On NMH2: Yeah. Pretty much. It mostly brings back the cast from the first, which, while good that it continues their stories, doesn't add a whole lot to the overall feel of the game. That said, most of the characters have gotten a visual upgrade of some kind, though (as hypocritical as this is going to sound) Dr. Naomi's boobs are entirely too huge. Like... comically big.

The 8-bit games have a lot of charm but tend to get stale pretty quick unless you can speedrun them. That said, if you liked the first you're going to like the second, hands-down. And the monotony of collecting money JUST for fights is gone. You're automatically in - money is just there to buy new weapons / outfits.

Oh, and JB taught me this - if you get killed, while Travis is still on his feet, flail the controller and nunchaku like a madman and he'll regain some of his health and keep fighting. It works like... five times, at least.

[EDIT]

Er, five times per mission / continue.

Thank you for the input as well, rage, haha.

I still love No More Heroes for (lololhighlightforspoilers) forcing you to watch a video of the slowed down speech to understand the big secret of the game, hahaha. I'm curious how most of the cast will return when they got completely annihilated in the first game, though.

I'll definitely look into it, now. Good to hear it still has that charm.

And recharging the sword in NMH basically made me completely ok with doing anything awkward with the wiimote, hahahaha. So good to know about the flailing tip.

Edit: They had better top this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFfjisCTxhE&feature=related Got stuck in my head for like 3 weeks, and you probably know what song it is without even clicking it.

I didn't realize how awesome the Metal Slug characters were until I read Tarma's full name.

Tarmicle Roving III.

It's eerie that Silver's signature hair and avatar hair are almost a perfect match.

I'm probably the only person with no complaints about Shadow of the Colussus' pacing.

But then, I adore just being able to climb around doing random s**t and exploring beautiful, dynamic, or interesting environments. And that game was one of the most interesting to explore I've ever run into.

It occurs to me that if I want to submit something to DeviantART, with one image working as a preview and a second being the actual full image when you click on it, I have no idea how. Even though that crap is all over the place.

Stupid website.

@Rage: You have to give the first shown and the full image different sizes. Like, 600 x 800 for the preview, and keep the original size for the full view (or scale that down as well, if it's too big, and keep that for the download, for example).

I'm apparently going to have to play Nethack and the other game Fen mentioned. Because hurhur, MUTATIONS.

I'd laugh if it was the thing that fully sparked my interest again.

Hmm. It's just, I have the image I want to use as the preview, which is relatively small, and of course the image I want to submit. But there's nothing that allows you to select one for the preview, and the other for the full deviation.

The options underneath look like this:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

What annoys me is that I know, know there used to be an option that let you choose an image for the full view and one for the preview, but it's not there anymore. Maybe I'm just missing something.
