Hio all =3
You can call me Hikari or May. I'm 18, and am presently attending a small-ish college in NY state, where I fence SABRE BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I just started in October, and will be attending my third tourney this Saturday (and my fourth the Saturday after that =3) I fence for a club, instead of a sport...we don't have a team, really, but our club is pretty good for a club ^^ Umm...
If there's anyone anywhere near NY that fences and is in college, please PM me! I'd love to meet a fellow Gaian fencer at a random tourney somewhere =3
I consider fencing my life. Most of my friends are either on the sabre or foil squad. I heart epeeists, too, but sabrists are more my type =3
I also like Final Fantasy, anime, and artsy stuffs. And I like being a girl once in a while, because in my opinion, female sabrists aren't real girls. We're superior to girly-girls >=3
We have swords >=D
So yeah...Red vs. Blue or Kingdom Hearts, anyone? =3

Wow... I'm such a fencing nooblet. xd I feel so bad.
I'm a freshman in college and I've always wanted to take fencing, but couldn't because of the lack of clubs/lessons in my area. I've finally managed to get myself into a fencing class now that I'm at college and I've been fencing for about six weeks. sweatdrop I've only done foil so far, but I hear we'll be doing saber and epee later in the semester.
I had an SCA membership at one point in time where I did a few light fighting workshops, but sadly I wasn't able to continue it. (Cost of fencing gear + gas money to get to the nearest place I could practice, which was over an hour away = not too great.) So now my poor little rapier sits in disuse because I haven't made it to any of the SCA meetings in this area yet. (After getting used to a foil, just picking it up make me feel like I'm holding a tree trunk or something!) At least I have my own mask, though.

UGGHH!! i'm younger than every body!! any way i'm Kevin i'm 14 and in high school. I started out fencing epee (and stunk at it too!!) but then i started getting better and i moved on to foil (which i rock at) any way i've been fencing for about 3 years now!!

Hiya!
I guess I'll introduce myself too. I'm SilverDrgnbane (obviously), but you can call me Talon if you wish. I'm almost 19 and live in Texas. I started fencing in college out of curiosity; I've always been interested in swords and swashbuckler movies, so I decided to give it a shot. I've never really been that great at sports before, so I'm always a little skeptical when I try something new. Luckily I had nothing to fear; fencing is AWSOME! I'm actually semi-decent at it after only this spring semester's worth of class. We've only used foil for the moment, which I love, but I hope to try the others as well. This is the one sport I actually enjoy participating in! biggrin
Other random stuff about me: artist, writer, aspiring 3D animator and movie critic, nerd, wear glasses (in my mask too!), and OBSESSED Phantom of the Opera phan.
Well, that's me in a netshell. Better stop before I take up a whole page!

Hi. I dont fence in school, i am self taught, but i own. I beat 4 guys at once. I own. lol i am hopeing to go to a real school someday.

Hi everybody! I'm Stephanie, I'm 20 & I fence sabre.
I started fencing foil in my first year at university but changed to sabre (resulting in diabolical loss of point control, lots of bruises, but having a lot of fun!). I'm on the womens' 1st team & we managed to do quite well this season. I also became an apprentice armourer this year.
I love fencing. You get to meet (& then stab, I guess...) so many diverse people. Best sport in the world. Fact. biggrin

Hi I'm Sola and I'm a sixteen-year-old female fencer from California. I'm sort of a beginner and due to lack of a decent club I don't yet compete. I fence foil with a French grip and sort of want to learn sabre. I also learned the basics of katana, but lost my sword. (Believe me, with the mess in my room that is totally possible.) I joined because everyone I know goes, "Oh, Sola *sigh*" or "Aw, that's so cute!" whenever I talk about fencing. I have no real idea of my skill level because the only people I've fenced are my classmates--little kids. The only professional fencer I knew was my teacher, and I had to leave that school. So I really want to talk to some of you that (unlike me) actually know what they're doing.
