Desired Squadron: Ra Flight
Desired Position: Commanding Officer
RP Sample of Aerial Combat:

A gentle click sounded from within the cockpit as Felix fastened the five-way, before pulling on the fastenings, making sure they were both tight, and secure. The seat – whilst hugging his body – wouldn’t keep his body in position effectively without it. Hands running over the dashboard in front of him, Felix engaged the multi-purpose avionics, flight control systems and everything else the Lockheed and Martin F-22A Raptor required to stay airborne before signalling to the Shooter that he was ready.

After receiving a signal back, Felix pushed up two red flaps before pushing down two sprung switches. A loud whine erupted from behind him, turbines catching speed with help of electric motors before the first cough of ignition was both heard, and felt through the entire cockpit. Several more erupted within the dual turbofan engines located behind him before becoming fully operational, jetting a several-second burst of white smoke before clearing, the rumble of the F-22A’s engines felt both in, and outside of the cockpit. Giving the engines a little more fuel, Felix released the wheel breaks before taxiing via the shooter’s directions, before jamming on the breaks and throttling back once in position.

Watching one of the Shooters still, the signal was given to attach the catapult to the aircraft, before the operator tensioned the catapult for Felix’s F-22A. Checking his payload of six AMRAAM’s and two Sidewinder’s on the internal bays, and four Python 5 AAM’s taking advantage of the four wing-mounted hard points, Felix smiled.

”Bridge to Hawk one, be advised, possible hostile aircraft inbound. Move to intercept before carrying on to mainland, over.” Buzzed Felix’s radio, the voice relatively lacking static from this range.

”Copy that Bridge, shall move to intercept once airborne, out.” Felix replied into his headset, before sighing to himself. If I get off the runway in one piece.. He thought to himself.

Soon receiving a signal from the Shooter, Felix forced the throttle forward, engaged the after burners before releasing the brake. The Th-wack! of the catapult catching tension rang out through the cockpit before the F-22A was flung forward to airspeed in seconds, soon becoming airborne.

Once in the air, Felix banked the aircraft around sharply before throttling back, keeping the aircraft under the sound barrier. Supercruise capable or not, he’d rather not go colliding into the oncoming aircraft at any high speed...

It didn’t take long before her early-warning signals flashed and sounded, causing Felix to swear under his breath.
”Hawk one to Bridge, aircraft is hostile. Moving to intercept, Fox Two.” Felix spoke over the radios, before selecting the first two python 5’s on the tip of either wing to fire, and then doing so. The BVR, LOAL all aspect missiles dropped from the hard-points before the motors fired up, rocketing the missiles forward at tremendous speed. The aircraft, soon coming into view, fired a shot of flares – the Python missiles choosing them over him and curving off into the distance.

The enemy F-16 soon shot past, closely followed by a set of Felix’s second set of AAM’s, that dropped from their hard points before peeling off behind him. Banking to follow him, Felix activated his after-burners before jetting after the F-16, forced back into his seat moments before the roar of breaking sound passed his ears.
Warning lights and sirens soon joined the activity within the cockpit, causing Felix to fire his flares before pulling up , going vertical, soon levelling out once the fire-warning sirens silenced. The F-16, however, had banked around, following Felix’s aircraft – or more, heading for it.

”Aircraft still active.” Felix informed over radio before activating a lock on the aircraft, hoping he had time... The rapid beeping of a positive lock soon erupted within the cockpit, followed by the early warning systems. ”Positive lock, Fox two!” Felix barked, before selecting both his Sidewider missiles and firing them. Bomb bay doors opening for less than a second, the missiles were ejected before their motors kicked in, the rockets threatening to tip upward moments before the control systems fell open, guiding the rocket on course. Banking left, Felix watched the active lock disappear before a shower of sparks and flames licked the view from his hatch.

Watching in hope, Felix grinned to himself as he watched the carcass of an F-16 Fighting Falcon hit the waters below, before disappearing from view. ”Hawk one to Bridge, confirmed kill. Permission to land to re-arm and re-fuel before heading off, over.” Felix spoke over the radio, pointing the aircraft in the right direction before permission was given.

”Permission granted Hawk One. We’ll see you on deck. Out.” Came the reply, causing Felix to smile.

After circling once and dropping altitude, Felix reined back the throttle, dipped the flaps, opened the landing gear and lifted the nose. The satisfying squeak of rubber against metal soon whined through the cabin before the metallic clunk of metal against metal sounded, the catapult pulling the F-22 to a speedy, yet gradual stop moments after attaching to the aircraft.

Once the catapult was removed, Felix taxied off of the runway, and parked the aircraft, ready for servicing.

Name: Keith Riley
Desired Squadron: Ra Flight
Desired Jet: Anubis F-22A Raptor
RP Sample of Aerial Combat:

Keith stared off into the light of the morning, the beams of silver lighting through the clouds fell upon the dash of his Raptor, reflecting off the screens and instruments. His hand lightly rested on the controls as he watched the dawn pass. His headset hissed and the voice of reason reoccupied his mind.

"Talon Raptor, this is control. You are approaching the drop point, do you have visual conformation of the target? Over."
Yeah, yeah.. the mission. Keith turned back to the center view from his cockpit, he rested his eyes allowing them to unfocus. Gradually he could feel his gaze widen, the full potential of his perifial vision attained he suddenly became very aware of his bird's surroundings. His eyes found themselves locking on a upcoming clearing, where a dirt road vanish into the side of the mountain could be spotted through the trees. The shine of weapon caught his eyes. Anti-aircraft guns, 50cal... all in a days work.

"Control, this is Talon. I have eyes on the target, I'm gonna go low and deploy the payload. Requesting green light. Over."
Keith began to circle around in a wide arch to put the sun at his back. Once he started coming in low, he didn't want them to spot him off the back.

"Talon, this is Control, you have green light to arm and deploy the payload. Repeat, green light. Over." Grinning Keith flicked off the safety and flicked the switch to arm the Raptor's SDB , the GBU-39.

"Rodger that Control, payload is armed, I'm going in. Over."
Keith banked left bringing the plane flying low, centered on the screen was the center support of the tunnel. A structure that lead to a network of underground tunnel-ways through the mountains, connecting the military's stronghold to each hot spot with an easy safe route. These suckers had been giving the military to much of an advantage. Giving their enemies headaches.. which was good. Because that was when Pallas was brought in. Which meant another paycheck for Keith. The screen's indicator flashed green and Keith's thumb slapped down on launch. The screen flashed, Weapon Deployed, and Keith pulled up sharply banking left to avoid getting to close to the mountain cliff-side. He made a quick loop to give himself a visual of the devastation. Rubble and dust remained of the tunnel-way. What would have supported tanks and other support vehicles.. wouldn't have supported a mouse. The entire opening had been sealed off, the bricks and support of the tunnel had collapsed and then in turn given way to the rubble of the mountain. The anti-aircraft hadn't even known what hit them, one moment a quiet day, taking a shift on the guard watching the sky. The next, Armageddon. The tunnel gone and the mountain coming down all around them. The 250 lb bomb's explosion force magnified by the small tunnel, the Raptor's stealth... They hadn't stood a chance.

"Control this is Talon, I have a visual conformation on the target, yeah that suckers done. I'll see you on the Aruleius. Over."

"Talon this is Control, we are receiving your conformation. Mission complete, good work, come home Talon. Over."
Talon banked the plain turning towards home.

"Rodger that Control."

Talon:

1. Since you are probably quite a ways from a control tower, I think it'd be much more realistic if you were radioing an AWACS instead. The range of a carrier control tower's radio goes only so far.

2. At the start, you said Control referred to you as Talon Raptor, which is unrealistic for them to say. Since this is just an RP Sample, it's OK to have a different call-sign than the one you are asking for, but keep consistent when using it instead of saying your Talon Raptor, then later just Talon.

3. The Raptor IS a stealth-based multi-role fighter jet, but at low altitude, it's almost impossible to not be detected by something. The enemy would have put up a radar station somewhere in that flight path to stop such an attack from happening.

Now that all of the negative stuff is out of the way, I'd like to inform you that your application was very literate, and was nearly void of grammatical errors. As soon as a Crew member is online, I'll try to get them to update the roster so you're included.
