So, hey, there's that.

You can't change a dysfunctional person, but I can't tell you how many times I've sat in conversations with friends who complain about how badly they are treated, and the rotten things that their partners do to them.

To which I always ask, why stay if things are that bad?

a. Things will get better
b. We've been together for soooo long
c. I can change him
d.
e. He's not always like that
f. I can't afford to leave
g. We have kids together


And the list goes on, but the delusion of being able to change that person into what they want them to be is probably the biggest pile of bullshit they try to force feed me.
