You guys are probably used to getting your pizza out of a box.

Gran had one of those fire clay things that you heated with firewood. Open type oven, and anything cooked in that is so much better hot.

Fresh spices from her garden, the warm fire, and delicious melt in your mouth buttered crust.

*stomach grumbles* I miss her AND the food she made.

I haven't had pizza in like... a year.

Take THAT. I win.

My dad had a recipe for challa bread that was wonderful, but was always a lot of work. >.< Sometimes I wish we had made it again before he died. ._.

Then again, I think it was the same recipe in that Joy of Cooking book we have. But back when he was able to walk, he loved to make it.

Jay's wife makes some damn good pizza if I do say so myself. XD They don't have a big old brick oven but still. I love me some pizza and movie night.

@Night: I don't log in as much as I used to. In fact, I really should a lot more often. Maybe it's my depression that keeps me from getting back to it. >.<

I still got a lot of work to do in it along the lines of PvP and PvE progression. My guild is too far ahead of me. ._. Right now they're working on taking down the Lich King. I saw how the encounter looks, and its REALLY hard, but really rewarding at the end.

By the by, what are those extra PvP features in WAR? I keep hearing about it being the "ultimate pvp experience".

That signature quote gives me a mental image of applying an eye chart to a character that you are referring to Desi. *snickers*

I know, they do sound and seem very similar but I just prefer the theme of WAR better. I'm not too partial to WoW's models and environments and just the general look of it.

Bren covered most of it, but... I haven't played WAR since the first release so they've probably updated it a lot. However, it's more or less just WoW reskinned. The differences are:

1. Your race is your class (more or less). Each race has about 3-4 class options open to it, and each class is unique to that race. Orc tanks are the Black Orc class, which are similar to but not the same as any other class... whether on that faction or the other. Most have an equivalent on the opposite end, but not all.

2. Heavy PvP focus. You get exp for PvPing, and you can buy gear for your level pretty cheaply from the PvP point store. So basically, after getting out of the starting area if you felt like it you could PvP to level cap and never have to hunt for equipment or worry about getting money.

3. The theme is SO MUCH BETTER. No cartoonish whatzits giving you pointless quests. Now you have properly themed whatzits giving you pointless quests that fit into the larger theme of the zone. Such as burning down a village.

4. Less content. More or less. There just doesn't seem to be as much to do, but what's there is more than enough to get you outleveled for the zone and moved on to the next one.

I used to make homemade pizzas all the time and calzones. My dad would make the dough and I'd do the rest.

@Jordan: My mom and I often made pizza when I stayed at my parents' over the weekend =) ...great, now I really wish I had any kind of pizza here...but I don't....why did I decide again not to have pizza like products every week like last semester? gonk

Ahahaha, isn't it great?

Used to do it all the time with my family. I think the best part was we'd be cooking 4-5 very involved things at once, so there was a ton of multitasking, things being tossed back and forth between the room, etc. xd It was a blast.

One of the reasons I hope my college does an Iron Chef esque thing. I don't even care about winning it, timed cooking is a rush.

Problematic, last I checked. But it's been a while since I played it.

They had a lot of good ideas, such as having a secondary target set for allies in addition to your enemy target. Therefore you have your party-boost abilities that affect your allies (such as tanks being able to set their tank buddy... like Warriors got in WoW after WAR came out when the introduced Vigilance or whatever that talent was called)... It was good that they enforced party mechanics in PvP. Like taunting actually has a use, as does detaunting, and there's a clear reason to go for the tank rather than the healer first...

However, it seems like they balanced the game for PvE and built it for PvP. Healers are invincible. Every class has energy like a Rogue in WoW so they can just stop for a few seconds and be back to full. Which means that unless you have ridiculous DPS and aren't going to die from being whittled down over time, you cannot kill a healer. I once stood there for 20 minutes trading spells with another healer - I came close to killing him one or two times, but we always ended up at the same point. Eventually I just left.

I also tanked 2-3 Heros 5-ish levels above me while trying to solo a public quest. The quest timer ran out while I was trying to whittle them down though so I didn't manage to finish.
