The Prince grumbled slightly as the Djinn left his company, offering her a very quick glare as she wandered inside before returning his focus to the dragon at hand. If this was a fight, it wouldn't be an easy one, but Cole knew..or well...believed... that he could slay the beast. After all. The thing was huge, far too bulky to move as fast as he could. And so the Prince would keep himself in a stance that looked prepared to dodge anything that might be thrown at him, but didn't move, for now.
"Learn?" The Prince questioned, snickering a little before continuing. "I don't need some overgrown lizard around to teach me beast. But I will offer you an ear for the time being I suppose." Cole added, his stance softening for just a moment as he held his smirk, his eyes narrowed slightly in the dragon's direction as he waited for the beast to speak.

The Dragon didn't seem even remotely offended, in fact if nothing else he seemed amused at his attempt to be intimidating."Calm, fledgling. You are not something worth the effort to crush. Instead, I have come to offer you a bargain, and a word of wisdom. Be gracious, I find few of you mortals to be amusing enough to do as much."
"Surely you can feel the power swelling, and I know what you seek. However, you are not fit to wield such power. You are emotional, attached. To hold the power it is you seek, you must cut away the binds that tether your other emotions, your kindness and love. Only anger, power lust, these things will fuel you. So long as you are bound to this world you cannot achieve that which you seek. However, were you to end that single, sole tie... You would become fit, perhaps. So I offer to you a bargain. I will assist in obtaining the piece which resides amid brimstone, should you end her life and prove your willingness to commit. You know of whom I speak, yes?"Did he expect the boy to know? Perahps. He certainly didn't expect him to comply with such a bargain... he did expect him to possibly make a counter offer. Humans loved finding new resources, Cole could not be that different.

The Prince let the dragon speak, albeit he never really let his guard down, and listened to the beasts words carefully. A deal had caught his interest, but the dragon's words would soon begin to stir something inside of the Prince. A conflict of interest so to speak. Cole knew of who the Dragon spoke of, and he would not be willing to end such a life in exchange for one measly piece of his quest. But the Demon Lord. That being was more then willing to part with one little mortal. And so the two personalities crashed into one another inside of the human's head, leaving him with a headache that felt like putting a hand on a hot stove, only the Prince couldn't pull back from it. The pain would sit, and while it would show on the Prince's face for a few moments he would begin to force it back, fighting the Demon Lord's words through sheer force of will before letting out a laugh. "Not fit to wield such power? And who are you to make that decision beast?" The Prince scoffed, his psychic energy fluctuating for a moment. "How about we try something a little different yes? You bring me this piece you speak of and I'll let you live out the rest of your miserable existence. Sound like a fair trade?"
