User ImageName: Yamashita Yori
Nickname: Ijime (いじめ, Tease)
Body's Appearance Age: 16
Actual Age: 320
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: Generally, Yori is a sadistic and cruel little girl, who finds her pleasure in the simplicities of others’ pain and discomfort whether it is in or out of battle. However, what distinguishes her less than pleasant manner of dealing with people from truly evil ones is that she does not own an innate dark side, which means that there is a slight humorous undertone to her insults and whatnot. Most people cannot understand this apparent anti-social behaviour but that only adds to her joy as it is one of her main goals never to be understood completely. When not poking fun at her colleagues, Yori can be found by her lonesome with the deck of cards, entertaining herself in some way or other. During these moments, she is usually not in a happy mood but in something that ranges from psuedo-neutral to blind with anger. Her truthfulness is at its peak as well and the snarky attitude is at its barest minimum. Finally, if she ever does fall in love or feel any form of romanticism, Yori’s behaviour is in-between the two previously stated extremes where she is kind towards the person in question and is more playful than rude towards others. Her fighting styler follows her general personality which is more talk than show. She likes to take her time with an opponent, not revealing too much about herself in the early stages of the encounter.

Biography: On 17th December, 1885, Yori made her entrance into the World of the Living. Her birth was not of any exceptional importance but that did not stop her from making a mark. A young Yori grew up with a financially stable family and supportive parents, which permitted her the chances of learning Kenjutsu and Kendo with bokken and eventually, the katana. As she made excellent prowess and matured physically, Yori began to use her solo training time for the ambitious practice of establishing her own style of swordsmanship which would be focused on the natural movements of the elements, namely water and fire in her case. She would have called it Watashi no Kokoro no Ken (私 の 心 の 剣, The Sword of my Hearts). The second noun is in its plural form instead of the former because Yori acknowledges that she does not experience emotions and feelings in the same manner that normal people do but feels that wholeness whenever she is sparring, fighting on her own or playing with a deck of cards that her parents gave her on a previous birthday.

Unfortunately, by the time of her fourteenth birthday and the last few sessions for creating Watashi no Kokoro no Ken (私 の 心 の 剣, The Sword of my Hearts), true misfortune passed over the Yamashita household at last with her last battle for that year. She had been armed with a simply bokken whereas her assailant wielded two full-fledged katanas artfully. It was easy to see who would had the upper hand but that did not stop Yori from defending herself ruthlessly to the fatal end. Upon death, the young girl found herself lying in the middle of a dirt and had to scramble out of the way immediately to avoid being rolled under a wheel. For a few minutes, her memory was not with her and her dull emeralds for eyes stared around her, the same empty stare returned to her hundred-fold. She was dead, she was sure of it and yet, here she was standing and breathing. Suddenly, her nostrils flared with remembrance of how it was that she had ended up on the other side. Saddened deeply by this turn of events, Yori began her journey of endless exploration of Soul Society. When word of the Academy reached her, that old spark of passion for battle, competition and utter supremacy engulfed her and even more so when it was made clear that she had the necessary spiritual pressure. From that point on, the old Yori was back and with a force as if she was trying to make up for lost time. She continued with her Kendo according to the instructions and even added Kido to her list of successes, needing to be the best of herself. However, the memories of her personalized sword style had not been revived with the school environment, not that she would notice in any case. She continued to push herself throughout her years there, scoring within the top belt of her class but never quite hitting the first place mark for every single class. Her competitive streak was wide but not wide enough to repeat the courses since essentially; she had not failed any of them. When the time for graduation came around, Yori began setting her sight on joining the Gotei 13 as soon as was humanly possible. There was more to learn and more people to get to know in her own special way.

Inner World Appearance: Uxiroo lives here, either above or under the water, in constant peace and coolness.

Uxiroo (ウィロー, Willow) appears to be a normal stack of cards in that she has a design on her back as well as contains fifty-two cards in all. However, that is where the normalcy of this sealed state ends for her. On each of the cards, random facts about water are stated for only her wielder to read. Upon her release, a feeling of fullness is unleashed in a circular motion from that position outward but it lasts for only for a few seconds. Uxiroo, also known as Roo-sama, has the physical appearance of a toddler which puts her at least two feet shorter than Yori. She is a very easy going yet assertive spirit. She has taken on the role of a mythical deity, namely Mizuhame. Roo deems that her responsibility is to look out for her mistress as well as to pacify her anger if it ever comes to that.

  • Shikai: It is triggered by the command, Hida (ひだ, Fold) Due to her more relaxed or at least, traditional composure, Uxiroo’s deck of cards is halved and morphs into two paper fans. Similar to how her sister’s fire abilities cannot be used without Yori’s deck of cards, so too can Uxiroo’s water-based attacks cannot be used without or outside of the paper fans while in Shikai. Each attack or defense has its own dance sequence upon activation unless the contrary is stated otherwise. While the sequences are graceful in their entirety, they are swift and quick to the average eye.

    • Chikuseki (蓄積, Accumulation)
      Type: Offensive/Verbal or Mental Callout/Activated
By using the correct motions, Yori is able to convert an oncoming attack into pressurized water, except for electrical, wind and fire, and send it back at the opponent within seconds of it reaching her. The conversion doubles the force and speed of it.
Movements: Her arms stretch out at shoulder length and the fans swirl in opposite directions; the right turns counterclockwise while the left one turns clockwise.

    • Sakana ga Oyogu (魚 が 泳ぐ, Fishes swim)
      Type: Defensive/Verbal Callout/Activated
Two streams of pressurized water shoot out from the ends of the closed fans. They entangle both the target's arms to their sides and their legs to together, both above and under the knee. The streams are constantly in motion, which increases the difficulty of the person's escape. The strength of this ability is on par with that of Bakudō #63: Sajō Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes).

    • Soritexia (ソリティア, Solitaire)
      Type: Defensive/Offensive/Mental or Verbal Callout/Activated
This ability allows Yori to alter her biological makeup to resemble that of water. However, this transformation cannot hold the shape of her body so it is used more for attacks and defenses. It can only be used after 4 posts of Shikai since it is a preliminary to Uxiroo’s Bankai ability. She did not want it to be a total shock whenever it is that Yori achieved it. For example, it is not beyond this ability for her to take on the form of a puddle, a gigantic bubble, or a miniature typhoon, but she is not limited to this.

Obtained?: Yes

  • Bankai: Kami Redii: Uxiroo (神 レディー [ウィロー], Divine Lady: Willow) Uxiroo’s card deck morphes into a blue, black and silver set of three swords, namely one katana, one kodachi and one wakizashi.

    • Bankai Special Ability: Umi no Essensu (海 の エッセンス, Essence of the Ocean) Yori’s body undertakes a transformation where she is a being of a particular element, in this case clear, blue water. Her senses and ability to speak are still intact. The shocking part of this alteration is what clothing she has to wear while this Bankai is active. Her previous garments wash away on a breeze while new cloth crawls over her water body to cover the lower half only. The top half of her, specifically the bust area, appears to be in the buff but that is not completely true. Her breasts are covered by a wrap made of oxygen. Her motions are very graceful in this form.

One benefit of this biological alteration is that any normal, offensive advances that are made against her body such as slashing, stabbing or bodily contact do not work unless she is distracted. This is because her body is made out of purely water and the offense would simply fall through her. However, it has to be a conscious act as it works the same way when she is attacking with her body. It has to be firm as though it were a normal body part unless her intention is to splash the body part over the target. Also, the ability to form a puddle on command from her Shikai is not available in this form. A problem is that she leaves actual wet footprints wherever she walks as well as that if she is evaporated by the genius of some person, she is taken into her Inner World and she cannot return to a physical form for 3 of her posts. However, her Bankai is still active and the swords will lodge themselves in the nearest surface until she returns to normalcy. They cannot be removed by anyone other than her and Uxiroo.

      • Watashi no Kokoro no Ken: Mizu (私 の 心 の 剣 [水], The Sword of my Hearts: Water) Despite the use of three swords, this is a two sword fighting style that Yori created while she was alive. It is based on the various types of water as well as the organisms that live in the sea.

        • Watashi no Kokoro no Mizu: Kibou no Kabe (私 の 心 の 水 [希望 の 壁], Water in my Heart: Wall of Hope)
          Type: Defensive/Verbal Callout/Activated
The katana and kodachi are used for this ability. The latter is held in a straight vertical line by one hand while the former is held in a straight horizontal line beneath it. Yori does this while kneeling on the leg that is opposite to the hand that holds the kodachi. The swords glow blue before she says the name of the defense. Once the words leave her lips, a normal-sized sea lion appears and makes circles around her in almost every direction possible, sometimes disappearing into the earth to come back up again. This movement forms a clear barrier around Yori and whoever else is within her circle of personal space that protects them barely from high level attacks such as Gran Rey Cero. This means that they will survive but will be affected by the potency of it.

        • Watashi no Kokoro no Mizu: Hiiringusutaa (私 の 心 の 水 [ヒーリングスター], Water in my Heart: Healing Star)
          Type: Defensive/Verbal Callout/Activated
The wakizashi is the only one in the set that does not employ the ghost of a creature. There is an actual starfish on its hilt. When Yori places the palm of her hand on it, the starfish is able to absorb the salt from her body in order to cleanse the wounds that it heals. The healing is done by Yori drawing blood from an unharmed area of the victim's body so that the regeneration characteristics of the sea creature and the cleansing ones of the salt can enter the body. Unfortunately, the process is very painful and lasts for 3 of Yori's posts. The healing takes care of all wounds, whether caused in battle or not, except for growing limbs back. The most is that it allows the skin to cover the affected part.

        • Watashi no Kokoro no Mizu: Ko Miya no Shi (私 の 心 の 水 [故 宮 の 死], Water in my Heart: Forbidden Death)
There is a reason that there is a live starfish on the wakizashi. That is the only creature that Uxiroo deemed able to seal the true and highly dangerous power of the smallest blade of the set. In order to unleash it, salt must be rubbed onto the starfish before pulling it off the hilt. The amount of salt depends on if Watashi no Kokoro no Mizu: Hiiringusutaa (私 の 心 の 水 [ヒーリングスター], Water in my Heart: Healing Star) was used previous to this. Either way, Yori just needs to separate it from her body and rub it in there. However, all of this must be followed quickly by one of the three offenses available because the sword will unleash all three into the immediate atmosphere, namely Yori and whoever is in her circle of personal space.

          • Ko Miya no Shi: Furiizu (故 宮 の 死 [フリーズ], Forbidden Death: Freeze)
            Type: Offensive/Verbal Callout/Activated
The bare wakizashi is held in the right hand with the blade pointing left and the left hand is open and presses its back to that of the right hand. A light blue sphere appears around the hand seal before Yori states the name of the attack and a blizzard escapes from the front of the clenched right hand. It has winds over 56 km/h (35 mph) and extremely low temperatures that can freeze the opponent on impact, despite distance.

          • Ko Miya no Shi: Dassui Suru (故 宮 の 死 [脱水 する], Forbidden Death: Dehydrate)
            Type: Offensive/Mental Callout/Activated
This offense depends on distance. Yori has to be close to the target in order to strike the blade of the wakizashi into his or her body. Once in, all water and moisture bleeds rapidly from the wound and all other openings of the body. Ultimately, these effects last for 2 of Yori's post which end in complete dehydration of the body.

          • Ko Miya no Shi: Doraun (故 宮 の 死 [ドラウン], Forbidden Death: Drown)
            Type: Offensive/Verbal Callout/Activated
Yori has to be close for this one as well but not necessarily close enough to strike the target. While saying the name of the attack, she writes the Kanji for 'drown' in the air with the wakizashi. This action unlocks the water in the air and causes it gather at the feet of the opponent and shoot upwards in the shape of a typhoon. The typhoon, once taller than its victim, morphes into a sphere of water that negates all fire-based attacks while ultimately drowning whoever is caught within it.

Other Powers and Abilities

  • Advanced Strategist & Tactician
Naturally, she makes a point to observe those around her since it allows her the knowledge of which topics to have a laugh about or not. Of course, her humour is not like everyone else's. This observatory nature has lead to her ability to look at situations from an odd yet helpful standpoint, whether on the battlefield or not. She is capable of setting the pace in a fight for her advantage, usually slow, while keeping most of her abilities unknown to the other person. Once presented with hints of how things are, Yori has been known to make a few accurate predictions about what will happen, whether with regards to how a situation plays out or what could be the rest of her opponent's possible abillities and tricks.

  • Master Swordsmanship Specialist
She has grown with Kendo and Kenjutsu throughout her life by choice. Her abilities, while alive, were at times unparalleled but for the most, she was talented in both parts. This is illustrated by her ambition to create her own fighting style. Unfortunately, the purpose of this fighting style is not kept with her through her passing away but is only available to her through her Bankai. However, the skills that allowed her the thought of creating it have not been tarnished. She depends more on speed than brute strength when in combat and it shows in her smooth control of the blade as it defends her.

  • Accomplished Hakuda Combatant
Due to the odd sealed appearance of her Zanpakuto, Yori made it a point to train extensively in Hakuda under several of her teachers from the Shino Academy. Her minute standing is helpful in executing offence and defense because it does not cost her much energy. Thus, while learning how to use her body effectively in this manner, she took notes on how to build her physical strength. Thus, she is never without weights on her person. Once, she was described as a handful of fists because she uses her legs just as easily and dangerously as her arms when in battle.

  • Advanced Shunpo Practitioner
Without a proper sealed state, in Yori's mind, it was imperative that she posses as many assets when it came to her physical abilities. Thus, she trained to increase her speed, knowing that her slight frame would not be a hindrance. She is not as fast as a Captain, but she can hold her own since she learnt how to move while utilizing Shunpo, applying the supernatural speed to normal movements of her body. Usually, she can enter Shunpo with a selected body part other than her feet or legs.

  • Immense Spiritual Pressure
Due to the unfortunate circumstances of her death as well as the determined purpose in life that Yori had during her time in the World of the Living, the overbearing amount of spiritual pressure that she possesses was discovered during her original time in the Shino Academy. Apart from the regular class sessions, she trained with instructors on how to seal off her spiritual power which ironically helps it to grow in density. Unfortunately, she has not been able to master this skill as yet, letting some leak out involuntarily. Hence, a mix of hot and cold air can be felt once within her personal space. Unleashed, without the release of either Zanpakuto, her spiritual pressure has the capability to take the form of either fire or water, or both elements simultaneously. However, Yori is not aware of this and her Zanpakuto do not deem her fit to know this as yet.

Miscellaneous Information
  • Likes: Sarcasm, Katanas, Games
  • Dislikes: Happy...stuff, Memory loss, open kindness
  • Fears: Waking to no recollection of her past life, losing her abilities
  • Special Skills: Fluent in French.

Hello hello, iChan-Chan here to judge your profile. Now, I'm going to start with some general things that may have been mistakes and misinterpretations and then work specifically on your zanpakuto, some of the general things being directly related to your zanpakuto (okay, most of them might be).

First and foremost, I see she's a Lieutenant, and in this guild Lieutenants do have access to their Bankai, as well as their Shikai, which, according to the information provided, she has access to neither.

Secondly, the state of your zanpakuto is really rather confusing, as, including sub-abilities, you have two, entirely different zanpakuto holding a grand total of twenty-eight abilities(I could have miscounted, but it's well over the limit). Each RPC is allowed no more than eight, five Shikai and three Bankai. This includes any sub abilities or passives, but not abilities that can be launched or activated from multiple areas to the same effect. Which leads me to the rest of your zanpakuto.

It seems there has been some confusion as to how the Dual Element is broken down. It's one zanpakuto, not two separate ones (though it can be one zanpakuto with two separate blades) containing a mixture of two elements, either pure in their nature or combined. In this instance, for example, your zanpakuto might utilize pure fire, pure water, or steam. Again, that's just an example really.

However, with that out of the way, I'm going to ask you to make these edits before I judge the techniques of your zanpakuto.

Thanks, for joining the guild, and I look forward to hearing from you again. Please quote me when you're finished to make sure I see you, as simply posting in the OoC is not usually enough. Once that's done, I'll review it once more.

Sincerely,
The Management.

Allo, thanks for looking at my profile. With your suggestions in mind, I have altered the desired position of my character to be that of the Lieutenant position in the Seventh Division. I would apply for the Captaincy with a RP sample, but I have only samples of the another character that I have. Plus, one of her skills is Hakuda so it makes sense. I chose one of the Zanpakuto for her as well as that I reduced the amount of abilities available to her in Shikai with the plea that you let me keep the five or so of her Bankai please. I cannot see the removal of any of those. Technically, there is a Special Ability and there is one main ability that has three named sub-abilities but the overall skill is not limited to them. It is just giving a name to what she can do with that ability.

I hope that that helps and if you are interested in the aforementioned RP sample, I am more than willing to send it to you. Thank you.

Unfortunately I cannot, in good nature and fairness to others, allow such a thing. Perhaps at a later date as the story continues to unfold, as there will be some reworking and what not. As for your samples, I care not which character they come from or who they're related to. That matters not in terms of your worthiness as a Captain. That being said, please keep in mind that you will not be allowed to Captain the Division of your Lieutenant. Furthermore, even though I will not allow the subset of three abilities, I will still grade each one individually, as to help you with deciding on what to do.

Now on to zanpakuto grading, which will be followed by a general statement blanketing all of your techniques and an important aspect missing from them.

Chikuseki is mostly fine as an ability goes. It does need a cap on what it can and cannot handle, however, in terms of raw strength. That is to say, an ability not consisting of its elemental weaknesses but is of such a strength that the ability cannot handle it, such as a high level Kido.

Sakana ga Ogyu needs a range on it and the strength should be drawn back just a bit. Other than that, it seems fine.

Soritexia is a tad vague. With a make up akin to water, it would undoubtedly be hard to damage her, if not impossible without the right tools. That being said, it needs some more detail, any new or heightened weaknesses, as well as a duration of her ability to maintain a composition of water before needing to revert back to a normal form and a cool down time during which she finds herself unable to utilize a new transformation, to limit the ability to rapidly swap around and render herself nigh impossible to harm or fight.

Kibou no Kabe seems fair enough.

Hiiringsuuta is also alright,

Furiizu needs a definite range and width of the attack, as well as a shape (rectangular, conical, etc).

Dassui Suru is simply too strong. Considering that total dehydration leaves one a crispy husk and it ultimately bleeds out every ounce of moisture in the person, there's merely no counter play to it at all. Once struck, an opponent is done for. Under normal circumstances, I would simply suggest possible revisions, but this technique appears to need a complete overhaul, including its functionality, to prevent people from merely turning to dust in two posts.

Doraun is too strong, but looks to be easily fixed. It does need its strength toned down some, as it reads as if escape is impossible. Consequently, it needs a threshold it can handle, both from the inside and the outside, as well as any techniques that would weaken the structure or render it wholly pointless. With that in mind, please also edit its effectiveness against Fire based attacks in particular to at least give Fire users some kind of chance. Added to that, you need a post timer to let people know how long until they drown or cave from the pressure of the attack.

Other notes and general statements: All techniques in this guild must have a cool down time, given in posts.
