I got a 3DS the day it came out, because I was a bit afraid that it would magically become a huge hit and be sold out everywhere like the Wii was for the longest time. Well at least I was wrong lol. I watched a review on Mercenaries 3D before I actually went out to get it, and I think it was a bit too harsh. The only problems I've noticed is just the Duo mode from local play can be slightly buggy, and I can't stress how slightly it is. I will rarely have an instance where an enemy will just kind of disappear and reappear, but other than that it's just me not being able to do a Melee prompt when it shows up. I haven't done Duo online though so I can't really comment on that. At first I wasn't really drawn into Mercs that much since the game really holds your hand through it for the longest time, but I got into unlocking costumes, getting high ranks to unlock more stuff such as skills, etc. Leveling up skills is fun too. The skill stuff is really simple, but I find it rather addicting for the most part, though I wish there were more to unlock since I'm only missing one. You equip up to 3 skills to a character, and when you successfully complete a mission you'll get skill points that level it up to improve its effectiveness, and when it reaches level 3 it comes with a bonus ability. For the most part it's pretty easy to level them up. Not sure why people complain about the frame rate issue that will occur when an enemy is at a distance. It usually doesn't occur unless the enemy is completely out of range and just not a threat in general so I'm not tripping out over it. Controls transfer over pretty well for the most part, but it took me a few minutes to get a hang of it. Button prompts you have to press when getting grabbed though still kind of confuse me since I always forget which button is X, Y etc. Kind of hard to really take advantage of the moving while shooting, but it's really good against tougher enemies such as Executioners and whatnot since you can spam shots easier without worrying too much about getting hit. Running while reloading is great though. Game lacks levels though, and doesn't have as much of a Horde mode as I was expecting. You can only hold out against a wave of 15 enemies tops, and it's only available on two levels. The first one is relatively easy, but the second is slightly harder. Overall I think it's a good game to be released early on for the 3DS since it definitely shows off what it's capable of, and it has me really excited for Revelations.

Yeah I mean not just mercenaries but revelations too and Zelda. Who know what else they're going to come out with on 3D

MGS Meryl I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like it, but I've been visiting my brother this week and he has it, and once I started playing, I played for 2 hours straight with Pilot Chris and Casual Jill!!! biggrin I really wish a character's alternate costume came with a different loadout or at least different melee attacks, but other than that I love Pilot Chris the most so far. I've completed all the levels, but I just haven't brought myself to play as Rebecca, Krauser, Barry, or Claire for some reason. I either play as Pilot Chris, either Jill, normal HUNK, and normal Wesker.
