Shin - Ok...

Shiro - Thanks.

Koji - Oh, noes! Not the Fork of Doom!

Seth - Thankies! (any news on the Ginny/Seth front?)

Iyou - Fishnapper. It's a fishnapper.

Sj - They actually announced it. Jakobo made a post about it in the Announcements forum. It'll go back to May 9th. I think that they're just going to roll back trades and gold accumulation, rather than posts.

I like to think of driving as another skill to kick a** at, like whistling or playing FPSs. So just get out there, practice, and kick massive driver's ed a**.

ESC - Oh, god. You'd have to pay me to ride the buses in Cleveland. o.O

EDIT: It now seems that you can organize your inventory. Furthermore, you have a "storage" and "suitcase" ("briefcase"? I've forgotten already). And..."houseguests"... Apparently you can "drag and drop" your friends...into your house? Psh. Get out of my house and AWAY from my underwear drawer, thankyouverymuch.

My nearest Public Trans. is a 30 min walk away. stare

AD - ah, I see. I hope that Angelic Headband I got was from before May 9th... xd I guess I'll just have to wait until they complete it to send any trades, since there's really no point in doing it til then.

The rollback is going to make Memai cry ;_; I can't remember who paid me because all my customers either pay for the art first, or just send items for me to sell off in the MP xp

Ironic that the announcement was on Friday the 13th. Let's just hope that there's some other way around the glitch crying

On the subject of driving >> BAH! I wont' have the freedom to drive till I'm in college D: (Since me being Malaysian...and what with my age, I'll be off to college when I'm 17 xd )

Public transport = teh best. I can hog up all the seats in the train when there's less people.
PostPosted: Fri May 13, 2005 10:20 pm
Sj - I don't even know if trading is enabled right now. From the looks of things, we don't even have any gold. xd

Memai - Ugh, that sucks. Maybe you should choose one method and stick with it from now on?

Just how many seats do you need?! o.O

Unrelated: My friends and I watched Equilibrium tonight. <3 Gunfights = teh awesome. For those of you who like gunfights, you should definitely see it. Don't bother buying it, though; the plot holes are big enough to accomodate 747s.

*sigh* ... well, as things stand out, this is the situation with the rollback:

* all items that were recieved (especially rares) will be gone with the rollback.
* any pink links found will ALSO be gone with the rollback
* any and all trades, as well as items in the vend that hadn't been sold/traded were cancelled and items given back to it's original owners
* any and all transactions with gold and items that have happened since may 9th at 5 am PST (that's 12 pm EST) will be null, and the items/gold used will be returned to the original owners.

As it stands, the ones to lose out of this rollback are the artists and shop owners that sell art/breedables. Exchange sharks might be happy that some of their bad investments can be reverted and go at getting better deals out of the new market, but exchange whores who might have gotten good deals all around might lose out of a whole lot more. More to the point: everyone is affected by this rollback... from the commisioners (especially those who are responsible), artists, etc. we will ALL feel the effects of said rollback.

as of now, it's been 9 hours since Lanzer announced that the rollback was in motion... and it's projected for it to end at 8:30 am PST (11:30 pm EST) approximately.

K, the gun-fu was the only reason that I actually DID buy that movie. ( That, and it was $10 ) I wouldn't put up with Christian Bale otherwise.

Grr. I nearly lost my ID Tags yesterday. sad

... Yes, hi. biggrin

Greetings friends, I seem to have missed quite a bit in my brief absense.

The roll back = strange

It sucks to a certain degree for me because I had sold some items on the Market during the last couple of days and was getting some good gold for them. I login this morning and find that: 1) One of those items was sold before the rollback 2) My gold had a net loss of about 50k 3) I received some of the items I had already sold in the past couple of days (it is strange to have 4 Angelic Headbands in my inventory o_O) 4) Apparently you have to rebuy your selling license.

Troublesome, indeed

AD>> That video is pretty funny, I was just shocked at how absurd it was. xd

Lang>> Your brother looks like...quite the character! whee

Shiro>> It does appear that way, doesn't it? neutral

Ah crap...I had a trade pending with Deuxia and it's probably been debunked. (and the gold NOT returned xp ) It's going to take the admins. a long time to sort this one out, there are going to be a lot of very unhappy Gaians. gonk

-----------------

Funny story! Hopefully this will brighten up some people's moods, but if it doesn't...don't hurt me too much. xd

Anyways, I got invited to a BBQ yesterday. My college buddy back home was going because he is currently employed by the college that we used to attend way back when. (so he invites me) Now, everyone was supposed to sign up and bring something, and he opted for sliced cheese.

We go (with the cheese) and mess around, have lunch, talk to some people and decide to leave. (because it is hot, hot, hot, hot, hot) We get his ice chest and see how much cheese is left. Well...not all of it was used, we still have about 32 slices left. It's thrown in my car and we go to visit another friend and end up going and seeing "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." (which was witty and charming beyond all reason, and in a very whacky, absurd way whee )

Well, we're about to drive back to his house and we remember the cheese had been sitting out in the sun for a long time. So, what do we do? We decide to get rid of it in a rather strange way. As we zoom down the highway at 70 mph, my friend rolls down his window and begins to throw the cheese out of the window, seeing if he can hit the signs on the side of the road.

The plan didn't go as well as we thought, we ended up leaving a trail of cheese on the road and probably making fellow drivers raise their eyebrows at our antics. What makes this even stranger is that my friend is tickled to death by this whole ordeal. While he's carelessly throwing cheese out the window he starts laughing hysterically and spouting out weird ramblings.

It was highly entertaining to watch. biggrin

Koji - Uh...huh...

Lang - I have been looking for the soundtrack for that movie and can't find the stupid thing anywhere. It's the same composer who did Pirates of the Caribbean, so you'd think there would be SOME copy of it. No. As far as anyone knows, that movie had no music. It pisses me off.

What's this about your ID tags?

Ashram - Let me see if I've got this right... You and your friends threw cheese out the window on the freeway, and this constitutes an amazing day?
PostPosted: Sat May 14, 2005 10:06 am
Ashram > Wow, that DOES sound like a fun day.
I love spending my afternoons and evenings with cheese. biggrin

AyDee > Buh, yeah, I know. My friend and I were bitching about that same thing after watching the movie a few months ago.
I guess the soundtrack is all in our heads after all. sad

Oh, the chain that my tags hang on broke while I was riding, so I nearly left them god knows where.

Come to think of it, that would have made me so depressed. I've hardly taken them off in all of the years that I've had them. neutral

Ashram~ Haha, fun. xD

Lang~ I get sad if I loose something, too. gonk I lost my favorite studded bracelet last week. ): It had memories. ;_;
PostPosted: Sat May 14, 2005 10:25 am
AD ... uh... what i could find was WHO did it, and the track listing of the soundtrack, but no places where they sold it neutral

Bio of the composer is [here]

and track listing with a small soundtrack review is [here]

be sure to check out the Bio...you'll be quite surprised to find some works he has done from probably some of your fav movies. 3nodding

then again, you probably know who he was all along, and I'm just making an a** out of myself xd ... typical. mad ;;;

AD>> Nah! It constitutes as a sadly amusing day. It's hilarity resulted from its sheer absurdity, at least in our minds. (and it was just me and my college buddy *remember Felix the Helix who popped in here once and has since disappeared? That guy*)

Lang>> It was ... really sad xd but it was fun.

Koji>> Indeed, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have cheese that needs to be gotten rid of, though. sweatdrop

Shiro>> Soundtrack? Composer? Dare I ask what you are referring to? surprised
PostPosted: Sat May 14, 2005 10:43 am
Ashram :: I'm reffering to AD's Unrelated story if her watching the movie called "Equilibrium" and how Lang and AD's attempts at finding the soundtrack were futile :3

Ashram - xd That sounds like an absolutely wonderful day. I'm jealous of your ability to drive legally.

Shiro - Ack! My art in Shiro's sig! It was just a sketch... sweatdrop

Kwah! I just realized a whole bunch of you aren't on my friendslist. Be my friends, damn you!... domokun
