This is a topic on which there are a lot of different opinions, so I wanted to see what everyone here thought about it.

What kind of protocol do you expect your subs to follow?

What sort of protocols do you expect to have to follow?

Everyone: Do you have anything else to talk about regarding protocol? Do you like or dislike high protocol? Why?

Here is one definition of the word according to Webster's:

3 a: a code prescribing strict adherence to correct etiquette and precedence (as in diplomatic exchange and in the military services) b: a set of conventions governing the treatment and especially the formatting of data in an electronic communications system c: convention

So, protocol would be the set of rules and conventions your boy would follow. Some Dommes are high protocol Dommes and expect their subs to walk on eggshells at all times. Different Dommes expect different things. That's why I was wondering what everybody expects or has to follow and what they thought about strict vs. low protocol.

i have a protocol for avatar appearance and for in general

apppearance is pn my journla but its basically on your knees unless given permssion nad half naked for males and matches bra and skirt set for females

You may have protocols, but in the end will the sub listen to them? Online you can tell them to do something, in the end they could be sitting on there bed during the time. Cams can be looped now easy, as well as most subs look to Dom/Dommes to get out of the parents roof. A lot of teenagers keep saying this is what they want in the end, the want an easy booty call really. If that is what everyone seeks walk away. As for mine, be respectful, treat me well, and always be there to cheer me up from work, when I get home. So far the sub I have has done that in my home thust far.

I think that is a very negative thing to say. I see my slaves on web cam if not in real life and they are on their knees. Just because you may have trouble on it does not mean you should assume that every one else does.

Things change over time as you both work and pay bills. Things will go to vanilla for abit before picking back up. Also I have been a mistress for over 30 years so little one I know what i'm talking about. As to you submule is there anything else you need answered?

I would appreciate it, though, if you made a thread or two about what you have learned in your experience or maybe something about an issue or interest we could discuss. When I think protocol, I think of the old school Leather community and their protocols. I personally could never do that, or rather don't think I'd want to.

In my personal life I find I dont really need strict protocol, (call me lazy) but we know our roles and it naturally overflows into real life very nicely.
I suppose too it depends on the relationship between domme and sub, if they are lovers or not.

I also think sometimes we may have protocol and not even know that is what it is.
