Fayra was half a match to Jaden; her one eye, though not swollen, was sporting the same black color as Jaden. She thought about hir offer as she rocked slightly with the movement of the ship. The only time Fayra had been to Sihnon had been as a child, and she did like the idea of touring the planet again.

"That sounds nice, I think," she answered finally. "It has been a long time since I have seen Sihnon."

"Plan for a day, I think. At least for now. I'm looking forward to seeing Jin-li, if you hear from her again tell her I said hello." Aria stayed in her seat as they landed, rising when she ship was securely on the ground. "I will be in my room, getting ready if you need me."

She walked from the room and headed directly for her quarters on the ship.

"Plenty to see here." Jaden nodded as the ship's engines quited then shut off. "If Cap comes this way, tell her you're coming with. I've gotta go help Aria."

With that, ze stood, stretched and clomped away. The ship's muscle paused at Aria's door and knocked briefly as warning that ze was there before opening the door and sliding down the ladder to Aria's quarters.

"Oh, I'm sure we'll hear from her sometime soon." Jas called over her shoulder as Aria left the bridge.

Alone once again, the tall blonde began the process of locking the ship down to the port and shutting down the engines. Once that had been completed, she sent a wave to their customer to indicate that they were ready to unload the crates and that he should send a team of workmen to do it and carry it away. Having done that, Jas stood, stretched and looked down at her clothes with a sigh. She had been intending to wear her nice clothes to escort Aria to the okiya, but she had forgotten to change after the excitement with Ap Ieuan.

Joints popping, the captain walked the twenty steps to her quarters and slid down the ladder. This meant her second best shirt and a jacket and tie to cover it up. Muttering to herself, she began changing, knowing that she had a good amount of time before Aria would be ready to leave.

The doctor nodded as Jaden left, remaining in her seat a short time after the muscle left. She wasn't really sure what ze was doing to help Aria, but maybe it wasn't her place to wonder. After some time she got up and moved to the sink and began cleaning the various dishes that were in the kitchen. Her mind was occupied with something far away from the mundane cleaning she was doing but the dishes kept her hands busy.

She hadn't talked to Jas or Aria much since arriving at the ship. Piloting the ship seemed interesting though, perhaps if she was quiet Jas would let her observe or even show her a few of the basics. Fayra could hardly imagine Aria's job without shuddering though. With no interest in letting a stranger touch her she was even less interested in intimacy with anyone. Especially someone she only knew through a contract. She had, however, spent a bit of time with Jaden. As she cleaned, the medic's mind turned back to the gender-vague muscle more often than the other members of the crew. Ze was unpredictable and confusing. What would ze look like if ze smiled?

Aria was in her room when Jaden slid down. She wasn't wearing much but she didn't cover up. As Jaden was usually the person to help her dress when she needed it, ze had seen her in all states of undress at one time or another. As it was, she was wearing a sheer camisole and panties, getting to work on her hair. She had washed it back on Persephone so she wouldn't be able to get it put up traditionally. But at least she could arrange it up on her head to expose her neck properly.

"What season is it on Sihnon do you think, Jaden?" Aria was worried about the colors she had chosen. Her kimono was a dark blue with a pink pattern of flower petals working it's way up from the bottom hem. The obi was so pale a pink it was almost white.

Arms up over her head the turned to look at hir while fussing with a hair pin. "When we're done I will also need help getting the kimono in storage onto the mule so I can get them to the Okiya."

Once hir boots hit the deck, Jaden grunted a greeting to Aria and moved to stand out of the way until Aria was ready for hir help, but in an easier spot for Aria to look at hir and work. Jaden crossed hir arms and leaned against the nearest open space casually.

"Er...one with weather? Possibly?" Ze shrugged before absently scratching a cheek then wincing at the effect the pressure had on bruises. "Guess you could call it spring? Could be summer already. Or maybe it's fall. Never thought much about seasons." There was a pause as Jaden frowned in thought for a moment before speaking again. "The doctor and I are going out to fetch and see the sights later. You want me to find something for you while we're out?"

"You only notice it's winter because I make you put a coat on before going out," Aria said affectionately. She turned back to the mirror to finish with her hair- she wanted to at least get it up and into the shape she wanted it in.

"Aaand there. What do you think? It's not peaches but I think it'll do. Are you ready to paint, Jaden?" Aria looked over her shoulder at Jaden then got out her cosmetics kit, laying out the things which were needed.

Silently, Jaden nodded before turning hir attention to the cosmetics kit. Presumably the ship's muscle-for-hire had once had artistic training because the skill set that made hir so deft at helping Aria with this particular part of getting dressed was not a normal one for a gun-for-hire. Ze carefully made sure that everything was where ze was used to it being and in the right order before beginning to carefully layer on the make-up. Jaden's hands were steady, skilled and sure and hir touch relatively gentle for someone who usually used those hands to hit things. And instead of Jaden's more frequent frown of annoyance or anger, the androgynous figure's frown was more of one of intense concentration.

After a while, Jaden's frown faded and ze nodded slightly, leaning back. "There ya go. You want me to fix any of that?"

It had been a strange day for Aria when she had discovered that Jaden held the ability and even was skillful at this. Once she knew hir better the companion already suspected there was more than just the grim muscle to Jaden, and this confirmed her belief that ze held potential to be something other than a lethal force.

She leaned forward, inspecting her face and used a second mirror to see the back of her neck. "It's lovely. You're a real talent, Jaden."

Aria got to her feet and slipped into the first layer of clothing.

Dressed in what could pass as at least good clothes for most of the system and tie slightly askew, Jas climbed back up the ladder and retrieved her plate before taking it into the eating area. The tall blonde brought it to the sink to wash later, only to find their doctor elbow deep in dishes. A smile tugged at her lips before she smothered it for fear of making Fayra think that she was laughing silently at her.

"Thank you, Doctor Gardiner. Usually I leave those to Jaden to keep hir occupied while we're flying or do them myself while Jaden's out fetching." Jas said after clearing her throat to announce herself. "Washing the dishes was entirely unnecessary. You could have gone up to watch the people outside from the bridge if you wanted. Just shift some of the crates around and you can get a good viewing platform right next to the windows."

She didn't jump, surprisingly, when Jas showed up in the kitchen. Or even pull her hands out of the soapy water. Fayra turned her head to look at the captain though and set a dish to dry.

"I don't mind. At best I will have little work on your ship, meaning no one is injured. I like to have something to do." Fayra flicked water from her hands back into the sink and wiped them off on a cloth. "Jaden asked me to let you know that I would be coming with you? I have not been to Sihnon in a very long time."

The tall androgynous muscle snorted derisively at the idea that ze had talent for applying makeup. It wasn't something that ze would admit to or even talk about except for maybe to Aria and even then only under certain circumstances. However, ze did step back as Aria got to her feet and began getting properly dressed. One of the things that Jaden would admit to was spending the same amount of time getting ready to go out that Aria did from time to time. But only if pressed.

After all, the mohawk did take quite a bit of time to do and there was a lot of silver to keep polished in hir wardrobe. Not to mention getting blood out of clothes and repairing rips and tears. But it was mostly the mohawk and the layers of getting dressed that took the time.

Patiently, Jaden waited for Aria to indicate that she needed Jaden's help.

Aria smiled at her reflection and the smaller shape of Jaden she could see behind her in the mirror. She continued to get dressed carefully, letting no detail get overlooked. Going to the Okiya was even more nerve-wracking than seeing the heads of state on any planet.

"Tie me?" It wasn't just the make up that Aria needed help with. She could manage it on her own if she needed to, the make up that is. But it was virtually impossible to tie her own obi. Before Jaden had come along, Jas had come up with the most incredible excuses not to help Aria with her clothing.

"I think one of these days I should show up at the Okiya in one of your outfits, Jaden. Do you think I can pull it off?"

"With me?" Jas blinked before sudden comprehension showed on her face. "Oh when we go out with Aria to her okiya then to the rest of the city? I, unfortunately, have to come back to the ship after I escort her to the okiya. There's another batch of workers that are coming by to take the melons to our customer. And then another bringing by the next shipment. Then if any passengers want to charter us, at least one of us should be here. Fortunately, I've seen my share of Sihnon."

For a moment Jas contemplated adding a "So you kids go have fun" before thinking better of it. She didn't know what Fayra's idea of fun was yet, but she certainly knew Jaden's and wasn't about to encourage it. Needing to leave the planet soon was bad enough between Aria's need to not be near it and their incoming mechanic's need to be entertained.

"Do you think there will be a lot of tourists?" Fayra's posture didn't change as she was returned to the last of the dishes, accepting the few from Jas and adding them to the water. She glanced into one of the clean pans, hoping that her black eye wasn't too apparent. It was, but she could hope.

There wasn't many dishes left, and she had them done shortly, drying her hands one last time. She was edgy at the thought of a lot of people, chewing her lip a little, but it was nothing like the prospect of being captured.

"I think you're a bit short." Jaden replied after a moment of thought as ze carefully wound the obi around Aria. "And. Your hair's too long. But I can find you something similar that would work if you want. Pulling tight in three. One. Two."

Then, with a grunted three, Jaden pulled the obi tight. Really really tight. Ze was of the opinion that the outfits that Aria was required to wear were pointlessly troublesome and painful, antiquated and - although they looked good on Aria - ridiculous. Once the piece of fabric had been pulled tightly around Aria, Jaden began deftly tying it. The first dozen times ze had done this for the companion, it had taken much longer, more tries and hadn't been easy.

Aria timed her breathing just right so that Jaden could get the obi tight as possible. She was still thinking about how her family would respond if she was to appear wearing the same sorts of things Jaden did. Likely she would attract and entirely different sort of clientele.

"Thank you, Jaden. Am I delectable?" She slipped into her geta and finished up by putting ornaments into her hair.
