Hymn of the Silent

Musei blinked a few times, feeling his heart pounding all throughout his body, a cold sweat on his body. He felt sick as well. "Ah...I'm sorry..." He sighed, sitting up.

"Just kinda scared me is all..." He wiped some moisture from his brow, and swallowed the thick feeling in his throat. "I...I think I'm okay."

Yes, he was positive he hadn't hurt him, but if the boy had asthma or a weak heart... Well, Waterbending could only perform so many miracles... "Ah, good." Taizen could only answer, were he not so unique a person perhaps he would have shuffled his feet, or exclaimed in some erratic way about how sorry he was, or how glad he was that he hadn't hurt him. Well, Taizen wasn't quite one of tose people.

Or don't help her move the poor boy to the bed. She helped Musei sit up but her eyes were on that cub. She felt a pit in her stomach. Urg why did it have to look like...him.

Deciding to take Musei's mind on Taizen's lil 'accident', which he will be talked to about later, she playfully scratches her fingers in the thick of Musei's hair. "If you are going to keep the small one you have to name him, feed him, and take care of him alright Musei?"

Her eyes tilted towards Taizen and she offered him a faint smile. It was somewhat apologetic as if she were silently apologizing for what happened. After all it was she who screamed. She couldn't help it that she feared spiders! Come on! They are ICKY!!!

"I can do that!" Musei smiled, petting the small creature, from the crown of his head all the way down it's supple fur to the base of the tail, then starting the motion over again. "I was thinking of a name earlier and..." He paused.

"It's hard. You know, I want to name him something big and strong, but he doesn't look the part, you know? He's just...so cute!" He scratched behind the thing's ears, watching it's eyes close.

"And don't worry! He won't be a problem I swear! It'll almost be as if he's not here!" He bent down and kissed it's forehead, continuing to scratch at it's back and sides slowly.

"Thank you, Niima." He said, moving over to hug the woman. "I don't know how to thank you."

Taizen could almost hear the conversation now; "You don't just go around waterbending randomly! What if Musei was hurt?!" Or atleast something along those lines. Of course, she was right, but Niima was like his enchanted rose, for her to wilt meant he would wilt as well. Niima was transfixed with the cub, memories and feelings perhaps bubbling up to the surface. Taizen couldn't say he'd quite "Bonded" With Guardian, so he could not quite understand the emotions Niima felt at that precise moment. Taizen learned that with Niima, her feelings were oft more precise, or sharp, more used. More comfortable. So, Taizen had trouble acknowledging the emotions inside of niima, he knew all too well the shallowness of facial expressions, Niima betrayed no sadness, or joy, not even surprise, she simply watched the cub. Accepted it as though it were an old heirloom that was destined to belong to Musei anyway. Indeed she seemed to be more ecstatic about Musei caring for the cub than the cub itself.

Of course, Taizen could onyl assume, he could not read minds, and could not feel what niima felt.

He sighed as Niima smiled faintly at him, her silent apology. he nodded as Musei's eyes shone, full of the youth that rarely characterized him. Taizen; despite himself even! Had to smile. Musei was so innocent, and, now, he too had a life to protect, and Taizen hoped that it would be as revolutionary for Musei as it was for him.

She smiled and hugged Musei lightly. Yeah she was having problems with it but..it made Musei happy. She would keep a brave face if it meant his happiness! Playfully she ruffled Musei's hair. Gently she started to fix Musei's hair, her touch soft and kind. "You do not need to thank me Musei. I am glad to see you happy .."

Her eyes lift to Taizen. "Taizen? If you have the want to express your bending, we could go outside and test against each other." She didn't want him to feel the accident was something she was going to scold about. Something she would get upset about. It was an accident and it was done in attempt to protect her. It was just a good thing he caught himself.

Musei smiled, and then pouted in response to the hair mussing. He scratched at the pup's head, meeting it's movements with his hand as he played with it, white fur supple underneath his fingers.

"Well I'll thank you anyways."

Taizen smiled as warmly as he could manage for the two as Niima aggravated Musei's hair. However, the mussing of hair came to a close quickly, Musei gave his thanks, and Niima looked up to him with eyes troubled. "Express his bending?" Well, yes he did that almost everyday, no, everyday. He had to bend everyday, how could he not be expressing it? Of course, staring into Niima's eyes, Taizen had to infer that Niima was concerned for his bending. Rather, she was concerned he was too ready to jump up and strike at anything. The idea of Fighting against Niima... Well, the thing about Niima, was that she usually fights with no intention of fighting for her life, but somehow, things always change for her. Taizen groaned, "Niima, you know how... "Expressions" Of bending always end up hurting you..."

(sorry for not posting been kind of out of it x.x)

She continued to smile as she watched Musei. She was glad he was happy. Looking up at hearing Taizen she chuckles a bit. "Yeah..well..Never stopped things before, has it." Arms folding she gave quite a exaggerated sigh. "I guess that means you will have to just tend my wounds won't it?" A giggle sounded from her and she smiled sweetly to Taizen, almost as if silently daring him. "Come on Taizen. I want to see how I can hold up to your skills. I mean I know I am not as good as you but .." She shrugged a bit and lowered her eyes. She had a motive behind this but she was just too darn shy to speak of it.

Musei watched to two talking back and forth. He sat back on the bed, and the cub moved comfortably onto his lap. Quite the talk, I must admit. The exchange was pleasant, but had undertones that Musei couldn't figure out.

There was obviously more to the back-and-forth, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
