Lang - Well, we all know I have the attention span of a caffienated rodent, but besides that... I'm pretty much having the same problems with the line tool as I am with the pen tool - a really choppy angular line, instead of a smooth, continuous line. I'm beginning to see the logic behind the pen tool, but there's no way I could stand using it on an entire picture. (Ie. Draw line. Alter into curve. Delete parts of curve I don't want. Repeat 297839473 more times.) What's the difference between the pen and line tools?

Edit: Hmm. Apparently if I get really a**l retentive and make a million little points for the line tool, it actually kind of looks normal. Huzzah. ninja

Oh! A friend told me this, so I take no credit for the initial thought... but I ralized that sometimes the line tool can make the lines look a little edgy when you resize, so you can make a duplicate line art layer, set it to 'multiply' and apply a blur to it.
1-2% would do, though you might have to adjust the opacity on one of the layers if you think the extra layer makes your lines look too dark.
(Unless you use lighter colors for your lines, in which case the extra layer doesn't do much damage.)
