Head:
A thin strip of dark brown silk covered his eyes. This was an adornment, meant to intimidate or confuse an enemy at close quarters. This is because of a deep-seated psychological communicative sounding between humans, often other animals. Wolves will not stare into the eyes of another, for fear of arousing, or anger. Skart can still see through the silk quite well, not enough to see great distances. He can be just as efficient as a normal-sighted person in swordplay. That is, if the enemy ever got that close.

Head Accessory: Wolf's pelt.The primitive taxidermy has allowed for the upper-part of the wolf's muzzle to be presently presented over the person's brow. It continues about 5 inches forward, bearing the teeth of the deceased animal. The continued pelt, falls simply over the person's shoulders and upper back. The ears of the animal stand erect, with the left sloped forward slightly.

Upper body/Breast: Molded obsidian plates, buttressed by copper studs in a similar fashion to most of the Empire's soldiers. The obsidian is sheathed in painted leather, with silk bindings. The copper studs stick out of the hide.

Breast Accessory: Saint Lucias' symbol is adorned in a tattoo climbing down his left 'neck' area onto his torso. The symbol is a yellow isosceles triangle inside of a larger acute triangle, that is black. This larger triangle, is 'flying' in a cloud of blue. St. Lucia is the patron saint of the blind. This tells of a family history, a crisis, religious devotion, or something deeper.

Lower body: flagellates of leather studded in nickel. These flagellates are bound together.

Legs: The thighs are covered in leather, insulated with loose cotton. Lower legs; the calf of each is protected by a copper plate, with a leather frame. Skart is barefoot.

Primary Weapon: Machete Gladius
Specs: 20" Falchion Style machete, one-sided blade, built to scythe through flesh or light armor. Leather coated stone handle. Iron-forged otherwise.

Secondary: Pine-wood fashioned crossbow/ballista. Self-made arrows of varying material are used, depending on the battle and the environment.

Tertiary: My ********' fists. Possibly wrapped in the skin of a cow.

History.
When his family refused to follow Catholicism, Skart had them publicly and forcefully crucified for their heresy. Heresy, to him, was personal ambition and blindness to the lord, God.

He grew up a none, offering his mind to no religion. His family abide by the traditional Roman Religion; which was practically a primitive version of humanism and self-reliance. They would frequently make prayers to the gods of the Pantheon, though would not offer 'true' devotion to any deity. During the reign of Gaius, the state religion of the Romans shifted. Skart became a devout Catholic.

When his family refused to accept Jesus as their lord and savior, Skart branded them as heretics. He forcefully had them crucified, one by one. As each family member was put to torture, the others could be seen in grief. This was an example to every heretic that still occupied his community.
