Medications... which ones are you one?

thought it interesting to see what different meds people used, and what combinations also. some work better w/ some people, and not so well w/ others (i know what thats like).

i'm on Tegretol XR (carbamazepine), Depakote ER (valproate semisodium), and Lyrica (pregabalin)

Depakote ER.

I've been on plain ol' Depakote, the liquid depakote, and plain generic valproic acid (not at the same time).

In the past i have been on just depakote, lots and lots of depakote. it didnt work out to well.

Currently i am on Zonegran, and Lamictal, and since i have switched over i have been doing alot better.

Depakote, since it's used to treat bipolar disorder as well. Works pretty well for me.

Lamictal is also used to treat bipolar disorder... I wonder how they work for both. On the Lamictal website it says it is unknown why it works for bipolar.

i have been on Tegratol, Clanazopin(not sure if thats spelt right), Depakote and now am on Zonegran and Lamictal. I also take prescribed Folic Acid

Lamictal is also used to treat bipolar disorder... I wonder how they work for both. On the Lamictal website it says it is unknown why it works for bipolar.

It's really scary how many medications for mental health are used even though doctors have no idea how they actually work. sweatdrop And yeah, it's interesting that two common drugs for bipolar disorder also treat epilepsy.

I wonder if bipolar disorder is more common among those that have epilepsy? question
