ZombieApocalypseSurvivor ZombieApocalypseSurvivor NoLifeKing66 (Richie? Jean-Mark? Anybody?) Richie shot straight up in bed, breathing hard. "It was just a dream, calm down, it was just a dream," He said to himself as he looked at his watch. 2am. He had only been asleep a few hour, and the thunderstorm had woken him up. He wasn't sure when it rolled in, but it was now right on top of him. Lightning andunder crashed and flashed all around him like a fireworks show. He got out of bed and tried flipping on the overhead light to the room. No luck. "Dammit," he mumbled to himself, "The pwer must have been knocked out." He walked over to his bag by his bed, using the constant lightning flashes to find his way and grab his flashlight. Suddenly, he heard a loud scream nearby. He turned around instinctivly and shiend the flashlight in the doorway. He quickly made his way to Maryse's room to see if she had heard the scream as well. "Hey maryse, wake up!" Richie shouted as he banged on the door, but his shouts and bangs were almost muted by the lightning and thunder. "Maryse, Dammit, open up, are you okay?" Richie shouted as he pounded the door so hard he was sure it would break down. He was concerned with the amount of time it was taking Maryse to answer him, but he didn't want to bust down the door and have her shoot him in the leg for intruding during the middle of the night. (The scream was something i was trying to set up back then, but I can't remember anymore lol. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the RP heading along th direction of the zombies overruning the wall and the place being unsafe and the scream is just a poor innocent victim that is unimportant lol.)
(I don't think the zombies would be able to overrun the wall; there's an entire platoon of soldiers set up on the wall specifically to prevent that from happening. However, if there were some sort of small breech that could have been overlooked... well, that's something else entirely. Not enough to result in the deaths of everyone in the stronghold, of course, but enough to cause a scare.)
Maryse's icy green eyes eased open. Somebody was calling her name, she realized. And pounding on her door. She slipped off the bed and made her way through the darkness. She forgot to put her shoes on, and stubbed her toe on a dresser. "Enfoiré!" she screamed. <********> Maryse limped the rest of the way to the door and, grabbing the doorknob, yanked it open. It stuck, so she yanked a little harder. Richie stood outside her room. She could only barely make out his features.
"What do you want?" she asked. Between being woken from her slumber and stubbing her toe on the dresser, Maryse was grumpy, and her face showed it; the corners of her lips were pulled down in a scowl.

I'll go check out," Richie said, hobbling as fast as he could back down to his room to get dressed to investigate the scream.

"I heard a woman scream," Richie said. "Are you alright?"
Just as Maryse was about to reply, another scream pierced the night. This one, nearer. "That one was just down the street!" Richie said. "Get dressed and grab your bag; we may need to get out of herre in a hurry. I'll go check out." With that, Richie hobbled down the hallway, disappearing into the darkness.
Maryse spun on her heel ran back into her room, taking a seat upon the bed. She slipped her running shoes on, grabbed her bag, and, last but not least, picked up her beretta, which she had placed on the beside table. Slipping the gun into her waistband, she left her room and rushed down the hall toward Richie's. She had not heard the first scream, but she had certainly heard the second, and it had chilled her to the bone. She was becoming anxious; she had to know what it was.
