Hyperborea had reached the last person on her gift giving list, Chaonis. The senshi of danger had saved her life twice now and she counted him as a close friend and mentor so the least she could do was get him a gift. She called the senshi on her ring. "Chaonis are you free? Can I meet you for a bit, can you come to the university campus?" She asked into the ring.
She remember the older senshi mentioning that he liked laser tag and she had found a neat device that let you play laser tag anywhere using a smartphone. She hoped he liked it.

Chaonis was happy to meet up with the Knight, though he had not really been hanging out with his friends much recently. Since picking up a job, which he was keeping a secret from his girlfriend, and working hard to get a place to live, he had very little time to spend patrolling. Usually, there was no one really around by the time he hit the streets, in the weird hours between shifts.
Unlike his dad, he was not ready with presents for anyone, as he had not really thought about anything but Navi. He was not even thinking about the time of year when he went to meet up with Hype, imagining it was for a patrol or some training or something.
Maybe she was having some more trouble with painite, and needed a hand.
"Hey, Hype. What's goin' on? You okay?" He waved when he arrived, finding her already there and waiting for him.

"Salut, Chaonis. Oh I'm fine." She quickly assured, had she given the senshi of danger the wrong idea with her call, that this was a more dire visit than just giving a gift.
"I wanted to wish you a merry Christmas, and give you this." She said reaching into her bag and pulling out his present. "Merry Christmas, Chaonis. Thank you for being there for me so much this past year."

"A present? Oh. I... I didn't really... well, thanks, man. I didn't get you anything but, I mean. You know."
He was so bad at being genuine with anyone, and he looked a little out of his depth as he tried to put his feelings into words. The only one that ever really managed to get it out of him was Navi, and she was the woman he loved. Anything short of that, it seemed, got his usual wall of emotional stuntedness.
Clearing his throat, he took the present and offered her a grin.
"Well, you know. I'm glad I could help you out, and you helped me out a bit there, too. So I guess it's good to be friends, you know? And you're one of them. I mean. You know." He sighed, hoping she could figure out what he was saying.
"Merry Christmas."

"Oh you didn't have to get me anything." She was quick to assure him. "I mean I already have so much and my grandparents will send me a ton of stuff anyways. I just like giving gifts to my friends, I'm happy just to be able to make you happier." She said with a smile.
"Merci Chaonis, I wish I could stay a bit longer but I have to get going, tell Navi I said to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." She said with a friendly wave.
