I'm becoming a fan of that sort of guerrilla style of filmaking. I love the feel of really low budget films that make use of the world around them. Gummo, Man Bites Dog, the August Underground movies, El Mariachi, as well as some others. I just love the way they look and feel. There is something about them that I just can't quite grasp. Maybe its the energy or something like that. I dunno. Good stuff though.

Wow I haven't posted in here in a long time. O:
I just saw Park Chan-Wook's 'I'm a cyborg, but that's ok."
I loved it. It was kind of like a screwed up version of Amelie in some ways.
He's probably actually my favourite director now that I think I have seen enough of his work to say that.

I know what you mean xmkatx, it was slow moving and lacked some substance. Haven't seen a good asian movie in a while.
I did however see this really really really terribly awesome movie called DANGEROUS MEN at the silent movie theater. Mixed plots with no reason or connection between them, terrible acting, you can see the sound guys in a bunch of the shots, and random nudity (with dancing!). To top it off, the directors name is John RAD. Best heckling ever!
