mental reply the flames outside the doorway immidiently vanished.
"Help." the child said meekly, struggling to get free.
"Keep still." neo muttered, grabbing the piece of rock and attempting to remove it. |

Saphira_lights "Erm...hold on." neo muttered, examining the way in which the boy was stuck, although he wasn't badly hurt his foot was trapped beneath part of one of the pillars that held the structure in place. Fire lapped at the doorway and filled the room with smoke. Gwyneth. neo spent about a minute trying to open his mind enough to contact the Ithrannian fire knight but finally managed, calling the half panther by her real name. "Keep still." neo muttered, grabbing the piece of rock and attempting to remove it.
After about a minute of struggling with the rock he gave up.
"This could be tricky..." he muttered. "Hang on. What's your name?" neo asked suddenly while trying to get a better grip on the stone.
"Alexander..." the boy said nervously.
"Nice to meet you Alexander, nearly out."
Suddenly the rock flew backwards to its original position and the boy was free.
"How did you do that?" Alexander suddenly asked, pushing himself against a corner and looking at Neo fearfully.
"I'll answer that question when we are not in a building that is on fire." neo smiled, grabbing the child before he had chance to react and began to pull him to the exit.
The two finally got outside, but before Neo could answer Alexanders question the boy had disappeared. He was well on his way back to the city.
"Next time, we do it the other way round." neo gasped. "Presuming there is a next time." |

"I'll answer that question when we are not in a building that is on fire." neo smiled, grabbing the child before he had chance to react and began to pull him to the exit. The two finally got outside, but before Neo could answer Alexanders question the boy had disappeared. He was well on his way back to the city. "Next time, we do it the other way round." neo gasped. "Presuming there is a next time."
Neo soon recovered and quickly made his way through the city, followed closely by Fire.
"How is she?" fire asked quietly knowing that Neo was worried about the time dragon.
How is Freyr? she asked Tharazzi.
Not good. came the short reply but by the time the fire dragon had sent the reply, Neo had reached him anyway. He moved straight over to Freyr and sat down beside her silently.
"Can you help her?" fire asked, crouching beside the future time knight cautiously.
"Yes." neo snapped, standing and pacing back and forth, casting furtive glances at the dying pale purple dragon laid helplessly on the sandy ground.
Why doesn't he? fire asked Tharazzi privately, it was hard for her to imagine why he didn't act straight away and save Freyr's life.
Unlike us, Neo has yet to bond with Freyr and doesn't feel the same way about her as we do. tharazzi tried to explain although he wasn't fully sure. The little red dragon jumped onto Fire's shoulders.
Janoch left. he muttered.
I noticed.
The half panther suddenly dug her hand into a pocket and pulled out the strange item the time dragon had given her before he had left. It seemed to be a watch hung from a thin gold chain. On the face of the clock were roman numerals and several smaller faces inside the large on displaying date, year and various other things that made no sense to the fire knight. The other strange thing about the clock were the tiny angelic wings that fluttered helplessly at either side of the clock, near the numerals that stood for 11 and 1. On the back of the clock were strange symbols that Fire distantly recognised as part of Neo's native language.
The item had a strange beauty about it, something that made the viewer want to let their gaze rest upon the clock for days and make it almost unbearable to turn away when they knew it was around.
It is beautiful. tharazzi said, grasping the chain and gliding down to the floor, he then began to walk over to the time knight and held it up to him silently.
Neo took it and stopped, he sat beside Freyr again but instead of focusing his attention on the dying dragon, he kept his piercing blue gaze on the face of the clock and all of its detail. |

"Because i am magic." neo said sarcastically, his pale hands beginning to glow a faint purple that was similar in colour to Freyr. Although he was unable to directly heal the dragon, he would be able to take the wounded portions of Freyr either forward or backwards in time to a point when they would be healed.
After a while Neo stopped and stood. He began to pace again even though there didn't seem to be any great improvement in the time dragon's health.
"Where is Janoch?" neo looked up suddenly. It had taken him a while to place what had changed but now he knew. The large golden time dragon was no longer there waiting for them. |

"I don't know." fire shrugged, gripping her spear cautiously after hearing a rustling in the bushes nearby. Tharazzi ignored his knight and sat beside Freyr, a slight frown on his face.
She seems better he said to the half panther even though she didn't seem to worried anyway.
Neo suddenly changed direction, aiming back towards the city and gestured for Fire to follow. "It is time to invest in a weapon." he said softly, almost regretably.
"What about Freyr?" fire asked, hurrying after Neo.
"I am hoping that Tharazzi will stay to look after her until we return."
Tharazzi nodded silently, although he could do nothing to directly preserve the dragon's life, he could kill anything that meant her harm.
Without waiting any longer, Neo continued to walk quickly back towards the city.
"I thought you were against violence." fire smiled thinking of Neo's want for a weapon a silent victory for herself.
"A weapon is needed even if i will never use it." neo assured her. "You will help me choose one? I have enough money no matter the cost." presuming the answer would be yes Neo placed several leather pouches of various coins into Fire's hands, trusting her to sort through them and find the ones suited to the time and place. |

Topaz grinned. "Come now! Just because I am a simple outcast, doesn't mean I have to be poor. I have a small fortune left by my parents under guard in my village, though I dare not go back there, because they think I am a murderer." She paused here, to recollect herself.
"The diamonds are acctualy from a sapphire mine near my second home. We elves, at least those that I am from, do not valuse diamonds as jewels, so as a little girl, I played at the mines, and the workers gave me their diamonds that they could do nothing with. They thought, as we all did, that they were simply mistakes by the earth. Of course, they are more valuable than sapphires, which I have another bag of in my pack."
They walked along for a bit, before Topaz saw a delightful little store. "Look there, that looks quaint. Lets go there, they are selling dresses and clothes. Well, I can't think of any use for a dress, but a new outfit, more suited towards dragon riding might be nice, what'd'you say?"

"Absolutely brilliant..." she said slowly as she pulled out a new sleevless tunic, all black and tight to the skin, but with a high collar. "This would go perfect with some nice arm guards, don't you think?"
Mel hid underneath the dress line, waiting for Sien.
.: Get out from under there, you'll break something. :.
But Mel wasn't listening, and as Siencyn walked by he shot out, his wings spread wide, tipping the dresses over and on to the floor.
"Told you, you brat..." she glared down at Mel as she rushed over and began to pick up all the dresses. The shop attendant, a very nice old lady, sidled over and helped clean up.
"I'm very sorry, madam."
"Don't be, dear. Happens all the time. Though, not with a dragon." She gave a kind, motherly smile as Topaz set the rack upright again and began to hang dresses back up.

Eyotto ReiWolf23 Eyotto Eyotto chuckled evilly. "Reiko, that's the point! You harbor a dark power inside you. I can help you open it and you can get revenge on that village! C'mon Reiko.." Eyotto started to advance on her. "Join me! You're not in a position to say 'no'!" "Heh I don't need you to tell me to take revenge...I'm already on that path. " She paused. "I might join you however. You seem to be a person of great power I would want to learn more and become more powerful...and destroy that village so there's no single thing alive, not even the ants who are forced to feed upon the crumbs on the ground." She stepped up closer to him, "Can you do that? Are you able...to tell me the way to which I can finally become a full demon, instead of this filthy half-demon form that I am in now?" She looked at him with an icy gaze. Eyotto cocked a smirk. "Don't call yourself filthy. Many times, half demons are stronger. They may contain a bit of a resistance to that which defeats your typical demon when they are half human. But if you still desire it, then I may be able to help."
She smirked, "In that case...I'll join you." -=Reiko this may not be a good idea=- Reiko said to Duran, "I know what I'm doing alright, besides you don't know what I've been through." Duran snorted. -=Don't forget that I am quite older than you, but I respect your choice. I'll help you gain your revenge then, I have a score to settle with them myself.=- |
