I don't really have a problem with Soul form. I don't want to waste my items that return me to human form, and I can mooch off of other people's games without losing any of my souls. I'm noticing that the zombie-like enemies in the mines take extra damage from piercing, though.

Also, found some Brass Knuckles. Hell yes.

I've noticed the weirdo magician shrug off a lot of attacks though.

Yeah, right at the beginning of 2-1, theres a message saying the next enemy is weak against piercing attacks, and then next to it, theres another message saying the next enemy is weak against magic, so it pretty much tells you you need a piercing weapon or magic to do real damage to those scaly pot belly guys.

Meanwhile, the laughing fat man... I dont even know, I just walk over, stab him, and then roll back and sidestep his fireball or whatever, then repeat. I think 4 or 5 stabs kills him or something?

I do like the 3-1 level, though it kinda scares me. Mind flayers or something walking around the prison corridoors ringing a chime, and OH GOD THEY USE MAGIC. Its a good and bad thing that the halls are so small though, since you can hide around a corner and run out to backstab them when they turn their back. Then wail away at them before they get up. But its a good level since theres some pretty good loot lying around. I'm using the black leather, black gloves, black boots, and assassin's hood I found on the 4th floor there, and you can pick up a full set of fluted armor on the 1st floor if you dont like light armor. And hero/soldier souls everywhere.

Also, another weird a** enemy. Possibly freakier than the mind flayers. On the first floor of the prison, theres this... giant ball of corpses. I didnt want to get near it, it looked dangerous, so I stood back and shot it to death.

I went back to MIND FLAYER HEADQUARTERS. Found some Wizard's clothes so far, or something like that, and some items... I basically just rush the whateverthehells and hope for the best.

Did watch someone's bloodspatter get paralyzed, lifted off the ground, and then gut punched, which was hilarious.

And as for Samurai Showdown, I remember using Cham Cham and getting sliced in half. It wasn't one of the ones where there was blood everywhere, but it was one of those faux-violence, "your character slides in half and blinks out of existence" things.

I didn't play Samurai Showdown much, so I kind of cycled through characters. Cham Cham was the only character that got instant-killed though, hence the vivid memory.
