"And it's so easy when you're evil
This is the life, you see
The Devil tips his hat to me..."

Lian paused his writing as he heard someone clearing their throat and turned, noticing it was once again his most outspoken student. He chuckled and shook his head before he walked to her desk once more. "Well, well, the universe seems to be against you today, doesn't it my dear?" He held out a binder for her in his hands. "As this school is cheap as dirt when it comes to supplies, use my own notebooks. They're all labeled so whenever we change topics you'll need to keep up on your own. I tend to talk without leniancy so be quick." The binder was filled with several different notebooks of varying topics written on the front. "Careful not to smudge the pages, I tend to write in pencil."

He turned from her and began to outline the basic expectations of the different sorts of buyers you could encounter. He wasn't sure why he had handed her his personal books. He could have just made her share with someone else. He shook his head. Maybe I should dedicate a book to myself someday. He chuckled at the thought before turning to face her again. "Oh, and by all means if there's something we mention in class I haven't written down already, jot it down wherever makes sense, got it?" He turned to the rest of the class. "So what sort of owner are you expecting to come and wisk you away?"

And I do it all for free
Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need"

She blinked a couple of times, his comment that all attention on her, she smirked at first, then it disappeared as he handed her his books, she looked down at them and quickly flipped through, then looked up back at him, she noticed the tattoo on his face and began to wonder about it, she also got a better look at his eyes. Kina pushed her glasses up as she watched him walk off, she looked down and gently ran her fingers over the pretty tabs of different notes and subjects, she flipped the tab that had 'maid' in pretty cursive written on it, she was lucky she could read handwriting, she skimmed through taking in important notes, she looked up as he asked his question to the 'class'. Kina glanced up towards the others and saw a shy hand go up, "Someone who has a lot of money.", then another, "Someone who is caring.", Kina's hand twitched but it didn't raise. Kina began to daydream again, this time about being with someone, he had a warm aura about him and she felt as if she was safe, she was walking away in his arms as she looked behind her to see the abandoned school disappearing into the distance, a smile appeared on Kina's face.
"Someone who is professional but at the same time loving, you want the person to take care of you by feeding you probably letting you bathe daily, given fresh clothing everyday along with a nice cozy bed to sleep in. But at the same time to have you doing your job, possibly paying you with the caring, to let you do what you were bought for and to hopefully enjoy what you are doing, you want to feel free and safe around this person, whoever it may be .." Hey eyes narrowed as she wished and hoped that she would go to someone who was like that, she didn't want to end up with some pervert or just someone who was abusive, reminded of her wound she felt the pain in the back of her neck, she grabbed all of her hair and placed it over one of her shoulders, she felt it again now that it was more exposed and knew it was bruised, 'So it still hasn't healed .. hmph.' She thought as she blankly stared at the 'teachers' notes.
She suddenly realized that she didn't raise her hand, she bit her lip and nervously looked up to him, she was confused on how her feelings were, he wasn't exactly nice but he had that feeling about him, which was why she was confused. He was something but then he wasn't, whatever it was made the blood rush to Kina's face lightly, she bowed her head, "Sorry, please continue." She pleaded, now trying to keep attention to the board behind him.

"Eeny Meeny Miney Mo, I don't wanna let you go,
Eeny Meeny Miney Mo, I'm the one who loved you so .."

"They call her
Bulldozer speech demon
Without distractions of hope,
She makes the depression business
Look surprisingly novel...."

Lian listened to the various replies his students gave, some apparently more attracted to the physical belongings some slaves earned while others wanted some emotional attachments to their masters. He raised his brow when Kina spoke out of turn again, and he walked to her desk and took the small, separate notebook with her name on the cover and flipped to the newest section. Subject Frost seems to get by the day with the hopes of a knight in shining armor so to speak coming to buy her, but she holds no delusions that he will definitely come. Seems to understand the reality of her situation but still gives way to the possibility that her dreams may be realized. Sufficient but thoughtful. Self-reliant but delicate in more guarded parts of her psyche. Well grounded in the real world despite what her daydreaming would suggest. Quite willing to work, unlike the other masses who entertain fantasies of being treated like a princess no matter who buys them. Price could easily be doubled or more, background check on possible buyers warranted. Controlling, narcissistic patrons would return her with bruises, possibly broken bones or organ damage, and perhaps complaints on her daydreaming. Go more subtle. End of subject note. "Hand, dear." He put the notebook back and tapped it. "Don't read that one, it would compromise your behaviors. Once I'm satisfied with the materials you can, not before." He stepped back and looked to the rest of the class. "And as for the girl who said 'has a lot of money', you'd do well to bite your tongue before so much as thinking that again." He chuckled as he crossed his arms. "The more money they have, the more slaves they buy, and the more likely you'll slip into the crowd and become expendable, which can become deadly if you age. If they can afford a new slave every year, what are the odds that they'll keep you? You could be given as a gift, as payment on a debt or bribe, or passed along as a toy for his guests or male workers to play with. Owners with a lot of money are dangerous, though ones who are poor can be more so." He paused before returning to his initial list of potential buyers, pointing to a certain one. "Pimps. You would be given to many people of all sorts of twisted wants, needs, and mentalities. Used, beaten, and ultimately abandoned once you lose your appeal. Believe me, it dosn't take long for a trick to lose it's luster."
He turned to face the students fully. "So what you want is a happy medium, rich enough to easily provide, but poor enough so you won't be cast out at your first wrinkle or blemish." He nodded to the second one who spoke. "Somene who is caring, obviously there is no downside to that. If they truly do care, though. You'd do well to learn false sympathy from genuine concern. They're all caring at first, you never know if it's true until you're with them for a while." He indicted Kina with his hand. "And this one seems to have a rather specific ideal for a master or owner or whatever they call themselves, but that's good. The more specific your wants are, the easier you'll catch when someone doesn't fit your type." He closed his eyes for a minute and smiled, wondering if she'd thought of someone like that before she was taken. He opened his eyes. "What she wants is what all of you should want. I know most of you are thinking expensive jewels, long vacations, and more love than you know what to do with. Be practical." He raised a brow at the suddenly uncomfortable group. "They're here to get what they want, not what you want. Do they walk in the door thinking 'this one should have all the money in the world'? No. They think 'which one will serve my needs and desires best'. They want hard workers and pretty faces who'll smile and take what they're given." He looked directly at Kina, meeting her eyes. "Don't be mistaken, there are plenty of bleeding hearts wanting a life companion to love and cherish. You'd best be served to prepare for anything or anyone, but it's not wrong to want more. Just be willing to leave it all at the door when you're purchased, or you're life will be brief, painful, and unfulfilled." He paused. "Consider it a fair warning."

She licked her lips again, tasting the iron from her dried blood, she took her hands from the book and let him put the book back, she nodded and took note of his order. Kina felt more relaxed around him, they way he talked and moved about, probably because he wasn't like her regular teachers, and she liked this. She crossed her arms with sort of a smirk on her face as he told the others what was wrong with their answers, how he praised that hers was the reasonable answer, she felt like she was on top. She pushed up her glasses again, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, her smile disappeared as he began to talk about how everyone just wanted and never really needed, she let out a tiring sigh and wondered about the time again, all this talking passed time hopefully. She froze when he met her eyes, she felt as if her heart skipped a beat, she broke the eye contact and looked to the black board and concentrated on the cursive, taking her mind off of what just happened to her body now, 'Was it .. a reaction ?' Kina pondered, she began to play with her worn down scarf. She glanced back to him and he was talking again, she nodded, now it was obvious he knew his stuff. Kina remembered the notes in front of her, forgetting for a moment and skimmed through the different subjects again, this time taking in more details of the notes, she read words she never read before and tried to figure them out, getting sucked into her personal studying as the teacher was on about a lecture.

Could be wrong, could be wrong, this is out of control,
Could be wrong, could be wrong ..
Love is a Resistance."

"But what about love, sir?" He glanced at the student and smiled. "Love is all about attitude, fulfilling deeper needs in others than they know they had." He nodded and put down the chalk he was writing with, leaning against a clean part of the board. "It's not something you can teach or learn, really. I can tell you what it is, what it means, and how to display it properly, but I can't teach you how or why to feel it. Believe me, it's been tried." "But what about things like stockholm syndrome?" He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "For all of you it would be best to think of that as love, yes. In fact for many of you it's the closest to it you'll actually feel without repercussions. In reality though, it's the brains way of turning a hopeless situation into a hopeful one. A captor becomes a friend or lover or even parent, torture starts to either make sense or feel good. If it didn't happen, many would go mad." He watched Kina looking through his books and smiled softly. "Though one thing to remember is our baser instincts tend to rule us. Such as the belief that people want and love what they can't have. It's a way of asserting dominance into our own lives."
He raised a brow at the first person to bring up the subject and looked at her seriously. "Many slaves find other slaves, maids, workers, or even children of masters to have forbidden romance with. That can end in the worst of ways for you, so I suggest you all guard your hearts well." He laughed. "Or don't get caught."

Kina sighed, clasping her hands together nicely, since he was going on about the section she pulled on one of the tabs and found the section, she skimmed through as usual, taking in anything that might be important. Kina would glance up once in a while to meet with his eyes, she didn't smile though for some reason. The one word was bugging her because she couldn't pronounce it. 'Infatuation' She saw the letters, but couldn't make it out for some reason.
Kina bit her lip and began to try and sound it our, "In .. faa .. Infah ... tu .. chu .." She sighed and bit the tip of her thumb out of frustration, she heard him lecturing in the back of her mind, but she wasn't really listening, Kina had a love hate relationship with stuff like this, wether it be a hand puzzle, english word, a math problem, desiphering (sp) riddles, she also liked to do it independantly which was why she usually got frustrated.

Lian noticed Kina's attention pull from the subject, well sort of. She seemed to be trying hard to figure out how to say something he'd written down. He smiled and shook his head, oddly enough not angry at all that she wasn't paying strict attention to his lecture. "Infatuation, sweetheart." He glanced at his watch. My, how the time just flies. Class would be ending in ten or fifteen minutes, give or take since his watch could be slower or faster than the school clock on any given day. "Well I suppose we can all pick this back up tomorrow, assuming your usual teacher is still indisposed." He glanced around the room. "You can talk amongst yourselves, but don't get too loud or rowdy or there will be consequences."

'Hmmm ...' She snapped her head up as soon as he spoke to her. She clenched her fists together in defeat, she tried to hard not to sneer at him so she looked down and scrunched her face up. She opened one eye to look and see if he was still looking, he wasn't. She wiped her eyes from whatever tired-ness was left and closed the book as he announced some sort of break before the crappy bell went off, she got up and readjusted her skirt, dusting it off as she walked up to the desk. Kina plastered what hoped to be a friendly smile on her face and offered the book to him, "Thank you .. Sensei." She bowed her head, Wow, she'd never callen any of these dirtbag teachers sensei before.

-Flash back time, wheeeeeeee.-

Kina was breathing heavily, all she could taste was the moist warm iron of her blood coming from her mouth. She spat onto the cement floor and wiped off her chin, not like it would make a difference though. She sat up and looked to the tall dark figure, "This time, I want you to say it right." The voice had spoken to her in a bold manner, he threatened her with him tapping the peice of metal in his hands. She clenched her teeth together hard and tried to sit up properly, it was hard though with her busted shin. Kina was not the one to cry so she just groaned a lot, with the menacing laugh discouraging her Kina hiffed out her chest and looked into the darkness where the voice was coming from, "Arigatou, Sir .. For letting me work under you as your low .. as your low .. " She bit her lip, she flinched and braced for the hard hit of the metal rod as the footsteps approached. Next thing she knew was that she was now laying in a pool of her own blood, she couldn't breathe and she was face down, she couldn't move and everytime she gasped she was choking on her own blood ..

-Flashback over-

Kina flinched back to reality, for some reason the back of her neck began to burn, her hands began to shake and she felt her tears were filling her eyes up. She bit down on her lip again and placed the notes on the desk, rushing out into the hallway she just stopped there, knowing there was nowhere to run. She stood there and sniffled, rubbing her eyes, the throbbing of her neck.

((Finally. x.x I am. Epically. Sorry.))

Lian took the book back and nodded, putting it on his desk. He was surprised to hear her say sensei, but he supposed that was as helpful a hint as any to where she came from before she ended up here. He tilted his head in interest as she spaced out for a moment, then suddenly darted from the room. He blinked twice, it certainly wasn't the most common thing to happen in a classroom there. He stood and walked outside, closing the door behind him to discourage anyone who might try to listen. He saw she was crying and realized something of psychological significance had just occured without him noticing. He pushed his personal whining aside and stood beside her. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" He spoke softly, knowing that being a teacher probably didn't earn him an inkling of trust, in fact probably had him far on the opposite side of that scale. He pulled out his recently used and recovered handkerchief again and handed it to her. "...You may as well keep it this time." He smiled slightly. "Want to talk about it with me?" He paused a beat, remembering how teachers work here. "It's not an order nor will you be reprimanded for whatever answer or explaination you give. Just an offer."

Kina wiped her tears away with her sleeves, taking off her glasses, she felt someone standing behind her so she made sure her hair was covering the wound. She turned around slowly, trying to recover her stature, she looked up at the tall figure and looked down at his hand, which was carrying a handkerchief, she sniffled and took it nodding a thanks. Wiping her eyes again she shook her head slowly, No thank you .. it was just an overwhelming thought." She took in a small sigh, and looked at the hankerchief, "Sorry if I caused a disturbance .." Kina then closed her eyes and held back the tears, it would go away in a bit. She put on her glasses and put the hankerchief in her pocket just in case, she smiled weakly up to him, she felt a small sense of freedom with him, so without really asking, she slowly walked by him back into the classroom, with about another five minutes to go she just went and sat back down at her desk and folded her arms over the desk, beginning to daydream again.

"I tried to kill my pain;
But only brought more .."

Lian watched her curiously, wondering what thought could draw such a drastic effect from her. He nodded and followed her inside, thinking to himself at his desk. He continued to watch her in silence for the rest of the class. Once the bell rang his broke his silence as he addressed her. "Kina, you stay." It was a simple command, one he knew she may question but certainly wouldn't disobey. That's simply not the way things worked around here. He paused in thought as the others regarded her, probably wondering what she'd done wrong or assuming they knew why she was staying. "Are the rest of you waiting for an invitation? Go. Your other teachers are waiting, I'm sure." His voice became hard then, he didn't appreciate being watched or questioned by those he had no interest in.

Bo walked out of class, his head swimming with all the information he had to absorb from both the maid section and the slave section. "Jeez, bein' so feakin' multitalented sucks..." he muttered. But thinking back on his previous jokes in the school, Bo had to smile. He remembered the first 3 days he was there, Bo already streaked throughout the entire school twice, in human form, not werewolf form, before he was finally caught. That was a chilly day, Bo thought, laughing out loud. He remembered day 5, when he put a handfull of fire crackers in each of the teachers' meals. And they thought those sparks were just for decoration, Bo chuckled to himself. He also remembered the stuff he had to clean, afterwards, and the things they made him wear while doing it. I did such an excellent job, idiot, that they threw me into maid training, along with everything else.

Kina was about to get from her seat, she froze and her heart sunk in when he commanded her, she glanced up to him and twitched her body, she was about to leave anyways like she would have done if this guy was any other teacher, but he wasn't. Kina slowly sat down and crossed her arms, slouching slightly, she adjusted her glasses on the bridge of her nose and tried not to sneer at him. She began to silently draw imaginary circles onto the desk, she began to wonder what he was going to talk to her about, probably something about her work, or how well she is in class - that was her narcissism talking in her head of course. Kina straightened herself out and clasped her hands together as she watched the others nervously gather their things and leave. As the last student left she waited a moment to make sure they really were alone before speaking, "Yes, Sir ?" She spoke quietly.
