The United States Army is the branch of the United States armed forces responsible for land-based military operations. It is the largest and oldest established branch of the U.S. military and is one of seven uniformed services.
The vast majority of the roleplay revolves around the Army and it's 6th Armored Division. Most likely if you're planning to be a soldier you will be automatically placed in the Army unless if you convince us otherwise. Very few will be from other branches of the military.

The United States Navy (USN) is the sea branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. It is one of the seven uniformed services of the United States. As of 31 December 2008, the U.S. Navy had about 331,682 personnel on active duty and 124,000 in the Navy Reserve. It operates 283 ships in active service and more than 3,700 aircraft.
Very few members of this roleplay will play as a Navy soldier. The few will be either downed Navy pilots and Corpsmen for the Marines.

The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the U.S. armed forces and one of the American uniformed services. Initially part of the United States Army, the USAF was formed as a separate branch of the military on 18 September 1947. It is the most recent branch of the U.S. military to be formed. Over the years the United States Air Force has come down from the skies and began to use their own Air Men in the field.
The few members of this roleplay to be members of the Air Force will be primarily downed pilots unless stated otherwise.

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is a branch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for providing force projection from the sea, using the mobility of the U.S. Navy to rapidly deliver combined-arms task forces. It is one of seven uniformed services of the U.S. In the civilian leadership structure of the United States military, the Marine Corps is a component of the Department of the Navy, but in the military leadership structure it is a separate branch, while often working closely with US Naval forces for training, transportation, and logistic purposes.
At the moment very few members of the roleplay will be able to be part of the Marines.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the primary unit in the United States Department of Justice, serving as both a federal criminal investigative body and an internal intelligence agency. The FBI has investigative jurisdiction over violations of more than 200 categories of federal crime. Its motto is "Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity," corresponding to the "FBI" initialism.
At the moment there will be no members of this roleplay playing as a member of the FBI. Only the occasional NPC.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of seven uniformed services. It is unique among the military branches in that it has a maritime law enforcement mission (with jurisdiction both domestically and in international waters) and a federal regulatory agency mission as part of its mission set. It operates under the Department of Homeland Security during peacetime, and can be transferred to the Department of the Navy by the President or Congress during a time of war.
At the moment no members of the roleplay will be able to be part of the Coast Guard.

The Ohio Army National Guard is a part of the United States National Guard and a reserve component of the United States Army. It is also a component of the organized militia of the state of Ohio, which also includes the Ohio Naval Militia, the Ohio Military Reserve and the Ohio Air National Guard. The Ohio Army National Guard consists of a variety of combat, combat support and combat service support units. As of September 2006, its end strength exceeded 10,800 soldiers. Its headquarters is the Beightler Armory in Columbus, Ohio. Many units conduct Annual Training at Camp Grayling, Michigan.
Members of this roleplay may request to be members of the Ohio National Guard. Yet remember that many National Guard members will most likely be less equipped under trained from other members of the armed forces.
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a civilian intelligence agency of the United States government. It is the successor of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) formed, during World War II, to coordinate espionage activities between the branches of the US military services. The National Security Act of 1947 established the CIA, affording it "no police or law enforcement functions, either at home or abroad." Today, the CIA's primary function is collecting, and analyzing information about foreign governments, corporations, and individuals which it uses to advise public policymakers. The agency conducts covert operations, paramilitary actions and exerts foreign political influence through its Special Activities Division.
For now the only members belonging to the CIA in this roleplay will be specifically selected members and NPCs.

» Personality: War is bitter-sweet. You discover yourself through the fear, the turmoil, and through the pain that eats away at your visage. Like acid it peels away at the skin leaving the inside for you to stare at. To look upon the disgusting yet majestic structure that is you. When Winter joined the force when he was eighteen he was a different; very different. As years passed the military was like a chipping block striking away at Winter's bullshit visage.
What was left then? It was no Roman god that was for sure. What was left was a skeleton. A skeleton with the urge to... Well, I won't bullshit you on this one. War lost this round with this man. Winter cares for his fellow soldiers than anything else and he is willing to bash his head against authorities if their decision compromises the available safety he could get for his men. Since earning his Master Sergeant Rank in 1998 Winter has yet to accept any of the twenty-two promotions handed to him. Six times he vouched to be drummed out of the corps if he was forced the promotion. He believes in staying with his men and in the field where his expertise can be put to work. He wants to stay where he can do the most to keep his fellow soldiers safe and return them home.
War is a home for Winter. Without it he feels offset like a sailor away from his ship. Somehow, maybe to block the torture of war, he has ever stayed happy and positive and a relatively fun man to be around. He enjoys cracking jokes, sharing his political views, and furthering his endless stream of useless information and facts that are liable to come off his tongue ever so randomly. Rarely does he yell but there is something in his eyes and in his ever so calm voice that is as a hurricane.
Winter is a strong believer in fitness and he is very proud of his physical appearance. Not because his ego says he is so beautiful but because by the Army Doctors he has many more years left in the service many of them possibly in the field. Winter doesn't come off as some old war veteran but of another young soldier who has those ever so useful smarts. Yet there is much more to Winter than meets the eye.

» Equipment: Winter wears a MOLLE Condor plate carrier carrying level IV ballistic plating. Soldiers too often skimp on their gear, Winter hasn't and through his military career he has continually financed for his own lighter and more protective gear. On the front of his MOLLE chest rig Winter carries only a few pouches holding a compass, maps, and navigation and radio gear. On one side of the vest Winter carries a elaborate yet consolidated first aid kit and on the other, evening the weight, he carries his gas mask pouch. On the back of the vest he carries two liters of water via hydration bladder and a small survival kit.
Above his hips coming around to his sides Winter carries twelve magazines for his Loki each in a double stack magazine holster. His sidearm, the 1911 Kimber, is hoisted on a drop down leg harness on his right leg. On this small MOLLE rig he carries his combat knife and Surfire flashlight. Opposite Winter carries four extra magazines for his sidearm and a cleaning kit for both his weapons.
