Quote: It was yet another mindless afternoon as Memai strolled down idly down the sidewalk, humming a tune that had just recently resurfaced itself in her thoughts. The day seemed fairly normal, at least she wouldn't have to worry about some crazed soldier following her or having a tracking device clung to her shirt.
Just as she was about to round a corner, something caught her attention from the corner of her ruby eyes. There, in a forgotten corner, was a rotten old cardboard box, written on one of the sides was 'Love me'. Curiousity got the best of the youth; she walked over to the box, her boots clipping and clapping against the ground as she made her way.
Memai stared at the box for a moment as she crouched down, was she really doing the right thing?
"What if it's a bomb?" she asked herself, though, if she were to use such logic on AD or Lang, she knew full well she would be embarassed. She shook her head violently, perhaps it was time for her to take a chance.
She opened the box with nervous, unsure hands, and to her surprise it wasn't something of malicious intentions, but rather...
"AWWW! You're so cute!!" she squealed in delight. There quivering with fear, was a fluffly, pink puppy.
"Aww~ Why're you pink?" Memai picked the animal up, she felt the small creature in her tiny hands tremble, "Oh forget that! I'm taking you home!"
"Oh AD! Please, can I please keep him? I promise to clean him, and walk him, and teach him how to handle weapons! PLEASE!!"
AD rolled her eyes for the upteenth time, the girl had been pestering her ever since she brought the puppy home, "Do me a favour though..."
"What?"
"Can you please explain to me why the hell that puppy's pink?"
"Uhm..." Memai looked at the said animal from all angles and sides, as if it would find her the answer, "I dunno~"
AD sighed with frustration, "Go...go ask Lang! Or Akahoshi...or someone! Just don't ask Nyome!"
A wide, child-like grin grew on Memai's face, "OOH! THANK YOU!" She glanced at the puppy in her arms, who only returned the gentle look with a friendly expression and a small bark, "Come on Koji!"
And with that Memai ran off down the hallway, calling out to her other comrades. AD massaged her temples lightly, shaking her head ever so slightly, "Kids..."
