So, in Demon's Souls stage 1-1, there's a heavily armored red-eyes knight that's somewhat isolated from the rest of the the area. He's a pain in the a** to defeat, and for some reason can spear you even when he's not facing you.

Turns out that if you lure him downstairs to near the staring area, he'll either fall down the stairs to his death or you can force him into an instant-kill pit, and still get a crapton of souls.

As far as I can tell it's the equivalent of beating Yellow Demon in Mega Man using that trick where you constantly pause and unpause.
