HonoRaven Ammiel Moonblade It's not going to last six months this year. They're trying to wrap things up by March this time around. Edit: ...wat? How did this end up on the top of the page? it's a glitch from a couple days ago.. things will go back to normal when we roll over the page. but as for it being over quickly I doubt that when they are already looking to set back the start date by 2 weeks sweatdrop
Note that we never set an official date, so it's more like finalizing the schedule, as opposed to pushing it back. It was left intentionally open in case we needed to change it. That's why it's still " Tournament start date: TBA" in the Codex, a start date was never provided outside of the one I mentioned we might be going with. So no, we aren't moving the date at all, we're finalizing it. We left it as TBA because we didn't know if any problems would arise.
Problems like Christmas. Or getting dragged into visiting family for it >:{
As for it being over quickly, I don't see it taking long at all, especially in comparison to last year. It's single elimination, and through hell or high water we're not going to go over the one-week mark for judging unless somehow two or three of us have serious issues like family death or getting hit by cars. The entire point of this year is to avoid the same pitfalls of last year.
Otherwise we might as well ban you all from the guild and shut it down, because all of the staff is very much aware of the fact that we can't continue this trend of tournament staff dragging their event, and if it happens again, then Heaven or Hell will likely be dead and done.
That aside, we're a pretty efficient group, I think. Not quite as experienced as the usual group of people like JB, Kraun, Jello, or Max, but we generally get things done fast, and a lot of times before the schedule. Like.. well, almost everything, at this point. I don't think we've ever fallen behind on anything, yet. Not really intending for that to change.
