No, they were kind of a retarded useless class in WAR.

I got WAR when it first came out. Made an orc, killed some dorfs, got bored, gave up.

Actually, Iron Breakers are still one of the most powerful tanks in the game.

Forget how Slayers are, but they used to be OP like Choppas when they were introduced. Engineers, like Magi, are better but not incredible or anything, and Rune Priests still have the best heals in the game.

I actually enjoyed WAR for what it was. Granted, I made an orc because there were no trolls (I was coming off of WoW and I always liked the trolls), but lately I've found that MMOs don't capture my interest as much as they used to. The mixed PVP / PVE zones were fun, and the short and quick but challenging open areas where even if you didn't get anything, you could hang around for a few more minutes to give it another shot. And even then if you failed multiple times, it just increased your chances to actually get something.

Besides that though, I liked feeling like my character was part of a cohesive story. Besides just getting items, completing story missions made me feel like my character was important, and that I could track his history.

As compared to WoW, where in Soviet Azeroth, spaceship crash YOU. Then all of a sudden you join the humans because why the hell not. Because blue aliens from space just happen to worship the same BIGGER aliens as humans.

I have a friend with an 80 IB and 70 renown. Completely red armor and an unreal stat base, sewn from an RvR server.

Recently the RvR server for War Europe was shut down and we were shuttled into a Core.

They sent the PUG's first, without guilds.

It was like throwing jackles into a sheep farm.

Then they released the guilds.

I actually hated Engineers and Iron Breakers.

Such a pain in the a** to kill. Iron Breakers moreso than Engineers.

:laughs: He had a wonderful trick. There's an ability that launches people. Now, normally people discourage this cause there's nothing worse then being in combat and some idiot knocks your target away.

But what he'd do is he'd wade into the middle of a group of chaos, and launch the healers over their tanks heads and into the group of order dps ranks.

Psh, not California weather. Bay Area weather.
It defies all logic and reason with its clouds and raigh, and still manages to fit in a few hours of sun a day if its not winter.
