Having his hair pulled was an absolute no-no. Jakob had some kinks but hair pulling was not one of them. As Abel pulled he tried his best to get free. The man had an iron grip. Jakob whimpered softly and just as quickly as he was grabbed he was released. He didn't know why nor did he ask. He also would not show any thanks.
The finger shoved inside him felt uncomfortable, he wasn't used to being fingered dry nor did he ever want to become accustomed to such a thing. Jakob soon spoke again, accusing him of spying on them. It was a petty accusation, but in the moment felt relevant enough to throw out there. Behind him Abel was quick a moment. When the man spoke again, his words were harsh and he spoke of noticing his friends' disappearance. Still, he saw no reason to explain why or how both he and Kieran had come to be together. If Kieran wanted to tell it, that was his business. But he was convinced that Abel would never understand. He would first need to learn to feel something in that dead heart of his before he could try to understand them.
As the man finished speaking, he was then released altogether. Jakob gripped at the counter to keep his balance. He didn't spare Abel any glances or glares. Instead he pulled up his boxers and walked out of the kitchen. Heading upstairs, he went into Kieran's room and shut the door behind him. Jakob picked up his phone from the nightstand and pulled up his messages. Tapping Kieran's name, he sent yet another message he knew would go unread. When are you coming home? I miss you. Setting the device aside, he then crawled up on the bed and laid on his side staring at the empty sheets.

Kieran knew that he hadn’t had much contact with Miguel. He wasn’t doing this to punish him. Kieran was merely trying to process everything by himself. He hadn’t even let Abel help him. Kieran didn’t want Miguel to help him. He didn’t want to have to answer questions, that he didn’t want to answer. Kieran worried if he ever told Miguel about his childhood, then he would probably think of him in disgust. He had never told anyone, the only people who knew were now dead or either willing to keep a secret.
Lying there, Kieran received another text. He grabbed his phone seeing it was from Miguel again. Kieran smiled lightly as he lay there in his hotel room. He wished Miguel was here, at least then he’d be able to have some sort of comfort. Well I’ll be home soon, then I can kiss you all over. He texted, wishing that he could leave. Tomorrow was his mother’s memorial service, and then he could head home; maybe early even.
After knocking on the door to Kieran’s room, Abel went back downstairs. He entered the kitchen, as he set out the food. It wasn’t long before he was joined by Miguel, whom he could sense was still mad at him. Abel didn’t mind after all it was easier to just be silent than to argue again. Boxes of food was set on the counter. He moved to grab plates and spoons for the boxes. Abel handed off a plate to Miguel, as he moved to grab the silver from the drawer nearing the sink. He waited for Miguel to grab his own food, but he would move onto his own.

Handing off the plate to Miguel, Abel waited. He was in no hurry to get his food. Abel stood watching as Miguel went about gathering his food, putting it on his plate. Once Miguel was finished, he took what was left over of the rice and chicken, and portioned it on his plate. He set his plate down, as he grabbed a cup from the cabinet. Abel poured himself from the tea the fridge. He didn’t know what Miguel would want, so he grabbed a bottle of water. Abel handed it off to Miguel, before taking his plate and cup to the dining room. He wasn’t sure if Miguel would join him. Miguel was more than welcome to pout in the kitchen by himself. Abel took a seat at the table, as he set his plate and cup down. He went about started on his food, as he sat there.

If Miguel wanted something besides water, he was more than welcome to get it himself. Abel was not about to cater to his every need. He was being civil by keeping his mouth shut. Abel wasn’t bothered by Miguel being a brat. He didn’t have to feed him, yet he was. Abel could have likely kicked him out of his, but he didn’t. He was growing tired of tolerating Miguel’s behavior. Abel didn’t see how Kieran put up with it. Then again, Miguel was similar to him, causing them to both bump heads.
It wasn’t long before Miguel joined him in the dining room. Abel glanced up from his food, to see he was still being stubborn, but not enough to keep away. He continued to eat his food in silence. Abel saw no reason to speak to Miguel, unless spoken it. It was better to just be quiet, after all he didn’t want to fight at the moment. If he did, it was likely to end up with his fists, not his mouth.

Indeed he was lonely. Outside of Kieran he didn't have too many people he liked to spend time with. Most of his family were back home in their respective countries, he didn't really keep friends, and he certainly wasn't close to anyone he worked with. Out of all the people he knew, he was the closest to Kieran. These past two months had been hard for him. He wanted more than just a text message or two. He wanted to hug him and sleep beside him. He missed his warmth, his teasing nature, and gentle embrace. He knew these circumstances couldn't be helped. It wasn't as though Kieran was purposely avoiding him. Still, he pined for him.
Jakob continued to eat his food in silence. He could feel Abel watching him closely, but said nothing about it. The man said it himself, this was his house. He could do whatever he pleased. He didn't mind the silence between them. After such an outburst, what else could they say? If anything, they seemed to have both gotten some frustrations out of their system. That's what he was telling himself at least. Deep down he was pretty sure Abel hated him, and who could blame him.
Moving on to his soup, he took a small spoonful finding it to be quite delicious. With each bite Jakob felt a little better. Not great, but not as pissy. Dipping his spoon into the container again he fished out more cabbage as well as a fat dumpling. Slurping up the broth he popped the dumpling into his mouth as continued to eat. Still feeling the man's eyes upon him, he glanced his way. "Do you want some?" he asked after swallowing, moving the soup container a little closer towards the man.
