All of you go to the site feedback forum and say in the stickied thread why notices are such a bad idea. Preferably ask them to default the friends page area back to the friends list from the "INVITE PEOPLE FROM OFF GAIA" page too.

That way when they don't change anything despite overwhelmingly negative feedback, we can feel justified firebombing them.

I mean, uh, arson is illegal and should never be a manner of conflict resolution. Right.

I stopped checking announcements like a year ago when they had ten more every day about how they wanted my money.

I've only had about three notices so far, though.

If they add an option to disable it, I'll be fine with the system.

Because I'll proceed to disable it and never care.

But logging in to like 20 notices about s**t I either a) don't care about or b) can check elsewhere without as much hassle is just grating on the nerves.

I'm fine with "You have a PM!" or "You have a trade!" That' useful. Generic, vague notices that take me to a page I have to sort through to find relevant s**t? Not that useful.
