Also, potential rp for people to join in the ooc forum. Need three more people to sign up.

This rp is a way to get into the Orochi storyline, if you're not already are, if that suits your fancy. Or just for some roleplaying in general.

I'm not what?

*stomach goes concave, makes squeak noise, fluff returns to normal*

What did that accomplish? ._.

I...guess I have to read more closely what Obama's health reform is about. Because I'm more than surprised to see that people (here) are totally against it, whining for the taxes will be higher...but isn't it about a social health system, so that anybody is eligible for health care...?

It's not the social healthcare Europe and Canada touts though.

It's some gimped a** version that came from both the Liberals and Conservatives trying to twist the original concept to fit what they wanted.

It's pretty much a crippled attempt at socializing healthcare. If they're going to do it, they might as well do it right, not this abortion of an attempt.

I like to think that while they could have done a whole lot better and done more for the american people they did at least take a small step in the right direction of fixing a problem.

Granted its like a band aid on a gaping bullet wound; but its still a bit better then what was in place.

Medicaid sucks.

Just throwing that out there.

They took a step in the right direction then proceeded to have an epileptic fit and fell over.

It's probably going to take them a couple of decades to figure out how to get back up and try to do it again. Because the U.S. political/bureaucratic system is awful.

It's like they're scared of becoming something else!

And that's all the politics talk I'm doing for the rest of the day.

This is basically what I believe.

It's definitely not that great right now (pretty bad, actually), but simply sitting there and going "Well, the political system is terrible, the climate is divisive and we'll never pass European healthcare, better just forget about it" would have really been unfortunate.
