Hope Inc. : The Cryogenics Project

All the way on the other side of the known universe, possibly the multiverse, sits Hope Inc.'s main base, possibly the biggest building on this side of the universe. At the top sits The Board Of Divinity, constantly sending out their orders, unusual or otherwise, they sit at a level above any laws. They even have their own police force: The Hope Enforcers, whose job is more of a tyrannical one than a peace-keeping one. Standing above The Enforcers are a special group consisting of very unique persons, they are The Hope Elite Guard. The Elite Guard's job consists of dissolving any threat to Hope Inc. in the form of political battle or galactic war. These individuals are the core of Hope Inc. making sure they can work in "peace". Although most everyone despises Hope Inc., a job working for them is long sought after. Also there are Field Agents which usually go do peace-keeping missions for Hope-Inc. The Field Agents are actually respected and welcome in most places because they are kind and generous. Hope Inc allows them to do what they wish if their heart tells them it's the right thing to do.

Recently a deadly enemy has emerged that has actually made Hope Inc wary. That enemy is The Corrupt. A race of gray beings, whose terrible ability is corrupt anything it comes into contact with. While terrifying by itself the Corrupt need not actually come into physical contact with a creature. There seems to be some proximity effect. If they get close enough to a person, they corrupt them. After a decade the Corrupt had rapidly taken over entire planets, never seeming to stop.

Then news came to Hope Inc. that their were a few individuals that seemed to get in close contact with the corrupted, even wounded by the corrupted, and had not been corrupted. These Hope Inc. gathered from all corners of the universe for what they would call the Cryogenics Project. The Cryogenics Project lets Hope Inc study them in a frozen state, a state of no time, to see how they were able to avoid the corruption.

This is where the story begins, when the patients wake out of their 10 year sleep.
